With the request from VSSM, the government increases the housing assistance in the budget 2025...

The government provides assistance of 1.20 lakh for building homes for wandering, marginalized families. However, with the high cost of living, building a home with this amount is difficult.

For families living in the city, the government provides 3.50 lakh to build homes. We have been consistently making representations for several years to increase the amount of housing assistance from the government.

During the inauguration of two settlements built by VSSM through the efforts of the government and the institution, the Honorable Chief Minister had also demanded an increase in housing assistance.

Before the start of last year's legislative session, we requested the Honorable Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai and Finance Minister Shri Kanubhai, along with the esteemed Shri Bhagwandas Panchal (former president of Bakshipanch Morcha), whom we call Kaka, to help increase the housing assistance. As a result of this request, the government increased the housing assistance by 50,000 in this budget, for which we are grateful. However, the expected amount was 3.5 lakh. But we are happy with this increment, and we will continue to make further representations for an increase.

Honorable Shri Bhagwandas Kaka has been continuously with us, advocating for various schemes related to wandering, marginalized families, water, and the environment. Every week, Kaka visits the office, guides us on which department to approach for specific representations, and then helps us make the presentations in his own way. Whenever needed, he also encourages various ministers to help. We are grateful to have Kaka with us.

We hope that the housing assistance will be further increased in next year's budget.

We are thankful to God for guiding us to undertake such noble tasks and hope that, until the last breath of our lives, we continue to be instruments for the welfare of the nomadic communities.

વિચરતા વિમુક્ત પરિવારોના ઘર બાંધવા સરકાર દ્વારા 1.20 લાખની સહાય આપવામાં આવે. પણ આટલી મોંધવારીમાં આટલી રકમમાંથી ઘર બાંધવું મુશ્કેલ. 

સરકાર દ્વારા શહેરમાં રહેતા તકવંચિત પરિવારોના મકાન બાંધવા 3.50 લાખ આપવામાં આવે. અમે પાછલા ઘણા વર્ષથી સરકારમાં મકાન સહાયની રકમમાં વધારો થાય તે માટે સતત રજૂઆતો કરી રહ્યા હતા.

આદરણીય મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રી દ્વારા VSSM એ સરકાર અને સંસ્થા સાથે સંકળાયેલા સ્વજનો મારફત બાંધેલી બે વસાહતોના ઉદઘાટન વખતે પણ મકાન સહાયમાં વધારો કરવાની માંગ કરેલી. 

ગત વર્ષે વિધાનસભા સત્ર શરૃ થતા પહેલા પણ આદરણીય મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રી ભુપેન્દ્રભાઈ તેમજ નાણામંત્રી શ્રી કનુભાઈને આદરણીય ભગવાનદાસ પંચાલ(પૂર્વ પ્રમુખ બક્ષીપંચ મોરચો) જેમને અમે કાકા કહીએ એમને સાથે રાખી ખાસ મકાન સહાયમાં વધારો કરવા વિનંતી કરેલી. આ વિનંતીના ભાગરૃપે આ બજેટમાં મકાન સહાયમાં 50,000નો વધારો સરકારે કર્યો. જે માટે સરકારના આભારી છીએ. હા આશા સહાયની રકમ 3.5 લાખની થાય એવી હતી. પણ આટલું થયું એનો રાજીપો. હજુ વધારા માટે રજૂઆત કરીશું..

આદરણીય ભગવાનકાકા સરકાર સાથે વિવિધ યોજનાઓ વિચરતા વિમુક્ત પરિવારો, પાણી અને પર્યાવરણના વિષયે બને તે માટે સતત અમારી સાથે. કાકા અઠવાડિયે એક વખત ઓફીસ આવીને કઈ રજૂઆત ક્યા વિભાગમાં કરવાની તે અંગે માર્ગદર્શન આપે ને રજૂઆત માટે પાછા સાથે આવે ને પોતાની રીતે તો એ રજૂઆત કરે જ. જરૃર પડે વિવિધ મંત્રીશ્રીઓને પણ આમાં મદદ કરવા કહે.. આવા કાકા અમારી સાથે હોવાનો રાજીપો છે.

બસ આવતા વર્ષના બજેટમાં મકાન સહાયમાં હજુ વધારો થાય તેવી સરકાર પાસે અપેક્ષા...

આવા સદકાર્યો કરવાની સમજ આપી ને આવા કાર્યોમાં નિમિત્ત બનાવવા માટે કુદરતનો આભાર.. જીવનના અંતિમ શ્વાસ સુધી તકવંચિતોના શુભમાં નિમિત્ત બનતા રહીએ એવી શુભભાવના...

Nomadic communities welcomes Mittal Patel 

"Fear is not meant to be feared,

Fearlessness is the goal,

Those who are afraid, do not frighten them,

Such is the essence of our culture."

The words of poet Dula Bhaya Kaghani are very insightful. Many villages oppose the settlement of nomadic communities. In our village, they say, "You cannot settle here." It is painful to hear such things.

However, in between all this, there are some villages that accept these families with respect. Looking at the leaders of such villages gives us encouragement to keep working in this direction.

In the village of Devpura, Vijapur, in Mehsana district, Saraniya families have been living there for years. We have been able to gather identification proof. But now, the desire is to secure a permanent place for their residence. Currently, there is no electricity in the settlement, and snakes sometimes appear where they live. When we recently passed through Devpura, we met them. They requested us to make more efforts so that they could quickly get electricity and a plot for permanent residence.

Sometimes, it feels like these families have so much hope in us. We tell them that we will present their case to the government and will work sincerely. While we hope that the government will listen to these families’ concerns and quickly provide plots, we remain hopeful.

May God always be the cause of everyone’s well-being, and may good things happen for all.

કવિ દુલા ભાયા કાગની આ વાત કેવી સૂચક. વિચરતી જાતિઓના વસવાટ સામે ઘણા ગામો વિરોધ કરે. અમારા ગામમાં તમારો વસવાટ નહીં આવું કહે.. આ બધુ સાંભળીએ ત્યારે ઘણી પીડા થાય.

જો કે આ બધાની વચમાં કેટલાક ગામો આ પરિવારોને માનભેર અપનાવે પણ ખરા.. આવા ગામના આગેવાનોને જોઈને અમને આવા કાર્યોમાં મથતા રહેવાની હામ મળે..

મહેસાણાના વિજાપુરનું દેવપુરાગામ. સરાણિયા પરિવારો ત્યાં વર્ષોથી રહે. ઓળખાણ ના પુરાવા તો અમે કઢાવ્યા. પણ હવે ઈચ્છા કાયમી રહેણાંકની જગ્યા મળે તેની. હાલ વસાહતમાં વીજળી નથી. જ્યાં રહે ત્યાં સાપ પણ નીકળે. હમણાં દેવપુરા પાસેથી નીકળ્યા ત્યારે એમને મળ્યા. સૌએ વીજળી અને પ્લોટ ઝટ મળે એ માટે વધુ કોશિશ કરવા કહ્યું.

ક્યારેક થાય આ બધા પરિવારોને અમારા પર કેટલી આશા છે. અમે કહીએ અમે સરકારમાં રજૂઆત કરીશું ને પુરા મનથી મથીશું. જો કે સરકાર આ પરિવારોની રાવ સાંભળશે ને ઝટ પ્લોટ આપશે એવી આશા પણ છે..

બસ સૌના શુભમાં ઈશ્વર હંમેશા નિમિત્ત બનાવે તેવી શુભભાવના...

These people may not seem poor at first glance. Look, they’ve even applied nail polish. They wear silver necklaces around their necks and silver anklets on their feet. Have you looked at their clothes?

Many people make assumptions about others based on their appearance. However, in my opinion, it’s important to study a person's situation thoroughly before making any assumptions.

If we go and visit the home of someone wearing a necklace and anklets, we might realize that there is no safe or treasure box in their house. If someone falls ill or there is an emergency, they sell what they are wearing—whether it’s their necklace or anklets—to cover the expenses. In a way, we can call them  moving treasury..

As for the nail polish, it costs only five rupees today. Don’t they ever feel like decorating themselves? But we find this unusual because it doesn't fit into our preconceived notion of what poverty looks like.

To truly understand someone’s situation, it is necessary to step into their shoes. Without doing so, we will never truly comprehend their reality.

 દેખાવથી આ લોકો કાંઈ ગરીબ નથી લાગતા. જુઓ નેઇલ પોલીશ કરી છે. ગળામાં ચાંદીની હાંસડી ને પગમાં કડલા અરે બુટિયા પણ ચાંદીના. પાછા કપડા જોયા? 

જેમની સાથે અમે કામ કરીએ એ લોકોને જોઈને અનેક લોકો આવી ધારણા સામાન્ય રીતે બાંધી દે. મારા મતે કોઈ પણ વ્યક્તિ વિષે ધારણા બાંધતા પહેલા એ વ્યક્તિની સ્થિતિનો સમગ્રપણે અભ્યાસ કરવો અગત્યનો.

ગળામાં હાંસડી, પગમાં કડલા જેમણે પહેર્યા છે એમના છાપરામાં જઈને ડોકિયું કરીએ તો ખ્યાલ આવે કે ત્યાં તિજોરી નથી. ઘરમાં કોઈ બીમાર પડે કે પ્રસંગ આવે તો જે ગળામાં, પગમાં પહેર્યું છે એ વેચીને ખર્ચા કાઢવાના. એક રીતે અમે તો આમને હરતી ફરતી તીજોરી કહીએ..

વળી નેઇલ પોલીસ તો આજે પાંચ રૂપિયામાં મળે. ક્યારેક એમનેય શણગાર સજવાનું મન ન થાય? પણ આપણને એ કઠ્ઠે.. કેમ કે આપણે કલ્પેલી ગરીબની વ્યાખ્યામાં આ બંધ બેસતું નથી. 

કોઈની સ્થિતિ સમજવા એમના ખાસડામાં પગ નાખવો જરૂરી. એ વગર સાચી સ્થિતિનો આપણને ખ્યાલ જ ન આવે.

VSSM constantly strives to ensure that the marginalized communities and deprived families in this country receive the support and benefits of various government schemes as citizens.

A dedicated team of workers in various districts is engaged in this effort. The expenses for this work are also significant. Typically, in such efforts, the number of people who help is very small, barely countable on one’s fingers.

Most people prefer to help directly in activities like building homes, providing food, or offering education. However, helping with honorary salaries is less popular. Everyone has their own perspective, and that's perfectly fine.

But we always feel that if the government’s allocated budget for the underprivileged is spent correctly, the direct money spent by society could be much higher. When tax money is used for various welfare schemes, it’s important that those funds are also spent correctly.

Respected Rameshbhai Kacholia from Caring Friends, respected Pratulbhai Shroff from Dr. K.R. Shroff Foundation, Vashi Parivar Foundation, and Rameshbhai Shah from US Charity are key contributors who strengthen workers and assist in human rights efforts. He says, "When our funds combine with government aid, the work becomes doubled, or even more."

With the help of such supporters, we have been able to assist thousands of people with voter cards, ration cards, housing plots, caste certificates, residential plots, housing assistance, and many other welfare programs.

Recently, we visited Sarasa village in Anand. The Salat families live on the outskirts of the village in huts. We helped them obtain identification documents. They also received their ration cards after applying. Everyone was pleased. A small amount of grain helps support them. Now, with the proof in hand, they hope to receive plots as well. We have applied for it and will ensure it is processed quickly.

These families had faced many difficulties in obtaining ration cards, as various officials would demand documents that were hard to understand. In the end, despite paying a considerable amount to middlemen, the work wasn’t done. That’s when VSSM worker Rajnibhai helped them get the cards without any cost. All the families were happy.

When respected Pratulbhai Shroff came to see how human rights work is done, the Salat families from Sarasa village shared their joy about receiving their ration cards.

We are grateful to those who assist in human rights work. Because of your help, we have been able to reach the doors of a large number of marginalized people and connect them with the government.

વિચરતી જાતિ, વંચિત પરિવારોને આ દેશના નાગરિક તરીકે આધારો, વિવિધ યોજનાઓની મદદ મળે તે માટે VSSM સતત પ્રયત્ન કરે. 

આ કાર્ય માટે વિવિધ જિલ્લામાં અમારા કાર્યકરોની ટીમ ખૂબ મથે. ટીમ પાછળ ખર્ચ પણ ઘણો થાય. સામાન્ય રીતે આવા કાર્યોમાં મદદ કરનાર લોકોની સંખ્યા એકદમ આંગળીના વેઢે ગણાય એટલી. 

મોટાભાગના સ્વજનોને સીધી મદદ જેમાં ઘર બાંધકામ, કોઈને જમાડવું, શિક્ષણ આપવું આ પ્રકારના કાર્યોમાં મદદ કરવી ગમે. પણ કોઈને માનદ વેતન આપવામાં મદદ કરવી ઓછી ગમે.. દરેકની પોતાની એક વિચાર સરણી એટલે એ યોગ્ય પણ ખરુ...

પણ અમને હંમેશા લાગે કે સરકાર વંચિતો માટે જે બજેટ ફાળવે તે યોગ્ય રીતે ખર્ચાય તો સમાજના સીધી રીતે ખર્ચાતા પૈસા કેટલા બચે.. ટેક્સ રૂપે આપણે જે ભરીએ એમાંથી જ વિવિધ કલ્યાણકારી યોજનાઓમાં પૈસા ખર્ચાય ત્યારે એ નાણાં પણ યોગ્ય રીતે ખર્ચાય એ જોવું જરૂરી..

VSSM સાથે સંકળાયેલા આદરણીય રમેશભાઈ કચોલિયા - કેરિંગ ફ્રેન્ડસ, આદરણીય પ્રતુલભાઈ શ્રોફ- ડો.કે.આર.શ્રોફ ફાઉન્ડેશન, વાશી પરિવાર ફાઉન્ડેશન અને રમેશભાઈ શાહ - યુએસ ચેરીટી ખાસ કાર્યકરોને મજબૂત કરવા અને માનવ અધિકારના કાર્યોમાં મદદ કરે. એ કહે, 'આપણા નાણાંની સાથે સરકારની સહાય ભળે તો કામ બમણું અથવા એનાથીયે અનેક ઘણું થઈ જાય.

આવા સ્વજનોની મદદથી જ અમે હજારો લોકોને મતદાર કાર્ડ, રેશનકાર્ડ, રહેવા પ્લોટ, જાતિ પ્રમાણપત્ર, રહેણાંક અર્થે પ્લોટ, ઘર માટે સહાય ટૂંકમાં અનેક પ્રકારની કલ્યાણકારી યોજનાની મદદ અપાવી શક્યા છીએ.

હમણાં આણંદના સારસા ગામ જવાનું થયું. સલાટ પરિવારો ગામના છેવાડે ઝૂંપડામાં રહે. ઓળખના આધારો તો અમે કઢાવ્યા. રેશનકાર્ડ માટે અરજી કરેલી તે એ પણ એમને મળ્યા. બધા રાજી રાજી. અનાજ થોડુ ઘણું મળે એનાથી એમને ટેકો રહે. હવે પૂરાવા થયા તો પ્લોટ પણ મળશે એવી એમને આશા. અમે અરજી કરી દીધી છે એ પણ ઝડપથી થાય તે માટે પ્રયત્ન કરીશું.

રેશનકાર્ડ કઢાવવા આ પરિવારોએ ઘણા ધક્કા ખાધા પણ નિરીક્ષર વિવિધ કાગળો અધિકારી માંગે એ સમજાય નહીં. છેવટે વચેટિયાને પૈસા એ પણ ઢગલો આપ્યા છતાં કામ ન થયા. ત્યારે VSSM ના કાર્યકર રજનીભાઈ એમને કોઈ જ પ્રકારના ખર્ચ વગર કાર્ડ કાઢી આપવામાં નિમિત્ત બન્યા. બધા પરિવારો રાજી... 

આદરણીય પ્રતુલભાઈ શ્રોફ માનવ અધિકારના કાર્યો કેવી રીતે થાય તે જોવા આવ્યા તે વખતે સારસાના સલાટ પરિવારોએ રેશનકાર્ડ મળ્યાના હરખની વાતો કરી.

માનવ અધિકારના કાર્યોમાં મદદ કરનાર સ્વજનોના અમે ઋણી છીએ...તમે મદદ કરો એટલે ખૂબ મોટી સંખ્યામાં વંચિતોના દ્વારે અમે પહોંચી શક્યાને એમને સરકાર સાથે જોડી શક્યા.

"We do not have any house of our own. We put forward our problems before the Village Panchayat & the Government but no one listened. We do not have any money . As farm labourers we just earn enough to survive. We are advised that we must save money so we can buy our own houses. They are right. Who likes to get it free ? But what to do ? Our earnings are not enough. Even if we get minimal support to start with then we can build on it. However we do not have any base to start and we expect the government to help."

Mukeshbhai & others staying in Bidaj Village of Kheda District said this Since years they were staying in temporary sheds & some with brick walls. They always had fear that they would soon be removed from there. The worry was also where they would go if removed. 

Some got electricity while many did not. In monsoon the entire settlement would get flooded. It would be like living in hell. 

The ration card still carried the names of the children though they were staying separately. 

They constantly had to fight against all these issues.  After they came in contact with our colleague Shri Rajnibhai, VSSM could help them apply for ration cards, electricity and plot of land. Collector Shri Bachhani Sir is a very noble person and he  assured that he will give the best possible help  His team also started work on this issue. 

We pray for these people of Bidaj that they will soon get their houses.

 'અમારી પાસે અમારુ પોતાનું તળિયું નથી. પંચાયત થી લઈને સરકારમાં ઘણી વખત રજૂઆત હોત કરી પણ કાંઈ મેળ નથી પડ્યો. અમારી પાહે એવા પૈસા નથી. ખેતમજૂરી કરી નભીયે. આમાં પેટજોગુ માંડ થાય. લોકો કે બચત કરીને પોતાનું કરો મફતનું હું કામ લેવાનું? એમની વાત એકરીતે હાચી.  મફતનું તો કોને ગમે? પણ હું કરીએ અમારો પનો ટૂંકો પડે. એક ફેરા એક પગથિયું થઈ જાય તો એના માથે પગ મુકી આગળ ચાલવાનું કરી લઈશું. પણ પેલ્લા પગથિયે પગ મુકવા સરકારે મદદ કરવી જોશે..'

ખેડાના બીડજમાં રહેતા મુકેશભાઈ અને અન્ય વિચરતી જાતિના પરિવારોએ આ વાત કરી. 

વર્ષોથી સરકારી જમીનમાં કાચા છાપરાં તો ક્યાંક ઈંટ માંથી બનાવેલા ઘરોમાં રહેતા આ બધા પરિવારોને સતત જગ્યા ખાલી કરાવી દેશે તો ક્યાં જાસુ? નો ભય લાગે..

વીજળીની સુવિધા કેટલાક પરિવારોને મળી તો કેટલાક હજુ વીજળીની સુવિધાથી પણ વંચિત. ચોમાસામાં આખી વસાહતમાં સખત પાણી ભરાય. બહેનો કહે, એ વખત તો આ વસાહત નરક જેવી લાગે. 

વસાહતમાં રહેતા પરિવારમાં દીકરાઓ જુદા રહેતા હોય છતાં તેમના રેશનકાર્ડનું વિભાજન ન થાય. 

આ બધા પ્રશ્નો સામે એ સતત ઝઝૂમે. અમારા કાર્યકર રજનીભાઈના સંપર્કમાં આવ્યા પછી VSSM થકી રેશનકાર્ડ,લાઈટ, પ્લોટ વગેરે જેવી પ્રાથમિક સુવિધાઓની અરજીઓ કરી..

કલેક્ટર શ્રી બાચાણી સાહેબ એકદમ ભલા અધિકારી એમણે પણ આ બધી જરૃરિયાતો સંતોષાય તે માટે મદદરૃપ થવાની ખાત્રી આપી. એમની ટીમને પણ આ કાર્યમાં મદદ માટે લગાડી.

Who does not aspire to have their own home ? We have been nomads for centuries. Our work required us to be nomads but now we want to settle down at one place".

This is the feeling of the nomadic tribe of Vadiya village in Amreli District. Some of them stay in tin roofed dwellings.

Many do not have Ration Cards. There is no guarantee that they will get food grains though some have ration cards. With the help of our associate Shri Rameshbhai many got "Antyoday" card. 

Most believed that it is not possible to get Ration Cards without bribing . We told them to be patient & keep faith. We could get Ration Cards for them which would entitle them to food grains. They also want a piece of land to build their home. We had a meeting with these families. Everyone wanted to have a home. We will sincerely try to get them one. Our earnest request to the authorities in Amreli to identify such homeless people and provide them with homes.

પોતાની જગ્યા મળેની હોંશ તો કોને ન હોય? અમે સદીઓ રઝડ્યા. અમારા વ્યવસાયો એવા હતા એટલે. પણ હવે ઠરીઠામ થવું છે.' 

અમરેલીના વડિયામાં વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિના ઘણા પરિવારો છાપરાં બાંધીને રહે. તેમની આ લાગણી કે માંગણી. 

રેશનકાર્ડ પણ ઘણા પાસે નહીં. જેમની પાસે છે એમાંના ઘણા પાસે અનાજ મળે એવું નહીં.

અમારા કાર્યકર રમેશભાઈની મદદથી કેટલાક પરિવારોને અંત્યોદયકાર્ડ મળ્યા. 

આમ તો વસાહત ઘણી મોટી પણ તેમાં રહેનાર સૌને સરકારમાં વગર પૈસે કામ થાય તેવો ભરોષો નહીં. ્અમે ભરોષો કરવા કહ્યું ને જે થોડા પરિવારોએ કર્યો. એમના રેશનકાર્ડ બન્યા. 

હવે દરેક પરિવાર અનાજ મળે એવું રેશનકાર્ડ તેમજ પોતાની જમીન પણ ઈચ્છે. જેથી ત્યાં પાક્કુ ઘર બાંધી શકાય. 

અમે આ પરિવારો સાથે બેઠક કરી.

saying that Saraniya ladies welcomed me with folded hands.

I wondered, where would they have seen me

Further added, " we got the news that you had come to Kundla, but that time we were moving around in villages so we could not meet"

I was just listening to them when the lady said " I told everyone that they call Mittalben. Only then will our problems be solved. Else our life time will be spent moving around without homes. We will never be happy"

What faith they all have in us !!

They do not even know what we do. But yes we stand together in their difficult & happy times. If someone creates nuisance & difficulties for them, we do show our strength and warn them " It's enough". This support gives them a lot of comfort.

In Dhasa village of Botad, this Saraniya family spends the monsoon season and after that they pack up and live a nomad's life to earn their living.

They traded in bullocks but with increased use of tractors this also stopped. With no activity left it was meaningless to move around . They now want to settle down in one place. A permanent place from where no one can evict them.

 We will definitely help them because they are very much part of us. To give joy & happiness to others is the most satisfying work one can do. So we will for sure not fail in our duty.

'અરે બેન બા કેટલા વરહે તમને દીઠા. તમે ઝેણા હતા તાણ જોયેલા.' એમ કહીને બોટાદના ઢસાના સરાણિયા બહેનોએ મારા ઓવારણા લીધા પછી હાથ મેળવી રામ રામ કર્યા..

એમણે મને ક્યાં જોઈ હશે એ વિચારી રહી ત્યાં પાછા એ બોલ્યા,

'આમ તમારા વાવડ અમને મયળા કરે કે તમે કુંડલા આઈવાતા, બગસરા આઈવાતા, પણ ઈ ટાણે અમે ગામડાંઓમાં ફરતા તે મળવા નો અવાણું.'

હું એમને સાંભળી રહી હતી...

ત્યાં એ પાછુ બોલ્યા. 'મે તો બધા જણને કીધું કે એક ફેરા નેતલબેનને બોલાવો એ આવે તો આપણો કાંક ઉદ્ધાર થાય. બાકી આમના આમ ઘરબાર વના જીંદગી વઈ જાહે..પણ સુખ નઈ પામીયે'

કેવો વિશ્વાસ આ બધાને?

અમે શું કરી શકીએ એય ખબર નહીં. પણ હા, સુખ દુઃખમાં અમે સાથે ઊભા રહીએ.. કોઈ રંજાડે તો લાલ આંખે કરીને  'હવે બસ' કહીએ.. પણ આ સધિયારો એમને ઘણો મોટો..

બોટાદના ઢસામાં ઘણા વર્ષથી સરાણિયા પરિવારો ચોમાસુ રહે. ચોમાસુ ઉતરતા ગાડાં લઈને રોજી રોટી રળવા નીકળી પડે. 

બળદોનો વેપાર કરનાર આ પરિવારોના ધંધા હવે ભાંગ્યા એટલે ફરવાનો પણ મતલબ નથી. હવે એમને સ્થિર જીવન જોઈએ છે. પાક્કું અને પોતાનું ઘર પણ જોઈએ છે જ્યાંથી એમને કોઈ કાઢી ન શકે.

આ બધુંયે કરીશું. મૂળ તો આ આપણા જ ને ! અને કોઈને સુખ આપવાનું કામ તો આ દુનિયામાં સૌથી મોટું તો એમાં પાછી પાની કેમ કરીએ...

“We have grown up in a shanty, but after the birth of our children, we decided to move into a rented pucca room. Enduring monsoons in a shanty is difficult; the children remained ill through the season. Hence we had to move to a better place. But renting a place also comes with its challenges. We are daily wage earners; sometimes, when we are faced with financial difficulties and miss paying the rent, the landlord quarrels with us and throws us and our belongings out of the house. Those were painful days. But now that we have received plots, we are at peace; very soon, we will build the home of our dreams over it. We will now have a permanent address,” there was a pain in her voice when Sonalben, a resident of Surendranagar shared her plight.

VSSM has been striving to obtain plots for the homeless nomadic families of Surendranagar. Our team member  Harshadbhai is very compassionate toward the needs of these families. He helped file applications; consequently, 70 such families have been allotted plots in Khamisana village. 

The Human Rights endeavors VSSM carries need particular imputes, and respected Shri Pratulbhai Shroff’s  (KRSF) support helps us work towards the attainment of fundamental rights of these families. Thank you, Pratulbhai.

We have filed applications for housing support for these families. A meeting was organized with the families to consult them on the type of houses they would wish to construct. And there was a unanimous agreement on building houses similar to Gondal’s Sanjivani Society-2. However, each such house costs around Rs. 3.5 lacs, and each family has shown readiness to contribute towards the construction because the house is built once in a lifetime, they feel. And it is rightfully so.

The families will receive Rs. 1.20 lacs for the construction; their houses will be built with the collective support of the government, VSSM, and beneficial families.

 "આખી જીંદગી છાપરામાં કાઢી. પણ છોકરાં આવ્યા પછી ભાડેથી એક રૃમના ઘરમાં રહેવા ગઈ. છાપરાંમાં ચોમાસુ કાઢવું અઘરુ પડે ને છોકરાં બિમારેય બહુ રેતા એટલે. પણ મજૂરી કરીને ઘર ચલાવવાની સાથે છોકરાં મોટા કરવામાં ક્યારેક ઘરનું ભાડુ ભરવામાં આઘુ પાછુ થઈ જાય તો મકાન માલીક આવી ગમે એમ મનફાવે એવું બોલે. ઘણી વખત ઘરમાંથી સામાન બહાર ફેંકી દે, કાઠી મુકે. એ વખતે બહુ રડવું આવતું પણ શું કરીએ? પણ હવે નિરાંત છે. તમે અમારી સાથે રહ્યા અમને રહેવા પોતાના પ્લોટ અપાવ્યા. અને હવે એના માથે ઘર પણ બંધાશે. અમે સરનામાંવાળા થાશું."

સુરેન્દ્રનગરમાં રહેતા સોનલબહેને ભારે પીડા સાથે આ કહ્યું. 

વર્ષોથી સુરેન્દ્રનગરમાં એક જગ્યાએથી બીજે ને ત્યાંથી ત્રીજે રઝળતા પરિવારોને પ્લોટ મળે તે માટે VSSM મથે. અમારા કાર્યકર હર્ષદભાઈ આ બધા પરિવારો માટે ખુબ લાગણી રાખે.તે એમણે બધાની અરજી કરી અને 70 પરિવારોને ખમીસણાગામાં રહેવા પ્લોટ ફળવ્યા.

આ કાર્ય માટે અમને આદરણીય પ્રતુલભાઈ શ્રોફ (KRSF) ઘણી મદદ કરે તેમની મદદથી આ સમુદાયોને તેમના અધિકાર આપાવવાના કાર્યો અમે કરી શક્યા છીએ. તેમના અમે ઘણા આભારી છીએ. 

આ પરિવારોને ફળવાયેલા પ્લોટ પર મકાન બાંધવા સહાય મળે તે માટે અરજી થઈ ગઈ છે. બસ સહાય મળ્યા પછી કેવા ઘર બાંધવા તે બાબતે આ પરિવારો સાથે બેઠક થઈ. બધા પરિવારોએ અમે ગોંડલમાં બાંધેલી સંજીવની સોસાયટી -2 જેવા ઘરો બાંધવાની લાગણી દર્શાવી. પણ એ ઘર બાંધવા 3.5 લાખનો ખર્ચ પ્રત્યેક ઘર દીઠ થાય. 

બધા પરિવારોએ પોતે પણ ઘરમાં પૈસા ઉમેરશે એમ કહ્યું પણ અમારા ઘર સરસ બાંધો. વાત સાચી ઘર એક જ વખત બંધાય છે. 

સરકારના 1.20 લાખ,VSSM પણ ઉમેરશે ને જેમના ઘર બાંધવાના છે એ લોકો પણ પોતાના પૈસા ઉમેરશે. ટૂંકમાં સૌના સહિયારા પ્રયાસથી સરસ ઘર બંધાશે અને આ પરિવારો વગડાંમાંથી વહાલપની વસાહતમાં જશે..

Banaskantha’s Tadav has a huge concentration of Vadi families. The families have been living here for decades, but when we first met them in 2006, they had no identity proof. VSSM’s interventions helped them gradually obtain their documents.

The yearning was to own a residential plot to build a house over it.

In 2016, VSSM assisted the families in filing individual appeals to the government for the allotment of residential plots. But despite the supportive attitude of the panchayat and villagers, the applications remained pending.

Shri Jai Goswami got appointed as Block Development Officer of Vav block. An extremely compassionate individual, Jaibhai has made it a practice to ask us about pending works in whichever region he gets deputed. At Vav, these files were awaiting his arrival. He immediately allotted plots to the Vadi families and sanctioned the aid for constructing houses on the allotted plots. And also donated Rs. 10,000 for the construction of houses.

The new developments promised light at the end of the tunnel, and the Vadi families of Tadav were a thrilled lot. Finally, the homes they had dreamt of were set to be a reality.

Our well-wishers, Shri Dharmenbhai Shah, assured of providing the deficient amount required to accomplish houses for these families. “We will work hard, take a loan but build bigger houses that will last for generations.

We will ensure their dreams turn into a reality,  and we are also grateful to Jaibhai and the administration of Banaskantha for their support. A few families are still awaiting the allotment of plots; we hope that also happens soon and we can build an equipped colony.

સુખનું સરનામુ ક્યારે...

બનાસકાંઠાનું ટડાવ. વાંસફોડા વાદી પરિવારો ત્યાં રહે. આમ તો વસવાટ વર્ષોનો પણ જ્યારે એમને પહેલીવાર મળેલી એ વખતે તો એમની પાસે ઓળખના આધારોય નહોતા. ધીમે ધીમે એ બધુ થયું.

પણ એમની ઈચ્છા એમને રહેવા પ્લોટ, કાયમી જગ્યા મળે એની જેથી એના પર મકાન બાંધી શકાય. 

2016માં પ્લોટ ફાળવણી માટે અરજી કરેલી. પંચાયતથી લઈને સૌનો અભીપ્રાય એકદમ હકારાત્મક પણ કોણ જાણે કામ ક્યાં અટકતું હતું તે સમજાતું નહોતું. પણ કહે છે ને જેના હાથમાં જશ રેખા હોય એના હાથે આ કાર્ય થાય. બસ આ વિધાન સાચુ પડ્યુ.  

જય ગોસ્વામી તાલુકા વિકાસ અધિકારી તરીકે વાવમાં મુકાયા. એકદમ ઋજુ હૃદયના અધિકારી. એમની જ્યાં પણ બદલી થાય ફોન કરીને બેન મારા લાયક કશું પણ હોય જણાવજો એવું અચૂક કહે, તે બસ અહીયા એમના લાયક કામ પડતર હતું. 

એમણે તુરત વાદી પરિવારોને રહેણાંક અર્થે પ્લોટ ફાળવી દીધા સાથે મકાન બાંધવા મકાન સહાય પણ મંજૂર કરી દીધી. 

વળી મકાન બાંધવા એમણે વ્યક્તિગત 10,000નું અનુદાન પણ આપ્યું. 

ટડાવમાં રહેતા તમામ પરિવારો રાજી રાજી. વર્ષોથી વાટ જોતા એ ઘર હવે થવાના.

અમારા ધર્મેનભાઈ શાહે આ પરિવારોના મકાન બાંધવા ખૂટતી મદદ કરવાની ખાત્રી આપી છે. તો વળી જેમના ઘર બંધાવાના એ લોકોએ પણ કહ્યું, કે ઘર થોડા મોટા બાઁધીશું. અમે મેનત મજૂરી કરીશું. તમે લોન આપજો. પણ સારા ઘર થાય એવું કરજો. 

આ પરિવારોની એષણા પુર્ણ થાય એવું તો કરવાનુ જ. પણ જયભાઈ અને બનાસકાંઠાના તમામ વહીવટીતંત્રનો પણ આભાર. એમની લાગણીના લીધે આ કાર્ય પૂર્ણ થયું.. સાથે હજુ કેટલાક પરિવારોને પ્લોટ ફાળવવાના બાકી એ કાર્ય પણ સત્વરે પૂર્ણ કરવા વિનતી. જેથી મજાની કોલોની ત્યાં થઈ જાય.

 “We have been staying here for decades, yet no one has cared for us. Earlier, we used to roam around the villages to build mud houses; now we work as labor at brick kilns.”

“How long have you been staying in Karol?”

“It has been years. Our forefathers used to wander for work, but gradually the need for our skills reduced, and work stopped coming our way. There was no need to keep wandering. So we made the wasteland of Karol our home. The village too did not oppose our staying here; as a result, we have continued to remain on this land. Although, most of the time, we remain  away from our village to work on the brick kilns.”

The Oad families of Sabarkantha’s Prantij shared the above. The families have no land to call their own. The Oads are skilled at working with mud and traditionally made mud houses to earn a living. They have also built the ones on the wasteland. They are kuccha but home nonetheless. Since these houses are on government wasteland, there is this constant fear that they would be asked to vacate them!

VSSM’s Tohid has helped file residential plot applications for these families. The District Collector is a compassionate official; he has initiated the process of finding and allotting plots to these families at the earliest opportunity.

We also hope the families are allotted plots as soon as possible.

'અમે અહીંયા વર્ષોથી રહીએ પણ અમારી ભાળ કોઈયે કાઢી નહીં. પહેલાં માટીના ઘરો બાંધવા ગામે ગામ ફરતા પણ હવે એ બધુ કાંઈ ચાલે નહીં. અમે હાલ ઈંટોના ભઠ્ઠામાં ઈંટો પાડવાની મજૂરી કરીએ.''તે તમે કરોલમાં ક્યાંરથી રહો?'

'વર્ષો થયા. બાપ દાદા પહેલાં ફરતા પણ પછી કામ જ મળવાનું બંધ થયું તે આ કરોલના ખરાબામાં છાપરાં વાળ્યા. ગામેય કાંઈ વાંધો ન લીધો તે બસ અહીંયા રહીએ છીએ. જો કે ઘણો સમય તો અમે ગામ બહાર ઈંટો પાડવા જતા રહીએ..'

સાબરકાંઠાના પ્રાંતિજના કરોલમાં રહેતા ઓડ પરિવારોએ આ વાત કરી. વર્ષોથી ખરાબામાં રહેતા આ પરિવારોના નામે જગ્યા નથી. આ પરિવારોની માટીમાંથી ઘરો બનાવવાની આવડત તે એમણે પોતાના ઘરો માટીમાંથી બાંધ્યા. હા એ ઘરો કાચા પણ એમણે એ બાંધ્યા. પણ એમને સતત ભય જગ્યા કોઈ ખાલી કરાવશે તેનો? 

અમારા કાર્યકર તોહીદભાઈએ આ પરિવારોને પ્લોટ મળે તે માટે કલેક્ટર શ્રીને અરજી કરી દીધી છે. કલેક્ટર શ્રી પોતે પણ ભલા માણસ છે એમણે આ પરિવારોને ઝડપથી પ્લોટ ફાળવવા તજવીજ હાથ ધરી છે.બસ સત્વરે આ પરિવારોને પ્લોટ મળે તેવી આશા....

 9 nomadic families of Tadav

Tadav is a remote village in Banaskantha’s Vav block.

In 2006,  when we first learned about the presence of the nomadic Vansfoda community, I visited the village with Manubhai of Dalit Sangathan and our ex-teammate Shardaben.

The settlements of these communities are located amid wild woodlands.

“What are your expectations from the government?” we had asked these families.

“We need identity documents (Voter ID cards); we have no paper to prove our existence,” they had responded.

We had raised the issue with the government, and the then Chief Election Officer Shri Vinod Babbar helped issuance of Voter ID cards for thousands of such families.

Shardaben had completed the formalities of filling up the forms and asked the applicants to reach Mamlatdar’s office at 11 o’clock on Monday.

It was Monday, and no one had reached the office. Shardaben called to inform me that the community men had not come to the office. I called Lalabhai, Bhikhabhai to inquire about their absence.

“Khamma bapa!” they said.

“You have to reach the office!” I told them again.

“Khamma bapa!” was the repeated response.

Every time I insisted, they would utter Khamma Bapa (apologies).

They did not make it to the office on Monday. I failed to understand the reason for this behavior. I could only understand the reason behind this attitude after my next visit to the settlement.

Shir Vinod Babbar had made special provisions to ensure it becomes easy for families to access Voter ID cards. In my book “Sarnama Vina na Manvio” I have shared this and many such stories at length.

VSSM had been striving for years to acquire residential plots for these Vansfoda families, but the efforts did not yield any results. Gradually the families began receiving support from the village and its Sarpanch Shri Pravinnsinh. Later one of our ardent supporters and well-wishers Jai Goswami was transferred to the region as Block Development Officer.  Shri Jai is a very compassionate official; he also donates to VSSM’s initiatives. Whenever he gets transferred to a new region, he invariably calls up to inform and offer help whenever needed.

After he was transferred to the Vav block, he immediately allotted residential plots to 9 families of Tadav, few still remain, but we are sure they too will be allotted plots at the earliest.

We are also grateful for the support of DDO Shri Swapnil Khare for his interest and consent to our efforts.

Jaibhai has also committed to releasing housing support to these families during Navratri. Once the assistance comes through Shri Dhramenbhai Shah, VSSM’s Mumbai based well-wisher will contribute the remaining amount to help these Vadi families complete their houses. These combined efforts will help the impoverished Vadi families move into homes built with care and love.

We also thank our team members Naranbhai and Bhagwanbhai for chasing these and many such applications to bring them to the desired conclusion. And many thanks to the village Sarpanch and leaders and each of you who have supported these efforts from the beginning.

2006માં પહેલીવાર ત્યાં રહેતા વાંસફોડા જેને ત્યાં સૌ વાદી તરીકે ઓળખે તેમના વસવાટની માહિતી મળેલી ને હું ત્યાં દલિત સંગઠનના મનુભાઈ સાથે એ વખતે અમારી સાથે હતા તે અમારા કાર્યકર શારદાબહેન સાથે પહોંચી.

બાવળોની વચમાં આ પરિવારોના ડેરા. સરકાર પાસે શું અપેક્ષા એવું પુછ્યું ત્યારે એમણે કહેલું, 'ઓળખોણનો ઓધાર' (મતદારકાર્ડ)

પણ એમની પાસે કોઈ પુરાવો નહીં. એ વખતે આદરણીય વિનોદ બબ્બર સાહેબ મુખ્ય નિર્વાચન અધિકારી અમને આવા ઓળખાણ વગરના માણસોને ઓળખાણ મળે તે માટે મદદ કરે. 

શારદાબહેનને આ પરિવારોના મતદારકાર્ડ માટેના ફોર્મ ભરવા કહ્યું અને સોમવારે મામલતદાર કચેરીએ બધા વ્યક્તિઓ 11 વાગે ફોર્મ જમા કરાવવા પહોંચી જજોનું કહ્યું.

સોમવાર આવ્યો પણ કચેરીએ કોઈ પહોંચ્યુ નહીં. શારદાબહેને મને કહ્યું ને મે લાલાભાઈ, ભીખાભાઈને ફોન કર્યો ને કહ્યું, 'કેમ કચેરીએ પહોંચ્યા નથી? ત્યાં આજે અધિકારીને મળવાનું છે..'

મારી વાત સાંભળી લાલાભાઈએ કહ્યું, 'ખમ્માબાપ..'

મે ફરી કહ્યું;

'તમારે જવાનું છે' 

'ખમ્મા બાપ...'

ટૂંકમાં હું કાંઈ પણ કહુ જવામાં એ 'ખમ્મા બાપ..' બોલે..

મારી વાત એ સમજ્યા નથી કે શું ગરબડ થાય છે એ ન સમજાયું. પણ એ સોમવારે ન ગયા. એ પછી રૃબરૃ ફરી વસાહતમાં ગયા ને આખી વાત સમજાવી..

ટૂંકમાં આવી સ્થિતિવાળા ટડાવના આ પરિવારોને મતદારકાર્ડ મળે તે માટે ખુદ વિનોદ બબ્બર સાહેબે મામલતદારને સૂચના આપેલી. 

મારા પુસ્તક 'સરનામા વિનાના માનવીઓ' માં આ આખી ઘટનાનું વર્ણન કર્યું છે. 

આવા વાંસફોડા પરિવારોને રહેણાંક અર્થે પ્લોટ મળે તે માટે અમે વર્ષોથી રજૂઆતો કરતા. પણ  મેળ નહોતો પડતો. 

ટડાવ સરપંચ પ્રવિણસીંહ અને ગામનો સહયોગ પણ આ પરિવારોને મળવા માંડ્યો હતો.. આવામાં પ્રિય ભાઈ જય ગોસ્વામીની ત્યાં તાલુકા વિકાસ અધિકારી તરીકે બદલી થઈ. એકદમ લાગણીવાળા અધિકારી. વળી અમારા કાર્યોમાં એ અનુદાન પણ આપે. હંમેશાં જ્યાં પણ બદલી થાય ફોન કરીને, બહેન આ જગ્યાએ છું મારા લાયક કોઈ પણ કામ હોય જણાવજોનું એ અચૂક કહે. 

તેમની બદલી વાવ તાલુકામાં થઈ ને એમણે ટડાવના 9 પરિવારોને પ્લોટ ફાળવણી તત્કાલ કરી દીધી.

જો કે હજુ કેટલાક પરિવારો બાકી છે એમને પણ સત્વરે પ્લોટ ફળવાય તેવી આશા છે. 

જિલ્લા વિકાસ અધિકારી શ્રી સ્વપ્નીલ ખરેનો પણ ઘણો આભાર. એ પોતે પણ અમારા કાર્યોમાં ખુબ રસ લે ને મદદ પણ કરે. 

આ પરિવારોને મકાન સહાય પણ નવરાત્રીમાં આપી દેવાનું જયભાઈએ કહ્યું છે. સરકારી સહાય મળશે પછી મુંબઈમાં રહેતા અમારા ધર્મેનભાઈ શાહ સારુ મકાન બને તે માટે ખુટતી રકમ આપશે. આમ સરકાર અને VSSM સાથે સંકળાયેલા પ્રિયજન ધર્મેનભાઈની મદદથી વાદી પરિવારોના ઘર બાંધીશું.. એમને વગડાંમાંથી વહાલપની વસાહતમાં લઈ જઈશું.

અમારા કાર્યકર નારણભાઈ, ભગવાનભાઈનો પણ ઘણો આભાર.. ને આ કાર્યમાં શરૃઆતથી જે પણ વ્યક્તિઓએ મદદ કરી તે, ગામના સરપંચને ગામના અન્યોનો પણ ઘણો આભાર...

Mittal Patel meets Divya

The one clinging to me is Divya, a grade 2 student. She must have been four years old when her mother passed away. 2 years back, she lost her father to Corona. Divya's eldest sister Tejal is 15 years old, but she has taken it upon herself to raise her three younger sisters, Hetal, Rajshree and Divya. Tejal works as domestic help, but the income is insufficient to meet the expenses. VSSM's Vinodbhai learned about the condition of the four sisters and reached their home in Ghoghamba.

The girls endure pathetic living conditions. "I experience constant fear. Nobody from our parent's families comes to inquire about our well-being !" Tejal shared. Some relatives come to meet them but cannot be of much help as their living condition is equally poor. As a result, the girls live as destitute orphans.

To being, we decided to provide monthly ration kits to the girls. We also decided to build them a house for which Nimeshbhai donated Rs. 50,000. In the meantime, we also brought the plight of these girls to the notice of Panchmahal District Collector Shri Sujal Myatra. He immediately linked them to Palak Mata Pita Scheme. The girls also received Rs. 4000 each as their father had succumbed to Corona. However, they were not entitled to receive any assistance for the construction of the house because they were minors. Shri Myatra appealed to a private firm to help build a house for these girls, and the construction for the same is underway. VSSM's Vinod inquires about their well-being when he visits them to deliver the ratio kit.

Recently, I was in the region and decided to see them. Tejal has dropped out of school. She wants to take up some vocational skills like sewing or beautician training. Hetal also doesn't like to go to school, but we have convinced her to continue. And Divya and Rajshree decided to come hug me. As if she wanted to come along with me, Divya keep holding me tightly.

"What would you live to be when to grow up?" I asked her.

"Madam," she replied.

I feel immense love for these girls. Next year they will be with us at our hostel, for sure.

We are grateful to the district collector for his immediate response to provide them with a safe roof over their head. Nimeshbhai's contribution helped us install electric fittings and an almirah the girls needed.

Vitthalbhai, the girls' neighbor, has accepted the responsibility of becoming their guardian. And Vinod's care for these girls has made him Kaka to them. 

It is incredible to experience these connections God creates. It makes me feel grateful to him.

આ મને વળગીને ઊભી છે એ દિવ્યા. બીજા ધોરણમાં ભણે. એ લગભગ ત્રણ - ચાર વર્ષની હશે ત્યારે એની મા ગુજરી ગઈ અને બે વર્ષ પહેલાં એના પિતા કોરોનામાં ગયા. મોટી બહેન તેજલ આમ તો એય 15 વર્ષની જ. એણે દિવ્યા સહીત હેતલ અને રાજશ્રીને ઉછેરવાનું કર્યું. એ કચરા પોતા કરવા જતી ને એમાં જે મળે તેમાં પુરુ કરવા કોશીશ કરે. અમારા કાર્યકર વિનોદના ધ્યાને આ વાત આવી. એ પહોંચ્યો ધોધંબા તેજલના ઘરે. 

સ્થિતિ અત્યંત દયનીય રહેવા સરખુ ઘર પણ નહીં. પછીત પડી ગયેલી. તેજલ કહે, "મને સતત બીક લાગે છે" વળી મા કે પિતાના ઘરમાંથી કોઈ ખબર પુછવા પણ ન આવે. સાવ નોંધારી દીકરીઓ. હા ફોઈ ક્યારેક ખબર પુછી જાય પણ એમની સ્થિતિ કાંઈ એવી સારી નહીં કે એ મદદ કરી શકે. 

અમે પ્રથમ અનાજ આપવાનું નક્કી કર્યું. ઘર બાંધવાનું પણ નક્કી કર્યું ને એ માટે અમારા નિમેશભાઈએ 50,000 મોકલી પણ આપ્યા. પણ ત્યાં કલેક્ટર શ્રી પંચમહાલ સુજલ મયાત્રાના ધ્યાને અમે વિગત મૂકીૂ કે એમણે તુરત પાલક માતા પિતા સહાય શરૃ કરાવી. પિતા કોરોનામાં ગુજરી ગયેલા એટલે પ્રત્યેક દીકરીને 4000 લેખે 16,000 મળે. ઘર બાંધકામમાં સરકારી સહાય મળે એમ નહોતું. મૂળ દીકરીઓ નાની એટલે. કલેક્ટર શ્રીએ એક કંપનીને આ દીકરીઓનું ઘર બાંધી આપવા કહ્યું ને ઘર બાંધકામ શરૃ થયું.અમે દીકરીઓને દર મહિને રાશન આપીયે. મૂળ એ બહાને અમારો વિનોદ દીકરીઓ પાસે નિયમીત જાય ને એમના ખબર અંતર લઈ શકે. 

હમણાં મારે જવાનું થયું. તેજલે ભણવાનું છોડી દીધું છે. એને ગમતુ નથી. એને કોઈ સીવણ કે બ્યુટીપાર્લરનો કોર્સ કરવાની ઈચ્છા છે. જ્યારે હેતલને પણ નિશાળ નથી ગમતી. અમે સમજાવી એટલે એ નિશાળ જવા તૈયાર થઈ.પણ નાની દિવ્યા અને રાજશ્રી તો મને આમ ચોંટી જ ગઈ. દિવ્યા તો એકદમ જ.. હું તમારી સાથે અમદાવાદ આવીશ એવા ભાવથી મને પકડીને જ રહી. પરાણે વહાલી લાગે એવી મીઠુડી. મે એને પુછ્યું ભણીને શું બનીશ તો કહે, "મેડમ..."

આવી દીકરીઓ ઉપર તો ખુબ હેત આવે. બસ આવતા વર્ષે એને ઉપાડી આવીશું અમારી પાસે.. 

પણ કલેક્ટર શ્રીનો આભાર એમણે આ દિકરીઓને છત કરી આપી. નિમેશભાઈની મદદથી દીકરીઓના ઘરમાં લાઈટ ફીટીંગ કરાવ્યું. તેમજ એમને જરૃર તીજોરીની હતી એ લઈ આપી. આ દીકરીઓના પાલક તરીકે તેમના પડોશમાં રહેતા વિઠ્ઠલભાઈએ જવાબદારી સ્વીકારી છે. તેમનો પણ આભાર... અને વિનોદને આ દીકરીઓ કાકા કહે.. અને વિનોદ પણ કાકા જેવું જ હેત રાખે... ક્યારેક થાય ઈશ્વરે કેવી અદભૂત રીતે બધાને ભેગા કરી દીધા... થેક્યુ તો એને કહેવાનું જ હોય..
