"I walk in the scorching sun

With this belief;

If I burn, 

my house will be lit and

Food would be cooked on the burning stove."

Proving these poetic lines, I happened to meet some families in the border area of the small desert of Paatdi, Dasaadaa, which is known for its saline soil in Gujarat. 

One notable village is Jaravala, where the Bajaniya families of nomadic tribe reside, located away from the main village. We arrived in the sweltering heat to find that these families live in clay huts on land owned by the forest department. Their livelihood depends on agricultural labor; however, the area's conditions mean they do not have consistent work throughout the year.

In this situation, we applied for the Antyodaya Ration Card to ensure food security for these families. The government is very responsive to this issue. The Honorable Chief Minister and the Welfare Department have been extremely supportive of our mission. With their cooperation, we have successfully provided Antyodaya cards to thousands of families so far.

After advocating for families living in Jarvalaa, they successfully received their Antyodaya cards. We also played a key role in helping these families obtain their Caste Certificates. Currently, we are working to secure a permanent place for them to live. The Honorable Chief Minister is also supportive of this cause, which gives us hope that this task will be completed quickly.

Surendranagar Collector Dr. Rajendra Kumar is a compassionate officer. We met him as well, and he has promised to assist homeless families from nomadic tribes living in Surendranagar district. We are thankful for his support.

Gelabhai expresses his happiness about receiving the ration card. "To be honest, we don't have the skills to handle the paperwork in government offices. But after getting the card, we receive 35 kg of grains, sugar, and sometimes pulses as well. This support means a lot to us."

Supporting families like Gelabhai's would be impossible without a strong team. This mission is made possible thanks to the support of Respected Pratulbhai Shroff and the Dr. K R Shroff Foundation, for which we are very grateful. 

All of this has been achieved through the hard work of our dedicated activists, Harshadbhai and Chhanabhai, from Surendranagar. We are fortunate to have such committed volunteers on our team.

આ પંક્તિઓને સાર્થક કરતા પરિવારોને હમણાં મળવાનું થયું. ગુજરાતનો ખારોપાટ એટલે પાટડી, દસાડાનો નાના રણની કાંધીએ આવેલો વિસ્તાર. 

ત્યાંનું જરવલા ગામ. બજાણિયા પરિવારો ગામથી દૂર રહે. બળબળતી ગરમીમાં અમે ત્યાં પહોંચ્યા. જંગલ  વિભાગની જમીનમાં ગાર માટીમાંથી બનાવેલા ઘરોમાં આ પરિવારો રહે. ખેતમજૂરી પર સૌ નભે. પણ વિસ્તાર  એવો તે બારે મહિના મજૂરી ન મળે. 

આવામાં આ પરિવારોની અન્ન સુરક્ષા જળવાય તે માટે અમે અત્યોદય રેશનકાર્ડ માટે અરજી કરી. સરકાર વિચરતી જાતિઓના મુદ્દે ઘણી સંવેદનશીલ આદરણીય મુખ્યમંત્રી તેમજ પૂરવઠા વિભાગ પણ અમને આ કાર્યમાં ખુબ સહયોગ કરે. એમના સહયોગથી અત્યાર સુધી હજારો પરિવારોને અંત્યોદય કાર્ડ અમે અપાવી શક્યા છીએ. 

જરવલામાં રહેતા પરિવારોને અંત્યોદય કાર્ડ મળે તે કરેલી રજૂઆતને પગલે તેમને અંત્યોદય કાર્ડ મળ્યા. જાતિના પ્રમાણપત્ર આ પરિવારોને મળે તે માટે પણ નિમિત્ત બન્યા.

બસ હવે રહેવા પોતાની જગ્યા મળે તે માટે મથી રહ્યા છીએ. આદરણીય મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રીની લાગણી છે તો એ કાર્ય પણ ઝટ પતશે એમ લાગે છે. 

સુરેન્દ્રનગર કલેક્ટર શ્રી ડો. રાજેન્દ્રકુમાર પણ ઘણા ભલા અધિકારી. એમને પણ મળવાનું થયું. એમણે વિચરતી જાતિના સુરેન્દ્રનગર જિલ્લામાં રહેતા ઘરવિહોણા પરિવારોને મદદ કરવાની ખાતરી આપી છે. એમની આ લાગણી માટે પણ આભારી..

રેશનકાર્ડ મળ્યાનો હરખ કેવો એ અંગે ગેલાભાઈ કહે, “હાચુ કહીએ તો સરકારી કચેરીમાં કાગળિયા કરવાની અમારી આવડત નહીં. પણ કાર્ડ મળ્યા પછી અમને 35 કિ.ગ્રામ અનાજ, ખાંડ અને ક્યારેક દાળ પણ મળે છે. અમને એનાથી મોટો ટેકો..”

ગેલાભાઈ જેવા પરિવારોને ટેકો આપવાનું કાર્ય મજબૂત ટીમ વગર અશક્ય. આદરણીય પ્રતુલભાઈ શ્રોફ - ડો. કે.આર.શ્રોફ ફાઉન્ડેશન આ કાર્યમાં મોટો ટેકો કરે એટલે આ બધુ થાય. પ્રતુલભાઈના અમે ઘણા આભારી.

Since a very long time,  I have written about the probabilities of  accomplishing seemingly unachievable tasks  when the officer in charge is empathetic and willing to take proactive steps.

One such officer is the District Collector of Kheda Shri Bachani.

Whenever I am traveling across Kheda, when a situation requiring government intervention comes to our knowledge, I immediately bring it to the notice of Shri Bachani Saheb, and the issue gets resolved at the earliest!

VSSM shared details of the nomadic families living in Kheda who do not have a ration card, electricity connection to their homes, or a residential plot. Shri Bachani Saheb called a meeting of concerned officials and asked them to act at the earliest and finish these pending tasks.

The District Development Officer Shri Mehul Dave also shares similar sensibilities;  as a result they quickly resolve the issues.

At last, the dust accumulated over the long pending files has finally shaken off due to Bachani Saheb and Dave Saheb’s enthusiasm. While some families have received plots, many now have an electric connection at their hutments.

VSSM also came into contact with destitute elderlies who did not have Antyoday cards, nor did they receive the pension for the elderly. After we drew authorities’ attention to the plight of many such elderly,  Pasi Maa and Ramankaka immediately received a ration card that could help them access rations from the PDS store. We provide them a monthly ration kit, but grains from the ration shop provide a buffer.

Pasi Maa stays in Dabhaan; she does not have a pucca home but aspires to reside in a house of her own before she bids this world a final goodbye. Therefore, we have decided to build her home and requested Bachani Saheb to allot her a plot at the earliest.

7 devipujak families of Matar have been allotted plots, and their homes have received electricity connections. The children are happy at the sight of their homes being lit.

The authorities of Kheda district are geared up to follow instructions given to them. The phrase that the family is a reflection of the head of the family character is accurate in the case of Kheda district.

Thank you, Bachanni Saheb, Dave Saheb, and the entire administration of Kheda. We hope the district administration teams from other districts too seek inspiration from you.

એક અધિકારી ઈચ્છે તો શું કરી શકે એ બાબતે અહીંયા ખુબ લખ્યું છે... 

આજે એવા જ એક અધિકારી એટલે ખેડા જિલ્લાના કલકેટર શ્રી બાચાણી સાહેબની વાત કરવાની છું.

એમના જિલ્લામાં પ્રવાસ કરતી હોવું ને કોઈ એવી બાબત ધ્યાને આવે કે જેમાં સરકાર કશુંક કરી શકે તે બાબતે બાચાણી સાહેબનું ધ્યાન દોરીએ કે એ કામ ફટાફટ થઈ જાય.

ખેડામાં રહેતી વિચરતી જાતિઓ કે જેમની પાસે હજુ વિજળીની સુવિધા નથી જેમને રહેવા પ્લોટ ફળવાયા નથી. જેમની પાસે રેશનકાર્ડ જેવી પ્રાથમીક સુવિધા નથી. આ બધાની વિગત અમે સાહેબને આપી ને એમણે પોતાની અધ્યક્ષા હેઠળ તમામ લાગતા વળગતા અધિકારીઓ સાથે બેઠક કરી સૌને આ કાર્ય સત્વરે પૂર્ણ કરવા સૂચના આપી. 

એમને સાથ આપ્યો ડીડીઓ શ્રી મહુલ દવે સાહેબે.. એ પણ અમારા કામોમાં ખુબ લાગણી રાખે..

ઘણા પરિવારોની અરજીઓ જે વર્ષોથી પડતર હતી તે અરજીઓ પરની ધૂળ બાચાણી અને દવે સાહેબની લાગણીથી ખંખરાઈ. કટેલાકને પ્લોટ ફળવાઈ ગયા તો ઘણાના ઘરે વિજળી પણ આવી. 

અમારા ધ્યાને એવા માવતરો આવ્યા કે જેઓ નિરાધાર હતા. જેમની પાસે અંત્યોદય કાર્ડ નહીં. ના વૃદ્ધ પેન્શન એમને મળે.આ અંગે રજૂઆત કરાતા પસીમા અને રમણકાકાને તો તુરત પેન્શન ને અનાજ મળે એવું કાર્ડ પણ મળી ગયું. અમે આ માવતરોને દર મહિને રાશનકીટ આપીયે પણ  પેન્શન ને અનાજની મદદ મળે તો આ માવતરોને ટેકો રહે..

.ખેર પસીમા જેઓ ડભાણમાં રહે. એમની પાસે ઘર નથી એમને પણ સત્વરે પ્લોટ આપવા સાહેબને વિનતી કરી છે. મૂળ અમારે એમને ઘર બાંધી આપવું છે. એમની ઈચ્છા મરતા પહેલાં પોતાના ઘરમાં રહેવાની ને એ પૂરી કરવાનું અમે નક્કી કર્યું છે.

માતરના આંતરોલીમાં 7 દેવીપૂજક પરિવારોને પ્લોટ ફળવાયા સાથે પહેલીવાર એમના ઘરમાં અજવાળુ થયું. કેટલાય બાળકો ઘરમાં વિજળી મળતા રાજી રાજી થયા.

ટૂંકમાં કલેક્ટર શ્રીની લાગણીના લીધે આખુ તંત્ર સરસ મદદ કરી રહ્યું છે.. ખરેખર ઘરનો વડો જેવો હોય તેવું આખુ ઘર હોય એવું ખેડાના વહીવટીતંત્રને જોઈને લાગે છે.

આભાર બાચણી સાહેબ, દવે સાહેબ.. ને સમગ્ર ખેડા જિલ્લાની ટીમ.. તમારી પાસેથી અન્ય જિલ્લાનું વહીવટીતંત્ર શીખે એમ ઈચ્છીએ...

Nomadic families with their Antyoday Ration Card

Antyoday, which means uplifting the weakest sections of society. John Ruskin’s ‘Unto this Last’ was paraphrased by Gandhiji as ‘Sarvodaya’ meaning rising of all, both of which talk about reaching to the farthest sections of the society. It is an act that needs some definitive support, care and nurturing from the Government.

The communities VSSM works with the feature as poorest of the poor even on the government’s list. Often we try to rope in government support whereever and whenever there is an opportunity.

 A major credit of the accomplished works where ever there was government intervention goes to the proactive officials and authorities. Under the leadership of such officers, the works get done swiftly, without encountering much challenges.

 It would be apt to mention that our Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani and the Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Ishwarbhai Parmar, many a times are the wind under the wings of these officials. They monitor and follow-up the pending issues, enabling the administrators to accomplish these tasks with ease.

 VSSM in all the districts it works continuously advocates for the need to issue Antyoday ration cards to the nomadic families who find it hard to earn two meals a day. Banaskantha’s Public Supplies department and it’s official Shri Chavda Saheb and Abhishekbhai are extremely compassionate officials. And it is here that we see prompt action on the applications.

As VSSM’s Naranbhai recalls, ‘It does come as a surprise but I would receive a call from Abhishekbhai (whom everyone addresses as Gohil Saheb) requesting us to draw their attention on any pending applications for issuance of Antyoday or any ration card.” There never is a need to draw their attention yet they never forget their responsibilities. As soon as an application reaches them the team under the guidance of District Collector promptly process it and issue a card within no time. Such swiftness does cheer us up. And it is not just the seniors but even the local administrators work with great care. 

 Recently Mamlatdar of Vav block Shri K. K. Thakor, Additional Mamlatdar Shri Ishwarsinh Barad and Suigaum’s Additional Mamlatdar Shri Pravindan Gadhvi insisted on visiting the nomadic settlements and personally hand over the ration cards to the Antyoday families. The officials handed over ration cards to 113 families of Suigaum, Bepan, Uchosan, Garambdi, Limbodi, Vav, Bukna, Madka, Dhima., Achuaa, Tithgaum etc.

During my innumerable dialogues with the government officials, I often tell them, “It is in your capacity to utilize the powers enshrined upon you, it is up to you to make the best use of it. It is when you step out of the comforts and confines of the office and engage with the people you work for will help you better understand their struggles and challenges. The ‘Saheb’ practice is British gift to us whereas our Kings and courtiers always roamed amidst their subjects and learn about their troubles and complaints first-hand. The reforms were designed basis of these understanding. Kings of the states of Gondal, Vadodara, Bhavnagar worked marvellously for the upliftment and progress of their subjects.

 A person might be rich, may have an outreach to lakhs of people, but he/she does not have the power to issue a Ration Card. That power is enshrined upon the officials. And it is upto the authorities and officials to see how they use the power that lies in their hands.  

Our team members Bhagwanbhai and Naranbhai, undergo great efforts to identify the correct families in need of support and bring them to the respective government offices.

પણ અધિકારી જ્યાં સારા હોય ત્યાં કશુંયે કહ્યા વગર કામો પોત મેળે કોઈ જ દલીલબાજી વગર થાય.. આવા તમામ અધિકારીગણને પ્રણામ...

મૂળ તો આપણા મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રી તેમજ સામાજિક ન્યાય અને અધિકારીતા મંત્રી શ્રી ઈશ્વરભાઈ પરમારનું પીઠબળ પણ અધિકારીગણને. વળી પોતે ફોલોઅપ પણ લે.. આમ પ્રજાના સેવક જાગતા તો બધુયે જાગતું...

બનાસકાંઠાનો પૂરવઠા વિભાગ અને વિભાગના અધિકારી ચાવડાસાહેબ, અભીષેકભાઈ ખૂબ સંવેદનશીલ..

જેમને ને બે ટંકાના રોટલાને ક્યારેક ક્યારેક છેટુ થઈ જાય એવા પરિવારોને અંત્યોદય રાશનકાર્ડ આપવાની અમે દરેક જિલ્લામાં રજૂઆત કરીએ. પણ રજૂઆત પર ત્વરીત કાર્યવાહી બનાસકાંઠામાં દેખાય.. 

અભીષેકભાઈ જેમને સૌ ગોહીલભાઈ કહે એ તો ફોન કરીને અમારા કાર્યકર નારણને કહે, અમારા જિલ્લામાં રેશનકાર્ડ માટેની કોઈ અરજી પડતર રહી ગઈ હોય તો ધ્યાન દોરજો.. આમ તો ધ્યાન દોરવું જ ન પડે. જેવી અરજી જાય કે પૂરવઠા અધિકારી અને કલેક્ટર શ્રીની નિશ્રામાં તુરત એ અરજી પર કામ થાય ને લોકોને કાર્ડ મળી જાય.. 

કામ કરવાની આવી જીજ્ઞાષા રાજી થવાય. વળી આ જીજ્ઞાષા ખાલી ઉપલા સ્તરે નહીં. નીચેના સ્તરે પણ અધિકારીઓમાં જોવા મળે..

એટલે જ વાવ મામલતદાર શ્રી કે કે ઠાકોર તેમજ નાયબ મામલતદાર શ્રી ઈશ્વર સિંહ બરાડ અને સૂઈગામ નાયબ મામલતદાર શ્રી પ્રવિણદાન ગઢવી સામે ચાલીને અમારે આ અંત્યોદય પરિવારોની વચમાં આવવું છે એમ કહીને વિચરતી જાતિઓની વસાહતોમાં આવ્યા ને સૂઈગામ, બેણપ, ઉચોસણ,ગરાંબડી, લીંબોળી, વાવ, બુકણા, માડકા, ઢિમા, આછુઆ, તીથગામ વગેરે ગામોમાં રહેતા 113 પરિવારોને અંત્યોદય રાશનકાર્ડ પોતાના હસ્તે આપ્યા..

હું અધિકારીઓને કહેતી હોવું છું.. તમને મળેલી સત્તાનો સદઉપયોગ કરવાનું તમારા પોતાના હાથમાં છે.. ઓફીસમાંથી બહાર નીકળીને સામાન્ય પ્રજા પાસે જઈશું તો તેમની સ્થિતિ સારી રીતે સમજી શકીશું. સાહેબ વાળી પ્રથા તો અંગ્રેજોએ દીધેલી. બાકી આપણે ત્યાં તો રાજા અને તેના કર્મચારીઓ પ્રજાની વચમાં ફરતા રહેતા, એમના હાલચાલ જાણતા ને પરિસ્થિતિ સમજી મદદ કરતા. ગોંડલ, વડોદરા, ભાવનગર સ્ટેટને આવા રાજાઓ મળ્યા ને એટલે એ પ્રદેશે પ્રગતિ પણ કરી. 

કોઈ પણ વ્યક્તિ પાસે લાખો રૃપિયા હોય, એની પહોંચ લાખો લોકો સુધી હોય પણ એ વ્યક્તિના હાથમાં રેશનકાર્ડ કાઢી આપવાની સત્તા નથી. એ સત્તા અધિકારીના હાથમાં છે. બસ એ સત્તાનો ઉપયોગ કેમ કરવો એ અધિકારીએ જોવાનું છે..

અમારા કાર્યકર ભગવાનભાઈ અને નારણભાઈ ગામોમાંથી આ પરિવારોને શોધી તેમને કચેરી સુધી પહોંચાડવા જબરી મહેમત ઉઠાવે.. 

આવા સતકાર્યોમાં મદદરૃપ થનાર સૌ પ્રિયજનોને મારા હૃદયના પ્રણામ...

“I may not be a golden lamp, but it would be enough for me if I can lit up a house of a poor like a lamp of clay…”

Since my childhood I have been extremely fond of this poem. I am unaware of its origins,  but the message never fails to evoke a thought, “What if each individual lived like this lamp of clay. The world would be such a magical place to live…”

The current living condition of Madari families

The District Collector of Surendranagar, Shri K. Rajesh lives these lines. He has committed himself and his team to resolve the issues of the nomadic communities of  Surendranagar.  Recently, he personally  visited the Madari settlement of Thangadh, understood their living conditions and announced that they shall receive Antyoday ration cards and residential plots. And like a concerned member of the family he also  expressed his resentment towards all who have been addicted to tobacco etc.

Compassion and sensitivity aren’t the qualities one can borrow. They lie  deep within us. We are glad that officers like Shri K. Rajesh have never allowed their sensitivity to be overtaken by power and position, that they have never walked away from their line of duty, they have always performed their duties with great humility and integrity.

It is often said that the king gets to know about the status of his subjects only when he sees it for himself, he lives within them in disguise. This was true for Shri Rajesh too, who on witnessing the living conditions of the madari families instructed his officers to issue Antyoday ration card to all these families.

We are delighted to have Shri Rajesh as the head of Surendranagar. The files that have piled on for ages are sure to be dusted off.

Our gratitude and appreciation for the officer Shir K. Rajesh. We wish other officers draw inspiration from individual like Shri Rakesh.

May we be instrumental in changing the lives of thousands of poor.

આ પંકિત્ નાનપણથી ખુબ ગમે.. કોણે લખી છે એ ખ્યાલ નહીં પણ આ પંક્તિમાં લખ્યા પ્રમાણેનું જીવન સૌ જીવે તો દુનિયા કેવી રૃડી થઈ જાય એવું સતત થયા કરે....

સુરેન્દ્રનગર કલેક્ટર શ્રી કે. રાજેશ પણ આ પંક્તિને ચરીતાર્થ કરતું કાર્ય કરી રહ્યા છે.. સુરેન્દ્રનગરમાં રહેતી વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિના તમામ પ્રશ્નોના ઉકેલ માટે તેઓ કટીબદ્ધ છે.

થાનગઢમાં આવેલી મદારી વસાહતમાં તેઓ પોતે પહોંચ્યા અને સૌની સ્થિતિ જોઈને રહેણાંક અર્થે પ્લોટ તેમજ સૌને અંત્યોદય કાર્ડ આપવાની જાહેરાત કરી. 

સાથે વ્યસન કરનાર લોકોને મીઠી ટકોર પણ કરી.

સંવેદનશીલતા કોઈ પાસેથી ઉધાર નથી લઈ શકાતી. માણસમાં એ પડી જ છે. પણ ક્યાંક એના ઉપર ધૂળ ચડી ગઈ હોય છે.. પણ કે. રાજેશન જેવા અધિકારીઓએ ક્યારેય તેમની સંવેદનશીલતા પર ઘૂળ ચડવા નથી દીધી જેનો રાજીપો છે...

અમે તો મદારી પરિવારોને રહેવા પ્લોટ આપવાની જ વાત કરેલી પણ કલેક્ટર શ્રીએ આ પરિવારોની હાલત જોઈને તમામને અંત્યોદય રેશનકાર્ડ આપવા માટે પણ પૂરવઠા અધિકારીને સૂચના આપી..

Mittal Patel meets meer families of deesa

‘We are Meer Fakir…’ the 60 families living in Deesa have been saying this for past 60 years. Meer Fakir follow both faiths, Islam and Hindu. They pray to Allah and cannot imagine their existence  without worshiping the Goddess. It seems they have absorbed and imbibed  the true spirit of Indian  culture. Yet, we have resisted accepting and including them all these years.

It is become immensely difficult for us to obtain their proofs of residence. VSSM’s Mahesh has been able to get their Voter ID cards, Adhar cards but the applications for ration cards refuse to move forward.

The administration of Banaskantha has always been supportive but they too need a little nudge from time to time. We brought this matter to the notice of Shri. Ishwarbhai Parmar, Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment. His PA took Shri. Vijaybhai took personal interest and instructed the Mamlatdar to issue ration cards to these families. However, when the families received the cards they were APL category 2 cards, which are practically useless for these extremely poor families.

“Ben, these cards do not bring us even a single speck of grain! What do we do with them?”

Category 2 cards are those ration cards that economically well off families like us receive. How do these families who live in tethered shanties get issued such cards baffles us!! The families earn their living as manual labour while those incapable of putting in hard work retort to begging as a means of earning. It is for such individuals and families that the Antyodaya ration card assures that there is atleast some food on the plate.

The reason for sharing my thoughts here is because a lot of officials and administrators read our facebook posts, it’s an humble request to all of them to look within,  empathise with these families and do the needful. Only that will do justice to these families.

And to our friends in Deesa, please cooperate and work together to provide residential plots to these Meer families. Aren’t the one of us?

અમે #મીર ફકીર એવું જુના ડીસામાં 40 વર્ષથી રહેતા 60 પરિવારો કહે.

હીંદુ અને મુસ્લીમ બેય ધર્મ આ પરિવારો પાળે. 

તેઓ કહે અમે અલ્લાહની બંદગી કરીએ પણ માતાજી વિના અમને ના ચાલે. 

ભારતીય સંસ્કૃતિની સાચી ધરોહર સમા આ સમાજને અપનાવવાનું શાને નથી થતું તે સમજાતું નથી.

આ પરિવારોનો રહેઠાણનો પુરાવો મેળવવો અમારે માટે મહામૂસીબત સમુ બની ગયું છે.

મતદારકાર્ડ, આધારકાર્ડ તો VSSMના કાર્યકર મહેશે કઢાવી આપ્યા. પણ રેશનકાર્ડનું કામ કચેરીમાં આગળ વધે નહીં.

આમ તો બનાસકાંઠાનું વહીવટીતંત્ર સહયોગ ઘણો કરે પણ એને ક્યાંક ઘક્કા મારવા પડે.

રેશનકાર્ડ ના નીકળતા હોવાની વાત સામાજિક ન્યાય અને અધિકારીતા વિભાગના મંત્રી શ્રી ઈશ્વરભાઈ પરમારને કરી અને તેમના પી.એ.શ્રી વિજયભાઈએ અંગત રસ લઈને મામલતદાર શ્રીને કાર્ડ કાઢવાની સૂચના આપી.

પણ કાર્ડ હાથમાં આવ્યા ત્યારે એપીએલ.2 કેટેગરીના કાર્ડ જોઈને આ પરિવારો નિરાશ થયા.

'બેન આમાં તો અનાજનો એક દાણોય મળતો નથી. આવા કાર્ડને હુ કરવાના?'

મને અને તમને મળે એવા કાર્ડ આ પરિવારોને મળ્યા. જબકી તેમની રહેણાકની સ્થિતિ જોતા તેમને અંત્યોદય કે બીપીએલ કાર્ડ મળવા જોઈએ.

મીર પરિવારો છૂટક મજૂરી તો કેટલાક મજૂરી ના કરી શકે તેવા ભીક્ષાવૃતિ પર નભે છે. ત્યારે રેશનકાર્ડ એમના માટે ધાન મેળવવાનો મોટો આધાર છે.

અહીંયા આ પોસ્ટ લખવા પાછળનો આશય ઘણા અધિકારી મિત્રો ફેસબુક પર લખાતી અમારી પાસે પોસ્ટ વાંચે છે આ બધા મિત્રોને માનવતા દાખવી ક્યાંક જાત તપાસ કરીને કામ કરવાનું કરવા વિનંતી કરુ છું. જો આમ થશે તો દરેક તે સાચો ન્યાય આપી શકાશે.

બાકી જુના ડીસાના પ્રિયજનોને આ મીર પરિવારોને રહેવા માટે જમીન ફાળવવાની બાબતમાં સહકાર આપવા વિનંતી..

આખરે આ પરિવારો પણ આપણામાંના જ એક છે...

Only the person who has to struggle for two meals, knows the value of Antyoday Ration Card. This ration card is like a magic wand. The moment you get it, you start getting 36 kgs of grains in your house per month. Every poor person who gets the ration card, their life becomes easier to live.

But in the process of ration card, the role of the officer is vital. The government officials of Banaskantha have affection for the nomads. That’s why the Mamlatdar and Supply Mamlatdar of Deesa decides to give 50 ration cards at a time and the printing operator Maheshabhai works till midnight to print them. I salute the affection of these officers, thank you. 

Pravinbhai Mali is an exemplary politician… Very generous and believes and works thinking that the individual is more important than the system. I salute the affection of Pravinbhai who stands firm in the work of every deprived person…

At the same time, VSSM worker Mahesh keeps putting efforts in the work of nomadic communities. We could provide ration card to 50 families. Thank you Dost for being with us…

50 families got happy by getting the ration card. Now they are saying, “Ben, now we will get the gas cylinder… The flats we are living, we tried cooking without using the stove, but the flat became black. Now we will get the gas cylinder no?” 

We said, yes you will get the gas cylinder, and everyone is happy…

અંત્યોદય રેશનકાર્ડનું મુલ્ય જેને બે ટંક ખાવાના ફાંફા હોય એને સમજાય. વળી આ રેશનકાર્ડ આમ તો પરીની જાદુઈ છડી જેવું. જેવું ઘરમાં આવે કે મહિને 36 કી.ગ્રા જેટલો અનાજનો જથ્થો મળવાનો જાદુ થઈ જાય. દરેક ગરીબ કે જેને જીવન ટકાવવાના ફાંફા છે તેમને આ કાર્ડ મળે તો જીવન જીવવું થોડુ સહેલું થઈ જાય.

પણ રેશનકાર્ડ આપવામાં અધિકારીની ભૂમિકા ઘણી મોટી છે. બનાસકાંઠામાં બેઠેલા અધિકારીઓની લાગણી આ સમુદાય માટે વિશેષ છે. એટલે જ એક સાથે 50 અંત્યોદય રેશનકાર્ડ આપવાનું ડીસા મામલતદાર શ્રી અને પુરવઠા મામલતદાર શ્રી નક્કી કરે ને કાર્ડ પ્રીન્ટ કરનાર ઓપરેટર મહેશભાઈ પણ જરાય થાક્યા વગર રાતના બાર વાગ્યા સુધી કામ કરે. અદભૂત અધિકારીઓ આપની લાગણીને સલામ, આભાર..

પ્રવિણભાઈ માળી માટે હંમેશાં કહીએ કે રાજકારણી આવા હોવા જોઈએ.. ખુબ દીલદાર ને ક્યાંક નિયમોથી ઉપર ઊઠીને સીસ્ટમ કરતા માણસ અગત્યનો એ સમજીને કામ કરે. દરેક વંચિતના કામમાં સાથે રહેનાર પ્રવિણભાઈની લાગણીને પ્રણામ..
