Election Manifestos of BJP

The ruling BJP released its election manifesto for Gujarat Assemble Elections and the demands put forward for the welfare and development of the nomadic and de-notified communities have found some space in the manifesto (as seen in the picture attached here). We were expecting it to include more of our demands however, are glad with whatever has been included. Atleast now the ruling parties are aware of the existence of these humans!!

We are thankful to all who have taken note of these communities without a proper address of their own! Whoever wins the elections remember to keep the promises you have made lest you forget, we will be there to remind you!!

ભાજપે પોતાનો ચૂંટણી ઢંઢેરો જેને તેઓએ સંકલ્પ પત્ર કહ્યું છે તે બહાર પાડ્યું. વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓના ઉત્કર્ષ માટે જે માંગણીઓ સમગ્ર વિ.વિ સમાજ કરી રહ્યો છે તેમાંથી આ સાથેના ફોટોમાં દેખાય તેટલાને ભાજપના સંકલ્પ પત્રમાં સ્થાન મળ્યું. આભાર....

આશા વધુ હતી પણ ખેર અત્યાર સુધી કોઈ પણ પક્ષના ઢંઢેરામાં અમારા મુદ્દાઓ ક્યાં આવતા હતા? અમે અદૃશ્ય ને સરનામાં વગરના માણસો હવે દેખાવા માંડ્યા એનો રાજીપો...

અમારી નોંધ લેનાર આપ સૌનો આભાર... જે પણ જીતે પણ જીત્યા પછી #ચૂંટણી_ઢંઢેરામાંને સંકલ્પ પત્રમાં લખ્યું છે એ કરવાનું યાદ રાખજો... અમે યાદેય અપાવીશું જ... પણ હવે કરજો...

14મી ઓક્ટોબર 2017માં પાલનપુરમાં મળીને ‘અમે પણ છીએ’ એવું અમે(વિચરતી-વિમુક્ત જાતિઓએ) કહેલું ને અમે દેખાઈ ગયા આનંદ... પણ 18 ડીસેમ્બર પછી પણ અમે રહેવાના છીએ... વિચરતી જાતિની ભાષામાં કહુ તો અમારી હામેય જોજો બાપલા...

કોંગ્રેસ અને ભાજપે ચૂંટણી ઢંઢેરા કે સંકલ્પ પત્રના રૃપમાં જે કરવાનું વચન આપ્યું છે તે આ સાથે ફરી મુકુ છુ... સમજવા ખાતર... ફરી કહું તો હું કોઈ પક્ષ સાથે સંકળાયેલી નથી ના કોઈની તરફદારી કરી રહી છું.....

‘We also Exist’

‘We Also Exist’ is the voice of the nomadic and the de-notified communities of Gujarat to make their presence noticed by the eminent citizens, law makers and political parties of the state. We decided to make this voice heard and took the demands and issues of the nomadic communities to the political parties for its inclusion in their manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections (as seen in the picture).

The election manifesto of congress is out and they have included each and every demand we had put forward (as seen in picture).

The nomadic communities are so visible yet ignored by one and all. This development has brought some joy in lives of nomads and people who have been striving for their rights.

We are awaiting the election manifesto of BJP hopefully, our demands do feature in it too….

We are glad that our appeals have been heard and are grateful to the warm support we have received from you all throughout our journey….

‘અમે પણ છીએ’

એ વાતથી વિચરતી અને વિમુક્ત જાતિઓના મુદ્દાઓને જાહેરજીવન સાથે સંકળાયેલા અને લોકોના હીતાર્થે કામ કરવાની ખેવના રાખનાર રાજકીય પક્ષો પાસે મુકવાનું નક્કી કર્યું ને ભાજપ અને કોંગ્રેસ સાથે અમારા મુદ્દાઓનો સમાવેશ ચુંટણી_ઢંઢેરામાં થાય તે માટે વાટાઘાટો કરી અને અમારી માંગણીઓ આપી. (જે ફોટોમાં જોઈ શકાય છે)

સૌને અમે(વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓ) દેખાઈએ છતાં સૌની નજરમાંથી અમે ઓઝલ આ વસવસો અમને કાયમનો પણ ચાલો આજે એક પક્ષને તો અમે દેખાયા. આનંદ...

ભાજપનું સંકલ્પ પત્ર(ચૂંટણી ઢંઢેરો) આવનાર છે. એ પણ અમારી અપેક્ષાઓને માન આપશે એવી આશા છે....

પણ આનંદ ‘અમે પણ છીએ’ ની નોંધ લેવાઈ એનો....
ને આ કાર્યમાં મદદ કરનાર સૌનો આભાર તેમની સતત હૂંફથી જ આ શક્ય બન્યું.

VSSM has been striving to get the immediate and pressing issues of the nomadic communities included in the election manifestos of both the leading political parties of Gujarat. In this regard, the leaders of nomadic community and VSSM recently met the BJP leaders. During the meeting, we have asserted that the party should include in its manifesto the demands that have been put forward by us. They have yet to let us know of their decision.

On 12th November we are meeting the Congress leaders at the Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, Ahmedabad. In this meeting, too we will be insisting  the need to include our demands in their party manifesto.

Many of our friends have expressed that, “these leaders just make promises, nothing concrete will happen even after the demands are included in the manifesto.” But, I believe these false promises should also show up in the manifesto, never has this happened in the past for the nomads!! If these promises are not fulfilled during the coming years the nomads can decide better in the next elections and there is no doubt that the nomads are smart enough to understand the difference and decide for themselves!!

Will keep you posted on the outcome of the meeting with the Congress leaders on 12th!!!

આગામી ચૂંટણીને ધ્યાને લઈને કોગ્રેસ સાથે બેઠક......

વિચરતી અને વિમુક્ત જાતિઓની માંગણીઓને લઈને ભાજપ સાથે બેઠક થઈ આપણે આપણી માંગણીઓ તેમની સામે મૂકીને. ચૂંટણી ઢંઢેરામાં આપણી વાતો મુકાય તેવું આપણે સ્પષ્ટપણે કહ્યું છે. તેમણે હજુ એ બાબતે કશું નક્કર કહ્યું નથી. જોઈએ શું થાય છે....

કોંગ્રેસ સાથેની બેઠક તા.12 નવેમ્બરના રોજ બપોરના 2:00વાગે રાજીવ ગાંધી, ભવન, અમદાવાદ ખાતે વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓના પ્રશ્નોને લઈને યોજાશે. કોંગ્રેસ પણ પોતાના ચૂંટણી_ઢંઢેરામાં આપણી વાત મુકે તેમ ઈચ્છીએ ને બેઠકમાં પણ એજ કહીશું.

ઘણા મિત્રોએ કહ્યું કે, નેતાઓ ખાલી વચનો જ આપશે. ઢંઢેરામાં લખ્યા પછીએ કશું જ કામ નહીં થાય. પણ મારા મતે એક વખત ઠાલા વચનોય એમના દ્વારા જાહેર થનાર ઢંઢેરામા આવે તો ખરાં. અત્યાર સુધી તો એવીયે વાતો ક્યાં આવી છે. ઢંઢેરામાં હશે ને કામ નહીં કરે તો ફેર ચૂંટણી ક્યાં નથી આવતી? તે વખતે આપણે જ સમજવાનું છે.. અને વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓ એટલી તો સમજદાર છે જ એમાં કોઈ મીનમેખ નથી..

તો મળીએ છીએ 12મી તારીખે બપોરે બે વાગે રાજીવગાંધી ભવન, અમદાવાદમાં...

The assembly elections in Gujarat are scheduled in December and VSSM has been striving to get the issues of nomadic and de-notified communities included in the election manifesto of both the leading political parties. The BJP invited VSSM to come and present the case on 6th November and it is with this regard that we, community leaders and VSSM, were at the residence of the Chief Minister of Gujarat. The meeting with the Chief Minister was followed by a meeting with Shri. Bhupendrasinh Yadav, MP and Party In-charge for Gujarat.  He patiently heard to what we had to say, what were the needs and

demands of each of these communities, asked for the approximate population of these communities. We will be sharing the rough figures with him in coming 3 days. VSSM has requested just one thing, to bring all the promises on manifesto and no oral commitments.  Once the promises are on paper the communities will decide for themselves whom should they vote for!!  They need to make an informed and the manifesto will help the communities understand what  their future leaders  will be doing for the larger good of such extremely poor communities.

મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રીના નિવાસ સ્થાને ગઈ કાલે વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓના આગેવાનો સાથે જવાનું થયું. વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓની માંગણીઓ આગામી ચૂંટણીને અનુલક્ષીને ચૂંટણી #ઢંઢેરામાં આવે તે માટે આપણે બંને પક્ષો સાથે વાત કરી રહ્યા છીએ. ગઈ કાલે #મુખ્યમંત્રીશ્રીને મળ્યા બાદ ચૂંટણી ઢંઢેરામાં આપણી માંગણીઓનો સમાવેશ થાય તે માટે ભાજપના #ગુજરાતના પ્રભારી અને સાંસદ ભુપેન્દ્રસીંહ યાદવને મળવાનું થયું તેમણે બહુ નિરાંતે આપણી વાત સાંભળી.

વિચરતી જાતિની વસતિની માહિતી તેમણે પુછી. અંદાજ કહ્યો ને જાડો આંકડો ત્રણેક દિવસમાં આપવા કહ્યું.

#વિચરતી જાતિઓ વતી આપણે એક જ વાત કહી કે, પક્ષના ચૂંટણી ઢંઢેરામાં તમે વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓ માટે શું કરવાનો છો તે જાહેર કરશો પછી જ આ સમુદાયના લોકો વિચારશે કે કોને મત આપવો. દરેક સમાજની જુદી માંગો વિષે તેમણે નિરાંતે સાંભળ્યું. મૌખિક કોઈ જ વચન નહીં જે પણ કહેવું હોય તે ચૂંટણી ઢંઢેરામાં જાહેર કરવા આપણે કહ્યું. જેથી આખો સમાજ તમે અમારા માટે શું કરશો તે જાણે...

તેમણે હજુ એક બેઠક કરવાની વાત કરી છે. જેનો સમય તેઓ આપશે.
