Gangaram Raval congregate at Palanpur MahaSamelan

Karamshibhai Raval’s son Gangram was born with severe birth defects. The severity of these defects is such that Gangaram cannot manage to finish any of his personal tasks on his own. Karamshibhai works as labourer to fend for the family. They tried really hard to see if Gangaram’s physical condition could improve for better but, the doctors had announced that Gangaram will not improve and he will need to be carried like a small child his entire life!!

Gangaram studied till 3rd standard at Khakhal #primary #school but, bringing him to and from school every-day was a challenge because the parents had to be on work also our society is a difficult place for such differently abled children to lead a normal life…. the inquisitiveness and pranks he was subjected to made Gangaram drop out of school.

Ironically, Gangaram had a sharp mind compared to his weak body and Karamshibhai always took pride in him. In the recent floods the wall of his mud house came down, he made numerous appeals to the government for some assistance but no help came his way. The determined soul that he is Gangaram asked his father to carry him all the way to Gandhinagar. The action made the authorities ashamed of themselves who sanctioned Rs. 7,000 as cash dole.

The family is very poor and makes cement blocks at a plant in Thara. Gangaram is of no help so he remains home and keeps playing with mobile phone. He often sends us proposals for financial assistance under the #Swavlamban #program. We plan to support him in starting his own small business and aid him in re-building his house.

“The #poor like us have no space in society, no one hears us neither is anyone interested in helping us out. This is the reason I have decided to participate in this convention and let everyone know ‘we also exist’” Since, his physical condition did not allow him visit everyone in person Gangaram, made a video asking people to participate in the convention and sent it on #whatsapp. He was amongst the first few to arrive early in the morning at the venue.

“Ben, we want to show the world, we also exist!!” said Rameshbhai #Vansfoda from Boratwala. And like Gangaram thousands congregated at Palanpur to be seen and noticed…”

કરમશીભાઈ #રાવળના ઘેર ગંગારામનો જન્મ થયો. જન્મથી જ શારીરિક રીતે #વિકલાંગ ગંગારામ પોતાનું એક પણ કામ જાતે ના કરી શકે. પિતા કરમશીભાઈ મજુરી કરે ને પરિવારનું પુરુ કરે. ગંગારામ ઠીક થાય તે માટે કોશીશેય ઘણી કરી પણ ડોકટરે કહી જ દીધેલું કે ગંગારામને આમ જ નાના છોકરાંની જેમ તેડીને જ આખી જીંદગી કાઢવાની છે ને કમરમશીભાઈએ આ વાત સ્વીકારી લીધી.

ધો.3 સુધી ગંગારામ ખાખલગામની નિશાળમાં ભણ્યો. પણ પછી લેવા મુકવા જવાનું રોજ કોણ કરે ને આપણી સમાજ વ્યવસ્થામાં આવા બાળકો હંમેશાં હાસ્ય કે કુતુહલનું પાત્ર બની રહે છે ગંગારામને અન્યોની નજર કોરી ખાતી એટલે એણે #નિશાળ જવાનું પડતુ મુક્યું.

શારિરીક અનેક ક્ષતીઓ સાથે જીવતા ગંગારામમાં હોંશિયારી ઘણી ને કરમશીભાઈને એનું ઘણું ગુમાન. 2017માં પુર આવ્યું ને ગંગારામના માટીથી ચણેલા ઘરનો અમુક ભાગ પડી ગયો. સરકાર દ્વારા કેસડોલ કે અન્ય મદદ ઘણી રજૂઆત છતાં ના મળી. કંટાળેલો ગંગારામ બાપાના હાથમાં બેસી ઠેઠ ગાંધીનગર સચિવાલયમાં પહોંચી ગયો. અધિકારીઓને શરમ આવી ને ગંગારામને સાત હજાર #કેસડોલ પેટે ચુકવ્યા.

પણ પરિવારની ગરીબાઈ ઘણી. થરામાં સીમેન્ટ બ્લોક પાડવાનું કામ આ પરિવાર કરે. ગંગારામથી કશી મદદ ના થાય એટલે ખાટલે બેસીને બસ બધુ જોયા કરે. #મોબાઈલ ઓપરેટ કરતા આવડે એટલે અમને ગરબડિયા અક્ષરોમાં ધંધા માટે લોન આપવાને અન્ય મદદ માટે લખ્યા કરે.

અમે લોન આપીશું ને ઘરને રીપેર કરવા મદદ પણ કરીશું. પણ ગંગારામનું કહેવું છે કે, ‘આપણા જેવા ગરીબોનું કોય હોભળતું નહીં, ન કોય ન આપણામોં રસ નહીં.’ એટલે ‘અમે પણ છીએ’ કહેવા માટે કરેલા સંમેલનમાં તે હોંશભેર આવ્યો. પોતાના સમાજને સંમેલનમાં આવવા જાતે જઈને સમજાવી શકે તેવી તેની હાલત નહોતી એટલે #વોટ્સઅપમાં ‘હુ પણ સંમેલનમાં જવાનો છુ તમે આવશો ને?’ એવા વિડિયો કરીને બધાને એણે મોકલ્યા. 14મી #ઓક્ટોબરે વહેલાસર આવીને એણે પોતાની જગ્યા રોકી લીધી..

‘બધોન દેખઈએ એવું જ કરવું સ બુની’ બોરતવાળાના રમેશભાઈ વાંસફોડાએ આ કહ્યું ને ગંગારામ જેવા અનેક સ્વજનો બધાને દેખાવવા પાલનપુરમાં ઉમટી પડ્યા.

The parties cannot talk all of it within the four walls, they need to be heard hence, they organize rallies and gatherings. The party workers commit to #LPG connections, sponsoring #petrol expenses to the rally, organize an d sponsor transport to and from the rally etc. yet these gatherings hardly have any substantial presence. They also arrange chairs to give onlookers an #idea that the meeting was well attended (quite a revelation for me). If the images of scantily attended gatherings

are circulated on #social #media the political parties become restless and resort to roping in their star performers in these rallies. But, your convention was totally different from what we usually witness. Everyone has joined in spending their own money to reach the venue and they have been here without food for the entire day. This to us is the real story…” this was the impression shared by one of our journalist friends after he saw the vast presence of people #nomadic and #de-notified communities.

We never participate in any political rallies thus, we do not know how it works in such gatherings. But, the nomadic and de-notified communities decided to remain present in huge-huge numbers. “If no one hears us now we are prepared to go all the way to #Gandhinagar.”

‘Yes, we also exist, we also exist…’, they repeated until their throats went sore!!

Am happy for all those who joined… a strong alliance will definitely succeed in making us heard…

‘હા અમે પણ છીએ...’

એક #પત્રકાર મિત્રએ જનમેદની જોઈને રમૂજમાં કહ્યું, હાજરી વધુ દેખાય એટલે ખુરશીની વ્યવસ્થા. (આ પહેલીવાર જાણ્યુ.) ટૂંકમાં માણસો ભેગા કરવામાં પક્ષો ઊણા ઊતર્યા ને ખાલી સભા મંડપના ફોટો સોસીયલ મીડિયામાં વાઈરલ થાય ને પક્ષોને માનસીક તણાવ થાય. મોટા ધૂરંધરોને ચૂંટણી પ્રચારમાં ઊતારવા છતાંય જનમેદની પોતમેળે ભેગી ના થાય. પણ તમારા સંમેલનમાં સ્વખર્ચે લોકો આવ્યા ને આખો દિવસ ભૂખ્યા બેસી રહ્યા. અમારા માટે તો આ પણ સ્ટોરી છે...’

અમે રાજકીયપક્ષોની સભામાં જતા નથી. પત્રકાર મિત્રની આ બધી બાબતો અંગે કશું કહેવાનું પણ નથી. પણ હા વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓ અધધ કહી શકાય એટલી સંખ્યામાં પાલનપુરમાં આવી. ને ‘હજુ અમારુ કોઈ નઈ હોભળે તો ઠેઠ ગાંધીનગર ને દિલ્હી જવાની’ તૈયારી દાખવી.

ગળુ બેસી જાય ત્યાં સુધી સૌએ બોલ્યા કર્યું, ‘હા અમે પણ છીએ...’

This election, let the nomads decide what they want from the political parties

The assembly #elections have been declared in #Gujarat and as always it is with each election, loads of promises are made by political party to pull the electorate towards them but, as we all know most of which are never delivered.

Only if you/politicians bring our demands on your election #manifesto will we think about voting for your party #candidate.

We have come to understand that we would be able to question you only if our demands are on the manifesto. If you choose to ignore us even this time we promise to show our might in the next election.

Appointment Letter to meet the

We are seeking appointments to meet the State Presidents of #BJP and #Congress. Once we are given an appointment we will be meeting both these leaders with all the community leaders of #nomadic and de-notified communities from across Gujarat.

We will also go and handover our demands to the regional heads of these political parties. If the political parties are preparing themselves to come to power, how can people be left behind!!

Vali Ma #Bajaniya, lives by the roadside near Viramgaum’s Handalpur cross-roads. Her abode is open to sky and her few belongings strewn across where she sits and sleeps near the roadside. Vali Ma is a #widow and physically challenged but she, has never received any assistance from any of the government schemes. Recently the efforts of #VSSM’s Kanubhai helped her obtain a ration card. However, a residential plot for which we have been trying since years, seems a distant dream!

Vali Ma has been staying on wasteland near this crossroads for years but the villagers have had some issues and made her leave the place hence, she now lives next to the road. She came all the way to Palanpur from Viramgaam she walks with her hands and that is what she did. “Can anyone think of giving my hands some rest, I have spent my entire life like so but a house remains out of reach.”

The people of #nomadic and de-notified communities have always believed that the government is their #guardian angel and will work to provide them better life since that has not happened these communities are now getting restless are asking #government to look at them, know that they also exist. They are sure the government will pay attention to their plight and struggle to #survive. Like Vali Ma, they are prepared to endure challenges to put their message across. If the government does not pay attention now, we will walk all the way to #Gandhinagar even with these hands but, will make them notice, ‘we also exist’.

Look how with great difficulty, Vali Ma reached the venue of the ‘We also Exist’ convention.

વિરમગામમાં હાંસલપુર ચોકડી પાસે આભનું ઓઢવાનું ને ધરતીનું પાથરણુ પાથરીને વાલીમા બજાણિયા રહે. વિધવા ને વિકલાંગ વાલી માને ના જડી વિધવા કે વિકલાંગ સહાય. રેશનકાર્ડેએ હમણાં VSSMના કાર્યકર કનુભાઈની મદદથી મળ્યું. બાકી પ્લોટ માટે તો વર્ષોની દોડાદોડી પણ તેનો અંત ના આવ્યો.

ચોકડી પાસેની ખરાબાની જગ્યામાં વર્ષોથી રેતા પણ હમણાં હમણાં ગામના લોકોને કાંઈક વાંધો પડ્યો તે ત્યાંથી કાઢી મુક્યા. હાલ તો રોડની બાજુમાં બે ચાર ગાભા ને ગોદડાં લઈને રહે છે.

અમે પણ છીએ કહેવા એ ઠેઠ વિરમગામથી પગે નહીં પણ હાથે ચાલીને આવ્યા. વાલી માં કે છે એમ ‘ભઈ સાબ હવે મારા હાથને વિશ્રોમ આલો. ઘર આલો. આખી જીંદગી ઓમ જતી રહી પણ ઘર નસીબ ના થ્યું.’

સરકાર અમારી માઈ- બાપ એવું માનનાર તમામ વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિના લોકો હવે સરકાર પાસે જઈને ‘અમે પણ છીએ’ અમારી સામે જુઓની વાત કરવા માંડ્યા છે. વાલીમા જેવી લગન વિચરતી જાતિઓને થઈ છે. એટલે સરકાર અમારી હોમુ તાકશે જ ઈમો બે મત નહીં. ન ના તાક તો ઠેઠ ગોંધીનગર પગે ને પગ ના હોય 

તો હાથે હેડીન જઈશું પણ હવે તો અમાર કઈ જ દેવું સક અમે સીએ...

સંમેલનમાં કેવી મુશ્કેલી વેઠીને વાલી માં પહોંચ્યા એ જાતે જ જુઓ...

The members of nomadic and de-notified communities talked about their concerns and demands to representatives of  media. After listening to the list of the demands, even the media felt that  these demands are not such that they cannot be fulfilled. It requires will of the policymakers and administrators. If they could show that willingness 70% of our pending work would be accomplished in minutes… The demands these communities spoke about are listed below:

 

1. Allotment of plots to homeless and landless families.

2. Increase the amount provided for building house..

3. Include the names of families living in shanties in the BPL list.

4. Ease the process of obtaining caste certificate.

5. Issue Antyoday ration cards to families living in huts and shanties.   

6. Issue a profession defining identity cards.

7. Special provisions for nomadic and de-notified tribes under 27% OBC reservations.

8. Equal participation and representation of all nomadic and de-notified tribes in the Board for Nomadic and De-Notified tribes. An advisory group can also be appointed.

9. Appropriate rehabilitation of Vadee and Madaree

10. Reframe the almost obsolete official list of Nomadic and De-notified communities. Include Meerbarot and Fakir in it.

11. Solve this never-ending issue of police harassment of Dafer.

12. Formation of district committees headed by the district Collector to address the issues of nomadic and de-notified communities.. Bi-monthly follow up meeting, chaired by the Collector.

13. Increase the scope of   Boards for nomadic and de-notified communities. Its involvement and work has to go beyond loan sanctions. The Gujarat chapter can draw example for the corporation launched by Haryana Government.

14. Make special provisions to enable the illiterate individuals acquire driving license. Most of the nomadic individuals are illiterate and cannot pass the written test.

15. Budget allocations should be in tune with the population size of the community and the government needs to take proactive measures to ensure the budget is spent accordingly.

16. Make cooperative societies of families desiring to farm the government wastelands and allot them land to cultivate.

17. Protect the nomadic and de-notified families renting the land to farm against the crop failures resulting due to natural calamities.  

18. Create spaces for urban nomadic and de-notified families to carry out their business of selling vegetables and likes.

19. Priority to Oad and Vanzara communities for sand mining on river beds.

20. Approve the Devipujak and Rawal landless families farming on the riverbeds.

21. Allot Ma Amrutam cards that allows access to health facilities to nomadic and de-notified families.

22. To protect and encourage the traditional art forms of Bhavai and Acrobatics, make provisions to train the Bhavaiya, Turi, Barot and Nat. If required open an institute that works towards conservation and contemporizing of these traditional folkart forms.

We hope these demands reach the concerned political parties and  policy makers. The nomadic and de-notified communities are coming together on 14th October 2017 in Palanpur to voice out their demands…

અમદાવાદમાં આજે પત્રકાર મિત્રો સાથે વિચરતી જાતિના આગેવાનોએ પોતાની માંગણીઓની રજૂઆત કરી. જો કે માંગણીઓ સાંભળીને પત્રકાર મિત્રોને પણ થયું કે આ માંગણીઓ કાંઈ એવડીએ મોટી નથી કે તે પુરી ના થઈ શકે બસ ઈચ્છા શક્તિ હોય ને ગરીબો માટે કરુણતા તો 70 ટકા કામો તો ચપટીમાં થાય તેમ છે.

1. ઘર વિહોણા પરિવારોને #રહેણાંક અર્થે #પ્લોટ

2. #મકાન સહાયમાં વધારો

3. ઝૂંપડાંને કાચા ઘરમાં રહેનાર તમામના બી.પી.એલ.યાદીમાં નામ

4. સરળતાથી જાતિ પ્રમાણપત્ર

5. ઝૂંપડાં ને કાચા ઘરમાં રહેનારને બી.પી.એલ. કે #અંત્યોદય રેશનકાર્ડ

6. વ્યવસાયનું સરકારનું ઓળખપત્ર

7. 27 ટકા ઓબીસી #અનામતમાં જ વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓને જુદી ફાળવણી

8. વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિ માટે બનેલા #નિગમમાં દરેક જાતિઓને સમાન પ્રતિનિધિત્વ, એડવાઈઝરી ગ્રુપ પણ રચી શકાય.

9. #વાદી, #મદારીનું યોગ્ય પુનઃવસન

10. વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓની યાદીમાં સ્પષ્ટતા, સુધારણા. મીરબારોટ અને ફકીરનો નવી જાતિ તરીકે ઉમેરો

11. #ડફેર પરિવારોને પોલીસ દ્વારા થતી કનડગતનું નિવારણ

12. જિલ્લા સ્તરે વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિના પ્રશ્નોના નિવારણ માટે કલેક્ટરની અધ્યક્ષતામાં કમીટી. દર બે મહિને કમીટી સમક્ષ મુકાયેલા પ્રશ્નો અંગે #કલેક્ટરની અધ્યક્ષતામાં બેઠક

13. વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓ માટે નિમાયેલ નિગમમાં લોન સિવાયના પણ કામો. હરિયાણા સરકારે કરેલા કોરપોરેશનની જેમ ગુજરાતમાં નિગમ ચાલે 

14. ધો. 8 પાસના પ્રમાણપત્ર ને લેખીત પરિક્ષા વગર નિરીક્ષર વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિના લોકોને #ડ્રાઈવીંગ_લાયસન્સ

15. વસતિ પ્રમાણે બજેટની ફાળવણી ને તે ખર્ચાય તે માટે સરકારના સામેથી પ્રયત્નો

16. સરકારી ખરાબાને પડતર જમીન ખેતી કરવા ઈચ્છતા પરિવારોને મંડળી બનાવીને સામૂહીક ખેતી માટે ફાળવણી

17. ઉધેડ ખેતી રાખનાર વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિના પરિવારોને કુદરતી આપતીમાં ખેતીમાં નુકશાન થાય તો પાક વિમા યોજનાની મદદ

18. શહેરમાં રહેતા વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિના શાકભાજી કે અન્ય વ્યવસાય કરતા ફેરિયાઓને બેસવા માટે જગ્યા

19. નદીના પટમાં રેતીના ખનન માટે ઓડ અને વણઝારાને પ્રાથમિકતા

20. નદીના પટમાં ખેતી કરનાર દેવીપૂજક અને રાવળને પટમાં ખેતી માટે મંજુરી

21. #આરોગ્યલક્ષી સુવિધા મળે તે માટે વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિના પરિવારોને મા #અમૃત્તમ_કાર્ડની ફાળવણી

22. #ભવાઈ કરતા #ભવાયા, #તુરી બારોટ ને અંગકસરતના ખેલ કરતા નટને તેમની કલાને વધુ પ્રોત્સાહન મળે તે માટે વિશેષ જોગવાઈ, ભવાઈ શાળા થાય તો ઉત્તમ કલાકારો આપી શકાય.

વગેરે જેવી માંગણીઓ મિડીયા સમક્ષ લોકોએ મુકી... આશા રાખીએ રાજકીય પક્ષો સાંભળે ને એમની માંગણીઓ સંતોષાય.

તા.14 ઓક્ટોબર 2017ના રોજ પાલનપુરમાં આ માંગણીઓ માટે જ #વિચરતી અને #વિમુક્ત જાતિના લોકો એકત્રીત થઈ રહ્યા છે.

You must have seen us roaming with a frankincense scented dhoopdan and jhola on the shoulders.

Most of us have given up doing so and have settled down but there are many who still wander. What should we ask for? A house and or opportunity to rest our legs! 70 years of independence yet we do not have the luxury to rest our legs. We just got to know that we are not on the list of nomadic communities. We are not considered one inspite of the fact that it is how we have survived all these centuries. When will the edit this official list? They OBC list is getting some new inclusions can’t the list that concerns us also get a priority?

We demand the inclusion of our community in the list on nomadic and de-notified communities.  

VSSM is in completely supports this demand!

હાથમાં #લોબાનનો #ધૂપ ને ખભે ઝોળી લઈને ફરનારા.

અમારામાંના ઘણા આજે આવું નથી કરતા ઘણા સ્થાયી થયા પણ હજુએ ઘણા રઝળે છે. યાતનાભર્યું અમારુ જીવન. શું માંગીએ અમે.. રહેવા #ઘર ને પગમાં વિશ્રામ... પણ આઝાદીના આટલા વર્ષેય વિશ્રામ અમારા નસીબમાં નહીં. સરકારી ખરાબામાં પ્લોટની માંગણી કરી ત્યારે ખબર પડી કે અમે #વિચરતી જાતિની યાદીમાં નહીં...

ક્યારે થશે આ યાદીઓ ઠીક કરવાનું.. નવી જાતિઓ #ઓબીસીની યાદીમાં ઉમેરવાનું થોડો સમય મુલતવી રાખી જે છે એને પહેલાં ઠીક ના કરી શકાય?

We are believed to be ruthless honestly, a sight of police jeep in vicinity scares the hell out of us!

Police and Dafer enjoy a long-standing animosity. In the past Dafer were involved in looting and robbing people which was the reasons of frequent police visits but, we have left our unlawful activities yet, police does not allow to let us be!!  

Since last one year, we have requested a copy of the list containing the names of criminal Dafer. The community leaders decided to present all the accused Dafer men on the list before the police, whether those on the list is an offender or not.  The Dafer men are also willing to offer themselves to the police but the Police department and the Home department are absolutely not interested in accepting this request.

We presented Katiya (seen in the picture) to the police, the other police station got offended and harassed us because we did not bring him to them! Others also want to follow Katiya but, the police are not prepared to talk to us. We have made so many rounds to their offices, requesting for their time but, nothing seems to work!

We are fed up of all these everyday harassments and want to spare ourselves from it but, the police are not interested in sparing us!! Someone need to make the police understand?

We demand freedom from these frequent police harassment and also want residential plots allotted in the village. VSSM in complete support of this demand..

અમે ડફેર

કહેવાઈએ ખુંખાર પણ પોલીસની લબકારા લેતી લાઈટથી બી મરીએ...

પોલીસ ને અમારી હારે જનમ જનમના વેર જેવું... પેલા લૂંટ કરતા એટલે પોલીસ અમારા ત્યાં આંટાય ખુબ દેતી. પણ હવે તો બધુ મુક્યુ પણ પોલીસ અમને મુકતી નથી...

સરકાર પાસેથી #ગુનેગાર ડફેરોની યાદી માંગી. અમે નક્કી કરી લીધુ ગુના કર્યા હોય કે ના કર્યા હોય પણ પોલીસના ચોપડે જેમના નામ ચડ્યા હોય એ તમામ #ડફેરને હાજર કરવા. છેલ્લા વરસથી #ગુનામાં નામ હોય એવા ડફેરોની યાદી માંગી છે ને એ બધાને પોલીસ સામે હાજર થવું છે પણ જુઓને એમાં પોલીસ વિભાગ ને કે #ગૃહ_વિભાગને જરાય રસ નથી. 

(ફોટોમાં દેખાય એ એક કટિયાને હાજર કર્યો એમાં બીજા પોલીસવાળા લોઈ પી ગ્યા છતાંય બીજાનેય હાજર કરવા છે એ નક્કી પણ એ માટે સાથે બેસો તો ખરાં..ગાંધીનગર પોલીસ અને સરકાર પાસે સમય માંગવામાં જુત્તાય ઘસી ગયા પણ આ વાત માટે એમને સમય નથી)

અમારે તો પોલીસની ઝંઝટમાંથી છુટવું છે પણ ભઈ સાબ આ પોલીસ અમને છોડવા રાજી નથી...

કોઈ સમજાવો આમને... સામે ચાલીને હાજર થવા રાજી છીએને છતાં......

We are Bhavaiyaa, the performers of the yore…

“The stage is where I belong. When I am performing the role of a king, the stage shrugs with excitement and the audience is left spellbound.  There would be repeated requests of ‘once-more.’ I have servants at my back and call. As a king, I would bestow in lacs. However, once the curtains fell, I had taken off the costumes… the reality was completely the opposite.”

This is an excerpt from the poem by Baldevbhai Bhavaiyaa. It beautifully narrates the realities and turbulences  the once celebrated Bhavaiyaa, experience today.

We were engaged in a conversation with this community when we causally asked Khodabhai, a performer who usually played the role of a women in the Bhavai acts, “Why do you wear just half wig, it would look more attractive it your wig covered your entire scalp?” Khodabhai had a very honest and upfront answer, “In the earlier days, we were rewarded very well for our art. After seven days of performances we took back lots of donations! These days no one likes to watch Bhavai, we are old but, continue to practice our traditional profession because that is all we know. We do not have land or other riches to fall back on.  We are left with no choice but to continue doing this. We know no one likes to see a half bald women but, a wig that covers the entire head is too expensive and if we spend money of costumes and cosmetics we will be left with nothing feed our families and self!

Can’t there be special incentives and support to promote and revive our art and make it more contemporary so that it appeals the current generations. These are the challenges the Bhavaiyaa face…

અમે ભવાયા...

રાજા બનીને જ્યારે સ્ટેજ પર આવું

ત્યારે સ્ટેજને ગજવી દેતો, ને પ્રેક્ષકોનું મન મોહી લેતો

વારે વારે વન્સમોર લેતો, દાસદાસીઓ ખમ્મા ખમ્મા કરતા

ને હું લાખોનું દાન દઈ દેતો

પણ પાત્ર પત્યા પછી વેશ ઉતારી ઘર ભણી જોતો.........

બળદેવભાઈ ભવાયાએ લખેલી આ કવિતામાં ભવાયા સમાજની વ્યથા છે.

ભવાઈમાં સ્ત્રી પાત્ર ભજવનાર ખોડ ભાઈને એમ જ પુછી લીધુ કે, માથામાં હંમેશાં અડધી વીગ કેમ પહેરો? પુરી પહેરો તો વધારે રૃડા લાગો. અમે તો અમસ્તા જ આ કહ્યું પણ #ચુંવાળિયાકોળીના ભવાયા ખોડભાઈએ એનો જવાબ આપ્યો,

‘તમારી વાત સાચી પણ ભવાઈ જોવી હવે કોઈને ગમતી નથી. અમારીએ ઉંમર થઈ બીજુ કશું આવડતું નથી ને કોઈ જમીન જાગીર છે નહીં. એટલે આના પર નભ્યા વગર છુટકોય નથી. પહેલાં સાત દિવસ ભવાઈ કર્યા પછી લોકો ઘણું દેતા પણ હવે એમ થતું નથી. માંડ માંડ ઘર જોગું નીકળે એમાં #શૃંગાર માટે વધારે પૈસા ફાળવવાનું અમને પોષાય નહીં. ને એટલે અડધી વીગ. ખબર છે ટાલવાળી સ્ત્રી જોવી કોઈને ગમે નહીં પણ આમાં વધારે પૈસા ખર્ચુ તો ઘેર શું આપુ?’

અમારી કલાને પ્રોત્સાહન ના મળે? #ભવાઈને નવા સ્વરૃપે સમાજ સમક્ષ મુકવામાં અમને મદદ ના મળે?

“Recently, we bought these carrier rickshaws to help us earn better living. We load the rickshaw with brooms and travel around in the villages. These autos are time and energy efficient i, we now cover more distance in less time which helps increase our earning. The problem however is we do not have driving license. The police know that and take advantage of the issue. In fact, it is practically impossible for us to obtain driving license. We are illiterate and to get a license requires us to be educated until atleast 8th grade. So how can we acquire license when we do not have documents to support our application!!” this is the dilemma Karsankaka Devipujak and Rameshbhai Vansfoda.

We wrote to the authorities regarding the issue, ‘The minimum requirement to obtain a license to drive a heavy vehicle is 8th grade, we cannot issue license without that qualification.” Apart from this the applicants also need to appear for a test. The illiterate nomadic and de-notified communities find it difficult to meet such requirements. The processes of obtaining documents need to be made inclusive. This extremely marginalized communities who are trying hard to reinvent their livelihoods and bring themselves in the mainstream are still way to backward. They find it challenging to meet such pre-conditions. We have to re-look at the procedures and make them diversity friendly. The nomadic communities are demanding such changes to help them get driving license and we support their demand, do you?

‘મહેનત મજુરી કરવા હાટુ જ છકડો લીધો સે ને? છકડા માથે હાવેણી(#સાવરણી) લઈન વેચવા જઈએ તો ઝાઝુ ફરી હકાય ને ધંધો હારો થાય. પણ અમારી કને ડ્રાઈવીંગ લાયસન્સ નહીં ને એ નીકળે નહીં. પોલીસવાળા ખુબ હેરાન કરે. #લાયસન્સ માટે કોશીશ કરી તો કેસે 8 પાસનો દાખલો લાવો. પણ અમે તો અભણ ને અંગૂઠા છાપ. કોઈ નિશાળમાં ગ્યા જ નથી તે દાખલો કઈ નિશાળમાંથી જડે?’ કરશનકાકા દેવીપૂજક, રમેશભાઈ #વાંસફોડા ની આ મૂંઝવણ.

લાયસન્સમાં સરળતા માટે અમે લખ્યું. અમને જવાબ મળ્યો કે, ભારે વાહન ચલાવવા જ ધો.8 પાસનું પ્રમાણપત્ર જોઈએ બાકી નહીં. પણ આ વાત જિલ્લાની #વાહનવ્યવહારકચેરી માન્ય રાખતી નથી ને વળી એમાં પરિક્ષા ઉમેરી.. વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓ માટે આ બધુ અઘરુ...

વિકસી રહેલા આપણા આ દેશનો #વિચરતી અને #વિમુક્ત જાતિઓ પણ હિસ્સો છે જે હજુ સદીઓ પાછળ છે. તેમને પણ મુખ્યપ્રવાહમાં જોડવાના છે. #ડ્રાઈવીંગ લાયસન્સ સરળતાથી મળે એ અમારી માંગ.. ને એમની એ માંગને અમારો ટેકો...

Our poverty isn’t hidden and yet we can’t feature in BPL list!!

This is Amratbhai Raval’s Bunglow that you see here! His bungalow just has a TV and the documents of his identity that he treasures more than his life. “The BPL list has names of the rich and influential from this village, when we request for including  our name to  the list they reply it is not possible  because we have a TV and cycle parked in the front yard of  our shanty made with twigs and  jute bags. They can see the TV but cannot see our poverty!!  My father died dreaming of a house and I am half way through mine but,  the dream of having a house is hard to come by in this lifetime.

We are demanding for inclusion of all families living in shanties and do not have means of livelihood, in the village BPL list…..

Remember the image that is often associated with India, the country of snake charmers. Well, Vadee are the snake charmers of bygone era, with turban on the head and a cotton jholi hanging on the shoulder they charm us with their tricks. The Vadee today are required to beg as a means to earn living. They are ok with the Wildlife Protection Act and the resultant ban on capturing snakes, what hurts them is the fact that the policy makers overlooked the need to rehabilitate them. The Vadee has a strong presence in Gujarat, with an estimated population of more than 2 lacs.

’વાદી’

માથે પાઘડી, ખભે ઝોળી ને હાથમાં મોરલી. ઝોળીમાંથી અવનવા દાગીના કાઢે ને આપણને બતાવે. સાપના ખેલ કરનાર આ વાદી આજે ભીખારી બન્યા. સાપ લઈ લીધા ઈનો વાંધો નહીં પણ બીજો વિકલ્પેય ના આપ્યો?

‘અમે એકલ દોકલ નથી બે લાખ કરતાં વધુ ને એય ફક્ત ગુજરાતમાં લો બોલો?

સાપ લઈ લીધા તે અમારે ક્યાં બાપીકી જાગીર હતી? શું ખાવુંને ખવરાવું ઈનીએ અમે જેને માઈ બાપ માનતા ઈમને ચિંતા ના કરી!

અમે એકલ દોકલ નથી લો જોઈ લો. એક જ વસાહતના અમે આટલાં જો બધા ભેગા થાશું તો?

પણ હવે થાશું. કોઈના માટે નહીં અમારાં માટે ભેગા થાશું...

ને તમીલનાડુમાં વાદી જેવી ઈરુલા જાતિને સરકારે જેમ થાળે પાડી એમ અમનેય પાડોની અમારી માંગ કહીશું ...’

I am a Devipujak

I have spent my entire life working as manual labour or scavenging the trash for junk. The energy and zeal during my youth allowed me to wo
rk harder and dream bigger. But, the realities of the condition I live in haven’t changed much over the decades. Don’t I, look like sixty? Yet, I can’t access widow pension or pension for the elderly.  Why? Because, I don’t have enough proofs to prove my identity. Tell me, how do I obtain those proofs? Look at where I stay, this is government wasteland, for everyone else we have encroached upon government land so any day any one can ask us to move out. We have no choice but to keep roaming with our bundled belonging. This is how I have lived my entire life. Earlier I also had to care for my children and  had  be bundle them along!

These days, if I am feeling good I go out to beg for food, if I can’t walk that distance I just wait for some Samaritan to come and give me some food!! Or else spend the day just like that!!

Even the bigger and better dreams of the yore were never about a bungalow or luxury I just wanted a decent roof to protect myself and my children against the harshness of natural elements. Look at me my frail body now… unfortunately, there are no dreams now, not even frail ones!! I am eagerly waiting for the eventual and inevitable… want to

go away soon!!

હું દેવીપૂજક

#ભંગાર વીણવાનું ને જે મળે તે મજુરી આખી જિંદગી કરી. જુવાનીમાં કામેય ખુબ કર્યું ને સપનાંય મોટા જાય પણ ઘર ના થઈ શક્યું. દેખાવથી 60 થ્યાનું તો જણાય છે ને? તોય વૃદ્ધ પેન્શન કે વિધવા સહાય અમને ના જડે. પુરાવાની #રામાયણમાં જ તો!

જુઓન ઘર કેવું? ક્યાંથી બધુ ભેગું કરવું? #સરકારી ખરાબામાં, ના ના બધાની ભાષામાં અમે દબાણમાં રહીએ એટલે ગમે ત્યારે આવીને કાઢી મુકે તે આખી જીંદગી લબાચો ને ભેગા છોકરાં હાથે રખડતી રહી. 

હાલ તો તબીયત હારી હોય તો માંગવા જવું બાકી કોક ખવારી જાય તો ખાવું બાકી રામે રામ...

#બંગલાનું #સ્વપ્ન નહોતું પણ ટાઢ, તડકો ને #વરસાદ રોકાય એવું છાપરુ જ માંગ્યું તુ ને પણ એ ના મળ્યું.. હવે સપનાંય નથી આવતા ને દેહ પણ જુઓ મુઠ્ઠીમાં સમાય એવડો થઈ ગ્યો. હવે ઝટ અહીંથી છુટકારો થાય તો રામે રામ...

Bharthari

We have been singing lullabies for centuries, families host us to sing to their new born children. We bless each child with lullabies that talk about cradles made of gold  and strings studded with  diamonds but, our children aren’t fortunate  enough for even a wooden cradle, to them an old saree tied  to the ends of a cot or to tree trunks is the best cradle they can have.

Our hosts  give us old sarees and grains in return for the lullabies we sang to their children. The sarees tied around few frail branches become our home on some government wastelands.

Our livelihood requires us to lead itinerant life. We have been living like that for centuries and yet we are not recognized as nomadic community. The official list of the nomadic communities does not feature our name. All this time we never knew we were not on the list, it was only after when we went to get our caste certificates that the official made this shocking revelation that we were not on the list. Our forefathers have always wandered for work.   With this Ravanhatta in our hands, we have been wandering all our lives. Yet, we are not considered to be nomadic!!

We will be in Palanpur on October 14th to let the world know, ‘we exist’….

સોનાનું પારણીયું ને હીરાની સે દોરી..

મોમા ઈમના હોંશિલા તે હાલરડું ગવરાવે...

હાલુલુ હાલ બેબીબેન તમે હો વરના થાજો...

આવા #હાલરડાં અમે બધાયના છોકરાં માટે ગાઈએ. ને દરેક બાળક સોનાના પારણીએ ઝુલે એવો હરખ ને આશિર્વાદ અમે આલીએ પણ અમારે તો લાકડાંનુંય પારણીયું નસીબમાં નહીં. લાકડાંના બે દાંડા વચ્ચે સાડી બાંધીએ એજ અમારાં બાળકોનાં સોનાના પારણિયા.

આવા હાલરડાં ને #ભજનોના બદલામાં જુની સાડી ને દાણા અમને દાનમાં મળે.

દાનમાં મળેલી આજ જુની સાડીઓની આડાશો કરીને અમે સરકારી ખરાબામાં પડ્યા રહીએ.

ભજન અને હાલરડાં ગાવા ગામે ગામ ફરીએ તોય અમે વિચરતી જાતિની યાદીમાં નહીં. યાદીમાં નહીંની અત્યાર લગી તો ખબરેય નહોતી. આ તો જાતિ પ્રમાણપત્ર માંગવા ગ્યાને તમે વિચરતીમાં નથી એવું અધિકારીએ કહ્યું. ધ્રાસકો પડ્યો. અમારા બાપ દાદા ને અમે ખભે રાવણહથ્થા સાથે આખી જીંદગી રઝળ્યા તો અમે યાદીમાં કેમ નહીં?

વિચરતી જાતિની યાદીમાં અમારો સમાવેશ કરોની માંગ ભરથરી સમાજની ને અમારો એને ટેકો...

We are Saraniya, the knife sharpeners...

We are Saraniya, the knife sharpeners. The Saraan we use to sharpen the knives gives our community this name. Saraan is a machine we carry on our shoulders when work takes us from one village to another. The work we do involves skillful rubbing of our fingers with the sharpening wheel.  As a result, our fingerprints get erased. Even the biometric machines could not capture them when we applied for Aadhar UID.

The demand for our skill is gradually decreasing as not many use these traditional blades. Hence, we have started selling knives. But the police harass us on the pretext that we keep weapons. Sometimes they even take us to police station.  Have you heard of any Saraniyaa hurting someone with the knives they sharpen? There would not be a single case of something like this in entire country yet, the police never listen to this argument.

We would want the government to issue an identity card that mentions us as knives sellers.  We also want a ration card that enables us to obtain grains and our names included in BPL list. This is our demand to our government. The government is like a parent to us. It is natural we have certain expectations from our parents!!

સરાણ પર છરી ચપ્પુની ધાર કાઢનાર અમે #સરાણિયા. #સરાણ ખભે લઈને ગામે ગામ રઝળીએ.

ચપ્પુની ધાર કાઢતા કાઢતા હવે ચપ્પા વેચવાના ચાલુ કર્યા. પણ #પોલીસ #હથિયાર રાખો છો એમ કહીને હેરાન કરે છે. ક્યારેક તો પકડીને લઈ જાય છે. અમે કહીએ સરાણ ને ચપ્પા સાથે સરાણિયાનો સદીઓનો નાતો. આ ચપ્પાથી ક્યારેય કોઈને માર્યોનો સરાણિયાનો એકેય દાખલો આખા દેશમાં ના જડે સાહેબ.. પણ અમારુ હાંભળે કોણ?

ચપ્પાની ધાર કાઢનારા અમને ચપ્પા વેચનારા તરીકેનું સરકારનું ઓળખપત્ર આપો ને સાથે, ઘર, અનાજ મળે એવું રેશનકાર્ડ, #બીપીએલયાદીમાં નામ ને ધંધા માટે નાની મદદ.. આ અમારી માંગ. #સરકાર અમારી માઈ-બાપ ઈની પાહે એટલો તો અધિકાર ખરો ન?

The image that crosses your mind at the mention of the word Nat is acrobats walking on ropes,  correct?

You can see  such daredevil acts in circus as well but,  the circus artists perform with safety measures, whereas we have none.

Many of us have had fatal accidents while performing these acts but, we have complete faith in our deity. It is be
cause of our trust in her blessings that we are able perform fearlessly. You won’t find us in towns and urban areas but, we still perform in the remote regions of Gujarat.. try finding us you would be surprised to witness our daredevil stunts.

Oh yes, do not confuse us with those roadside Nats who make their small children act and perform such life-threatening acts, we are not those, we can never risk the lives of our children we are the Raj-Nat of Gujarat. During the times of Kings and kingdoms we were much honored and respected for our skills but, our fate has changed now!!

We were never part of any region, we kept travelling to various places to perform our art and we continue to  do that. But, the government does not consider us as nomadic community. We do not feature on the list of nomadic communities. Can you believe that??

Get us our community included in the list, can you? The officials do not give us a caste certificate because they cannot find our community on the list when they look at their computer screen!! Without a caste certificate, we are unable to access any of the government schemes that are for the benefit of communities like us. All we want is getting our community included in the official list of nomadic tribes of Gujarat..

'આ શબ્દ બોલતા જ દોર પર #ખેલ કરતા અમે તમને દેખાઈએ.

સરકસમાંય અંગકસરતના અમારા જેવા ખેલ થાય પણ એ લોકો નીચે નેટ બાંધે પણ અમે ના બાંધીએ.
ઘણા પડ્યાને જીવથી ગયા. અામ તો અમારી સતીમાં અમારી રખેવાળી કરે ને એના ભરોષે જ અમે દોરડાં પર ચાલીએ.. યાદ આવ્યાને અમે? આજે બહુ નથી દેખાતા.. મૂળ તો લોકોને હવે નથી જોવા એટલે જ નથી દેખાતા પણ અંતરિયાળ ગામડાંમાં અમે હજુએ છીએ.. શોધજો દેખાઈશું.

અને હા અમે ગુજરાતના નટ. કોઈ દી નાના બાળકો પાહે ખેલ ના કરાવીએ. એટલે શહેરમાં માઈક ચાલુ કરી નાના બચુડાને ખેલ કરતા જોઈને એ અમે, એમ ના માનતા અમે તો #રાજનટ...

જાતિ પ્રમાણપત્ર આપતા પહેલાં સરકારી વેબસાઈટ પર જાતિની યાદી ચેક કરતા અધિકારીને નટ યાદીમાં દેખાતા નથી એટલે #પ્રમાણપત્ર મળતા નથી એટલે એમને તો એમનું નામ કોમ્પ્યુટરમાં ચડી જાય એટલે બસ અેમની માંગને અમારો ટેકો ને તમારો?

We do exist…

For centuries, this land has been our home; unrecognized, unnoticed we have continued to live on its wastelands, on the margins.

The British noticed us but chose to harass us. We were hopeful of a better life in independent India. We were hopeful that our countrymen would take care of us.

But even today no one has looked after us or for us. We still continue to live unrecognized and un-noticed.

70 years of Independence is pretty long time to be waiting for a better tomorrow. It is time we tell everyone, “we exist”

We will be in Palanpur on 14th October to let the world know “we exist.”

There will be lakhs of us on that day, peacefully talking about  our plight.

Maybe things will change for better for us after this and we might not be required to tell, “we exist.”

But if we go unnoticed on 14th October we might need to come together again, maybe in  Gandhinagar or in Ahmedabad so that we could be noticed better!!

One thing is for sure, we are getting together, to let the word know, WE EXIST….

‘અમે પણ છીએ’

સદીઓથી અમે તો હતાં જ પણ અમને કોઈએ ના જોયા.

અંગ્રેજોએ અમને જોયા ને ખુબ દુભવ્યા.હતું કે આઝાદ ભારતમાં અમને અમારાં ભાળશે(જોશે) ને અમારુ દુઃખ હરશે પણ ભઈ સા'બ અમને કોઈએ ના ભાળ્યા...

એટલે જ #આઝાદીના 70 વર્ષે અમારે કેવું પડ્યું કે ‘અમે પણ છીએ’

14 #ઓક્ટોબર 2017ના રોજ પાલનપુરમાં અમને પાંચને, દસને, હજારને નહીં પણ લાખોને ભાળશો...

પછી કદાચ નહીં કહેવું પડે કે ‘અમે પણ છીએ...’

જો કે ના ભાળો તો ફરી પાછા #ગાંધીનગર કે #અમદાવાદના આંગણે બધાય ભાળી હકે એમ ભેગા થાશું પણ હવે અમે ભેળા થાશું એ પાક્કુ...

‘ને જોરથી કહીશું ‘અમે પણ સીએ’

The nomadic and denotifed communities are demanding better treatment from police and freedom to practice their profession with dignity...

“Hey,  where are you from? Where have you brought these bedsheets from?”

“Saheb, we are Salat. We sell these bedsheets. Our ancestors made and maintained flour mills. But since manual flourmills have become redundant, we had to chage our occupation and now sell such bedsheets to earn living.”

“Do you have a license to sell? Show us the invoice to your purchases!

“Saheb, we do not have any license, here is the bill.”

“This is not a valid invoice, we need the bill with GST, this is illegal.”

“But, Saheb!!”

“No, this cannot be allowed!”

The nomadic and de-notified communities who have always
sustained themselves on traditional occupations
are facing such challenges.

“Saheb, you take whatever you want, we are illiterate. We don’t even know from where can we access the ID card required to do this business.”

“Give me four bedsheets!”

This is what the police do to harass such honest and poor bread-earners. Sometimes it is the goods while other days it is a note of Rs. 500!

Why are we harassed in such a manner when our occupation is valid? We do not rob or snatch from anyone, we work hard, walk from one village to another, carry heavy load in this heat and rain.  Give us a valid identity card so that we do not face such accusations.

The nomadic and de-notified communities who have always sustained themselves on traditional occupations are facing such challenges with the collapse of the age-old professions. The occupations they are into now are as legit as the traditional occupations were. They are demanding better treatment from police and freedom to practice their profession with dignity.”

We are supporting their claim and demand to work with dignity, are you??

‘અલ્યા એય તમે ક્યાંના? આ ચાદરો ક્યાંથી લાવ્યા?’ ‘

સાહેબ અમે સલાટ. ચાદરોનો ધંધો કરીએ. ઘૈડિયા ઘંટી ટાંકતા ને વેચતા પણ હવે ઘંટીઓ રહી નઈ એટલે ચાદરો વેચવા ગોમે ગોમ ફરીએ. ચાદરો અમદાવાદના વેપારી કનેથી લાયા.’

‘ચાદર વેચવાનું લાયસન્સ છે? ચાદરોનું બીલ બતાવો?’

‘સાહેબ લાયસન્સ નહીં. બીલ આ રહ્યું.’

‘આ બીલ ના ચાલે. ખોટા ધંધા કરો છો.. જી.એસ.ટી.વાળુ બીલ જોઈએ. આ બધુ ગેરકાયદેસર’

‘પણ સાહેબ’

‘ના ચાલે.. ‘

‘તમાર જે જોઈએ એ લઈ લો સાહેબ, અમે અભણ અગૂંઠા છાપ. પાસુ આ ધંધાનું ઓળખોપત્ર માંગો એ ચો મળે ઈનીયે ખબર નહીં.’

‘ચાર ચાદર આપી દે...’

બસ ચાદર કે બસો પાંચસો રૃપિયા પડાવીને ગરીબની આંતરડી કકડાવીને જતા રહે...

પરંપરાગત વ્યવસાય કરનાર વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓનો આ પ્રશ્ન... 

‘અમને કેમ આવી હેરાનગતિ. અમે જુઠ્ઠા ધંધા નથી કરતા ના કોઈનું ઝૂંટવીને લઈએ. તોય પેલા ધંધો નથી કરવા દેતા. તે અમને અમે જે ધંધો (વ્યવસાય) કરીએ ઈનું ઓળખપત્ર આપો.’

પરંપરાગત વ્યવસાય કરીને જીવનારા વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓના લોકોની આ માંગ...

અમારો એને ટેકો ને તમારો?

We are Ravaldev, Devipujak and Bajaniya…

We survive in extreme poverty, when we do not have small piece of land to build a tiny house thinking of piece of land to earn livelihood would be ironical. Our work as agricultural laborers have taught us the nuances to farming. Later we began renting farmlands and orchards to work. But, when some natural calamity affects the crop the benefits are given to the framers who own the land! It is us who should be getting this support because we have invested our money and labour in the crop!! The loss is ours not landowners so why is it that they receive  the benefits and not us? We also farm on river beds but here too we face tremendous harassment.

The villages have lot of wasteland. So, can’t there be a policy where a society is formed and such spans of wasteland is given to landless people like us?

The landless farmers Ravaldev, Devipujak, Bajaniya are demanding formation of co-operate societies and allotment of small piece of land to landless farmers like them, they are demanding that the assistance during crop failure should reach them and not the farmers who own the land, they want better policies that allow them to rent the dry river beds to help them grown food!!

We are offer support  their demands, are you?

અમે ગરીબ. અમારાંમાંના મોટાભાગના પાહે રહેવાય જમીન નહીં તો ખેતીની તો ક્યાંથી હોય. પણ ખેતી આવડે ખરી. ભાગીયા તરીકે ખેડુના ત્યાં રેતા રેતા અમે ખેતી કરતાંય શીખ્યા. હવે ઉધેડ જમીન વાવીએ ને ફળાઉ ઝાડની વાડીઓય ઊધેડ રાખીએ. પણ પાકને નુકશાની થાય ઈમાં સરકાર ખેડુને વળતર આપે. ઉધેડ રાખવાવાળા અમે રોકાણ કરીએ તોય નુકશાનીનું વળતર અમને નહીં. આવું કેમ?

ગામમાં ખરાબાની ને પડતર જમીન ઘણી.

જમીન વિહોણા અમને મંડળી બનાવીને ખેતી માટે જમીન ના આપો?

નદીના ભાઠામાં અમે ખેતી કરીએ એમાંય ઘણી હેરાનગતિ...

ઊઘેડ જમીન રાખનાર રાવળ દેવ, દેવીપૂજક, બજાણિયા વગેરેની માંગ,કુદરતી પાક નિષ્ફળતાનું વળતર અમનેય, ખરાબાની જમીનમાંથી અમારી સામૂહીક મંડળીઓ બનાવી ખેતી માટે જમીન આપોની ને નદીના ભાઠાય પટ્ટે આપોની અમારી માંગ.
