Mittal Patel meets Raghav and his father at VSSM's office

Raghav, is one of the many names of Lord Rama.

Little Raghav recently came to our office with a mask covering his face and an IV cannula tucked in one of his arms.

“How are you?” I asked him as he came and quietly sat down on the chair opposite me. Raghav was with his father Rameshbhai.

“I am ok!” he replied with a smile.

Raghav belongs to a village near Rajasthan’s Jodhpur; the name of the village got missed in the conversation.

Seven years old Raghav has blood cancer; unfortunately, cancer reappeared after it was treated once. It seems like the disease has gotten to like the host body.

Rameshbhai is a marginal farmer, and the treatment which has been going on since 2019 has required them to sell the little jewelry his wife owned. The family is financially and physically exhausted by the frequent rounds of Civil Hospital.

The Ahmedabad Civil Hospital attracts a lot of interstate cancer patients for its excellent facilities, but Raghav’s treatment could not be free of cost because the health card from Rajasthan or any other state does not work here.

I have a question and request for the government; can’t we make these government-issued health cards work across India? Low-income families fighting major diseases like cancer need support from the government because the cost of treatment is backbreaking, and the goodwill Ahmedabad civil hospital has in cancer treatment makes it an obvious choice.

“We will keep our faith alive until Raghav is alive; we cannot leave him to his fate and do nothing!” Rameshbhai shared with tears in his eyes and a heavy heart. He has been requesting support from anyone and everyone to help his son fight cancer. Raghav is a brave boy, giving the disease a fight with a smile on his face. At present, he is undergoing chemotherapy.

રાઘવ.. નામ બોલીયે ને ભગવાન રામનું સ્મરણ થઈ જાય.

આજે નાનકડો રાઘવ અમારી ઓફીસ પર આવ્યો. હાથમાં સીરીંજ લગાડેલી. મોંઢા પર માસ્ક પહેરેલું. એના પિતા રાજેશભાઈ સાથે આવીને ચુપચાપ મારી સામેની ખુરસીમાં બેસી ગયો. મે પુછ્યું. કૈસે હો આપ?

તો હસીને મોંઢુ નીચુ રાખીને ઠીક હું.. એવું બોલી નાખ્યું.

એ રાજસ્થાનના જોધપુર બાજુનો. ગામનું નામ એના પપ્પાએ કહ્યું પણ મને કાંઈ એ બહુ યાદ ન રહ્યું. 

આ રાઘવ સાત વર્ષનો એને બ્લડ કેન્સર થયું છે. એક વખત મટ્યા પછી પાછો ઉથલો.. કેન્સરને જાણે એનું શરીર ગમી ગયું. પણ આવો નિવાસ યોગ્ય નહીં..

રાજેશભાઈ સીમાંત ખેડૂત 2019થી સિવીલના ધક્કા ખાય એ થાક્યા છે. વાત કરતા કરતા રડી પડ્યા. પત્નીના ઘરેણાં વેચાઈ ગયા. હવે તો હાથે પગે આવી ગયો. 

મૂળ રાજસ્થાનના દર્દીઓની સારવાર સિવીલમાં વિનામુલ્યે ન થાય. આરોગ્ય કાર્ડ તેમની પાસે ગુજરાતનું જોઈએ. રાજસ્થાન સરકાર મફત સારવાર માટે તેમનું કાર્ડ ચલાવે પણ ત્યાં કેન્સર માટે અમદાવાદ સીવીલ જેવી સુવિધા નથી.

રાજસ્થાનના ઘણા પેશન્ટની આ સ્થિતિ જોવું છું. સરકારને એક વિનંતી કરવી છે. એક કાર્ડ આખા દેશના નાગરિકો માટે ન કરી શકાય? કેન્સર જેવી બિમારી માણસને માનસીકની સાથે સાથે શારિરીક રીતે પણ ખતમ કરી નાખે ત્યારે સરકારનો ટેકો જરૃરી. વળી કેન્સરની ઉત્તમ સારવાર અમદાવાદમાં થાય એટલે જ જુદા જુદા રાજ્યના પેશન્ટ પણ અમદાવાદ સિવીલમાં સારવાર માટે આવે. પણ ખર્ચમાં એ બધા થાકી જાય.

રાઘવ હિંમતવાળો દીકરો. કેટલી પીડા એ સહે.. હાલ એની કીમોથેરાપી ચાલી રહી છે. એના પિતા કોઈ મદદ કરે તે માટે અહીં ત્યાં ભટકે. એ કહે, બચ્ચા જબ તક જિંદા હૈ તબ તક ઉમ્મીદ ભી કાયમ હૈ. હમ એસે ઈલાજ કરાયે બગરે ઉસે અપને હાલ પે છોડ નહીં સકતે..

એમની વાત સાચી.. એ જિંદાદીલ માણસ છે. પણ હવે થાક્યા છે. અમે એમને રાઘવની સારવારમાં મદદ કરી પણ એમને વધારે મદદની જરૃર છે.તમે સૌ સાથે આવો તો એ સાજો થઈ શકે એમ છે. મદદ માટે  90999-36013 પર વાત કરી શકાય. અથવા 99090-49893 પર GPay કરી શકાય.

Moninderbhai meets Mittal Patel at VSSM's office

My son is suffering from blood cancer, and when I needed the warmth and support of my family the most, my parents ended their relationship with me. Harinder is undergoing treatment at Ahmedabad's Civil Hospital. I would see Kiranbhai assisting with the treatment of Aayushi. Initially, I thought he was a family member only to learn that he represents your organisation. He was not their blood relative yet was helping them with blood collection and medicines. And my parents are not even bothered about me…."

Moninder Singh had tears in his eyes while sharing the above. The cancer treatment of his 14-year-old had already cost him his house and the car he drove to make a living. So after they had exhausted their resources at private hospitals, the family moved to Civil  Hospital.

VSSM's Kiran coordinates the medical assistance activities for financially deprived families under the Sanjeevani Arogya Setu initiative. We also began supporting Harinder's treatment. One day, Moninderbhai came over to our office to meet me. "I wanted to meet the angle who selflessly supports families like us." While interacting, he shared about the broken ties with his parents.

His son's treatment requires Moninderbhai to be in Ahmedabad; his wife and three children are at his in-laws' home in Chotila. So we offered him a loan to enable him to start a new venture. He mentioned coming over next couple of days for the loan to create a kiosk selling sunglasses. Moninderbhai's wish was to purchase a car, so he could once again drive it on rent (it was Harinder's wish he had fulfilled when he first bought a car). But buying a car would need a considerable investment; hence, he started by selling sunglasses, which was his first venture.

Moninderbhai did not come after two days, and we assumed he would be busy with his son's treatment.

"Didi, my Harinder left for another world. My parents and siblings did not even come for his last rites," a very emotional Moninderbhai tells me when he comes to the office after five days. 

With the help of Infomatic Solutions, VSSM extended a loan of Rs. 20,000 to help Moninder set up his business once again. He buys sunglasses with the said amount and comes to our office to show (as shown in the shared image)  how he will be selling those. "I wish to buy a car once again. It was my Harinder's favourite thing. My parents disowned me, but I do not wish to disown my son's wishes…"

VSSM wishes the very best to Moninderbhai in all his future endeavours, and may God give him the strength to bear the loss of his child.

'મારા દિકરાને બ્લક કેન્સર થયું. મારા મા - બાપને એની જાણ થઈ કે એમણે મારી સાથેનો સંંબંધ કાપી નાખ્યો. જે સમયે મને એમની હૂંફની, લાગણીની જરૃર હતી એ ટાણે એમણે સંબંધ કાપી નાખ્યો... હાલ હરીન્દની સારવાર સિવીલમાં ચાલે છે. તમારા કીરણભાઈ કેન્સર વોર્ડમાં દાખલ આયુષીની ખબર પુછવા એને જ્યારે લોહીની જરૃર પડે ત્યારે લોહી ભેગુ કરી આપવામાં અને બીજી મદદ માટે આવતા. કીરણભાઈ આયુષીના સગા હશે એવું મને લાગતું પણ પછી ખબર પડી એ તો સંસ્થામાંથી આવે છે. લોહીનો કોઈ સંબંધ નહીં તોય એ મદદ કરે. જ્યારે મારા તો સગા...'

આટલું બોલતા બોલતા મોનીન્દરભાઈની આંખો ભીની થઈ ગઈ. 

14 વર્ષના દીકરાની સારવારમાં મોનીન્દરભાઈએ પોતાનું ઘર અને જે ગાડી ઉપર ઘંધો કરતા તે ગાડી પણ વેચી નાખી. છેવટે ખાનગી હોસ્પીટલના ખર્ચા પોષાયા નહીં એટલે સીવીલમાં સારવાર માટે આવ્યા. 

અમારો કીરણ સંજીવની આરોગ્ય સેતુ અને સહાય કાર્યક્રમ અંતર્ગત આર્થિક સ્થિતિ નબળી હોય તેવા દર્દીઓની સારવારમાં મદદ કરે તેમ હરીન્દરની સારવારમાં પણ મદદ કરે. મોનીન્દરભાઈ એક દિવસ ઓફીસ પર મળવા આવ્યા. એ કહે, મારે એ ફરિશ્તાઓને જોવા હતા જે કોઈ પણ પ્રકારના સ્વાર્થ વગર સૌને મદદ કરે.. અમારી વચ્ચે ઘણી વાતો થઈ એમાં એમણે એમના મા-બાપે એમને ત્યજ્યાની વાત પણ કરી.

મોનીન્દરભાઈ દિકરાની સારવાર માટે સતત સીવીલમાં રહે. હવે ધંધો એમની પાસે રહ્યો નહોતો.એમના પત્ની ને ત્રણ બાળકો ચોટીલા એમના પિયરમાં રહે. મોનીન્દરભાઈને ફરીથી ધંધો શરૃ કરવા મદદ કરવાનું અમે કહ્યું. એમણે આભાર માન્યો ને બે દિવસ પછી આવીને ચશ્માનો વેપાર કરવા સહાય લઈ જઈશનું કહ્યું.

એમની ઈચ્છા તો ગાડી લેવાની હતી. મૂળ ગાડી પર ધંધો કરવાની ઈચ્છા હરિન્દરની હતી અને એટલે જ એ ગા઼ડી લાવ્યા હતા અને ભાડેથી એ ચલાવતા હતા. પણ ગાડી માટે ઘણા પૈસા જોઈએ એટલે એમણે કહ્યું જેનાથી મે ધંધો શરૃ કર્યો હતો તે ચશ્માના ધંધાથી જ બધુ પાછુ ચાલુ કરીશ. 

અમે બે દિવસ પછી આવવા કહ્યું પણ એ બે દિવસ થયા તોય આવ્યા નહીં. મને લાગ્યું દીકરાની સારવારમાં વ્યસ્ત થઈ ગયા હશે. લગભગ પાંચેક દિવસ પછી એ આવ્યા અને એમણે કહ્યું, 'દીદી મારો હરીન્દર ગયો.. મારા મા-બાપ, મારા ભાઈ બહેન એની મૈયતમાં પણ ન આવ્યા. એટલું કહેતા કહેતા એ ઢીલા થઈ ગયા.'હીંમત તો આપવાની જ હોય... એમને નવેસરથી ધંધો કરવા Infomatic Solutionsની મદદથી 20,000 આપ્યા. જેમાંથી એ ફોટોમાં દેખાય એ ચશ્મા લઈ આવ્યા. ચશ્મા ખરીદીને એ ઓફીસ આવ્યા ને આમ પથારો કરીને અમને બતાવ્યા..એમણે કહ્યું, આ ધંધામાંથી પૈસા ભેગા કરી ફરી ગાડી લઈશ. મારા હરીન્દરને એ ગમતી એટલે. મારા મા-બાપે મને ત્યજ્યો... પણ મારા હરીન્દરને ઈચ્છાને હું કાયમ રાખીશ...

મોનીન્દરભાઈને ધંધામાં સફળ થાય એવી શુભેચ્છા... ને જે તકલીફ એમના માથે આવી તે સહન કરવાની શક્તિ આપે તેવી પ્રાર્થના...

Dashrath gets a new life, thanks to a concerned and empathetic doctor and VSSM team…

Dashrath belongs to Banaskantha’s Ucchosan village. Unfortunately, some genetic conditions resulted in their losing eyesight for Dashrath and his elder brother Dahyo just a few months after the birth.

Dashrath’s mother also suffers from poor eyesight. Dahyo gained his vision after receiving treatment, but the same could not be done for Dashrath because of the family’s frail economic condition. 

Dashrath studies in the village school; although he is a 9th grader, he cannot read or write.

Benap’s Valabhai informed us about Dashrath’s condition. Valabhai is a very humble human being; he does not prefer his image or name mentioned anywhere for the noble work. Hence, we have refrained from mentioning his surname, lest someone recognises him. He brought Dashrath to Ahmedabad, and made rounds of the Civil hospital but could not manage to get a date for surgery. Benap is the farthermost village of Gujarat, after which begins India Pakistan border. It is challenging for him to travel frequently from this far.

I discussed Dashrath’s case with a dear friend and ophthalmologist, Dr Shwetambari, who asked us to bring him to the hospital she works. We took Dashrath to the hospital and got a date for his surgery. The surgery was costly, but our US-based well-wishing friend Manishaben volunteered to fund the entire surgery. The collective efforts helped us proceed with the treatment; while one eye was operated upon second will follow soon. Dr Shewtambari also played a crucial role in reducing the overall medical expenses for Dashrath’s treatment.

Dashrath and Dahyo recently lost their father; the brothers are avid musicians. Sangeetaben, TDO of Suigaum, gifted musical instruments to them, but finding work on a regular basis is a challenge. 

Dashrath’s mother runs a kiosk in front of their house; we proposed to help them stock their store well so that the mother can at least earn a decent income. “Help us buy a fridge to stock milk and cold drinks,” requested Dashrath’s mother. It was a genuine request, and Manishaben came forward to fund it.

“Didi, please visit my house whenever you are near my village. I wish to work with you once I am old enough.” Dashrath had told me when he had come to meet us at the office before leaving for home after surgery. And I made it a point to visit him whilst I was in Banaskantha recently.

Dashrath’s kith and kin had gathered at his house,  the atmosphere looked festive, and everyone thanked us.

“Why thank me? Valabhai, Manishaben, and Dr Shewtambari are the actual recipients of their gratitude. We have merely facilitated the process with a prayer that we are given more opportunities to be instrumental in helping others.

દશરથ બનાસકાંઠાના ઊચોસણ ગામનો.. 

પરિવારમાં કાંઈક આનુવંશીક બિમારી તે દશરથને એનો મોટો ભાઈ ડાહ્યો બેય ને જન્મ્યાના થોડાક મહિનાથી આંખે દેખાવાનું બંધ થયું. 

દશરથની માને પણ આંખે ઓછુ દેખાય. ડાહ્યાને હોસ્પીલ લઈ ગયા એનું ઓપરેશન થયું ને એની આંખોની રોશની પાછી આવી. પણ દશરથને બતાવવાનું આર્થિક સ્થિતિ નબળી હોવાના કારણે પરિવાર કરી ન શક્યો. 

વળી પાછુ દશરથને ગામની નિશાળમાં દાખલ કર્યો તે દશરથ હવે નવમા ધોરણમાં આવી ગયો. જો કે વાંચતા લખતા એને નથી આવડતું પણ...

આ દશરથની વિગત અમને બેણપના વાલાભાઈએ કહી.. વાલાભાઈ એકદમ ભગવાનના માણસ. એમનું નામ લખાય એ ગમે નહીં ક્યાંય ફોટોમાં આવવું પણ ન ગમે. એટલે વાલાભાઈની જાતિ નથી લખી નહીં તો સૌ એમને ઓળખી જાય.

દશરથને એ પોતે અમદાવાદ લઈ આવ્યા. બે ચાર વાર સિવીલના ધક્કા પણ ઓપરેશનની તારીખ સેટ ન થાય.. બેણપ એટલે પાકિસ્તાનની બોર્ડર પર ત્યાંથી વારંવાર આવવું મુશ્કેલ પડે. 

આવામાં આંખોના ડોક્ટર ને મારા મિત્ર શ્વેતાંબરી સાથે વાત કરી ને એમણે કહ્યું હું જે હોસ્પીટલમાં કામ કરુ છુ ત્યાં લઈ આવો. બસ દશરથને ત્યાં લઈ આવ્યા. ઓપરેશન માટે તારીખ મળી. ખર્ચો ઘણો થાય એમ હતું. ત્યાં અમારા મનીષાબહેન પંડ્યા અમેરીકામાં રહે. સેવાપારાયણના સંસ્કાર એમના પિતા તરફથી એમને મળેલા તે એમણે કહ્યું હું ઓપરેશન માટે મદદ કરીશ. 

ને દશરથનું એક આંખનું ઓપરેશન થઈ ગયું, બીજીનું હવે થશે. જો કે શ્વેતાબંરીના પ્રયત્નોથી હોસ્પીટલે પણ બહુ ઓછા ખર્ચમાં દશરથનું ઓપરેશન કર્યું. 

દશરથના પપ્પા થોડા મહિના પહેલાં જ ગુજરી ગયા. દશરથ અને ડાહ્યો બંને સરસ સંગીત વગાડે. તે સૂઈગામ ટીડીઓ તરીકે કામ કરતા કાજલબેને સંગીતના સાધનો લઈ આપ્યા. પણ એમાં કામ કાયમી ન મળે. 

દશરથી મા ઘર આગળ નાની દુકાન ચલાવે. અમે આ દુકાનમાં વધારે સામાન ભરાવી આપવા કહ્યું જેથી બેઠા બેઠા એ ધંધો કરી શકે. 

પણ દશરથની માએ કહ્યું સામાન નહીં તમે અમને ફ્રીજ લઈ આપો તો અમે દૂધ અને ઠંડા પીણા રાખી શકીએ..

અમને વાત યોગ્ય લાગી. મનિષાબહેને એમાં પણ મદદ કરી. 

દશરથ ઓપરેશન પછી ઘરે જઈ રહ્યો હતો ત્યારે કહેતો ગયેલો મારા ઘર આવજો દીદી અને મારે તમારી સાથે સંસ્થામાં કામ કરવું છે તે હમણાં બનાસકાંઠા ગઈ ત્યારે એને મળવા ખાસ ગઈ..

દશરથના તમામ સગાવહાલા એના ઘરે આવેલા. ઉત્સવ જેવો માહોલ હતો. સૌએ અમારો આભાર માન્યો...

મને થયું આમાં કોનો આભાર માનવાનો હું તો નિમિત્ત માત્ર. બાકી વાલાભાઈ, મનીષાબહેન, શ્વેતાબંરી આ આભારના સાચા હકદાર..

પણ  ખેર કુદરત આવા કાર્યોમાં નિમિત્ત બનાવે તેવી પ્રાર્થના...

Purvi !!

She fought a tough battle and miraculously survived her ailment.

Purvi and her parents live in Rajkot. Few months ago, a little short of her 7th birthday, Purvi fell ill and the condition did not improve. Manojbhai, her father too her to many local clinics but to no respite. The clinics could not diagnose her condition. Finally, a doctor in Chotila tells them that Purvi has a hole in her heart and treatment would cost a fortune at any private hospital.

Manojbhai was confused on further course of action. VSSM’s Kanubhai learnt about the situation and advised Manojbhai to proceed to Ahmedabad’s UN Mehta Cardiology Institute.

“How will I find my way through Ahmedabad and the hospital!”

Kanubhai assured that Kiranbhai will be there to take care of him through the treatment once he reaches Ahmedabad with Purvi.

There were a few hiccups due to sheer volume of patients, but Purvi had a successful surgery.

Manojbhai and Purvi were at our office to meet us all after discharge from the hospital. Purvi is a charmer, her father’s daughter. I asked her to stay back at the hostel, “I cannot live without my father!” she was quick to reply.

“I will send her here after she is a little older. Education will make her life better.” Manojbhai replied.

He thanked Kiran and Kanubhai for their support and guidance.

“In absence of the guidance I received, I would be deep into debt!” Manojbhhai tells me before leaving.

નામ એનું પૂર્વી..

દવાખાનામાંથી લાંબો જંગ જીતી એ આબાદ બહાર આવી.

રાજકોટમાં રહેતા મનોજભાઈની એ દીકરી. સાત વર્ષની એ હમણાં થઈ પણ થોડા મહિના પહેલાં અચાનક બિમાર પડી ને માંદગી લાંબી ચાલી. સ્થાનીક દવાખાના ઘણા ફર્યા પણ નિદાન ન થયું.

આખરે ચોટીલાના એક ડોક્ટરે કહ્યું કે પૂર્વીના હૃદયમાં કાણુ છે. જેની સારવાર માટે ખાનગી દવાખાનામાં મસમોટો ખર્ચ થાય.

શું કરવું? મનોજભાઈને મૂંઝવે. અમારા કાર્યકર કનુભાઈને આ ખ્યાલ આવ્યો ને એમણે મનોજભાઈને અમદાવાદ યુ.એન.મહેતા હોસ્પીટલમાંં જવા કહ્યું. 

'પણ કનુભાઈ અમદાવાદમાં અમને આ બધુ જડે નહીં...'

મનોજભાઈને દિલાસાની સાથે સિવીલ હોસ્પીટલમાં પહોંચશો તો મદદ માટે મારા જેવો જ કિરણ તૈયાર હશેનું કનુભાઈએ કહ્યું ને મનોજભાઈ પહોંચી આવ્યા અમદાવાદ.

થોડા ધક્કા થયા મૂળ દર્દીઓ વધારે પણ આખરે પૂર્વીનું ઓપરેશન સફળતાપૂર્વક થયું.

આજે એ પૂર્વીને લઈને ખાસ મળવા આવ્યા. પૂર્વી એકદમ મીઠડી. સફરજન આપ્યું તો કહે, મને ના ભાવે. પપ્પાની એ વહાલુડી દીકરી. મે એને અમદાવાદ ભણવા રહીજાનું કહ્યું તો હસીને કહે, 'પપ્પા વગર મને નો હોરવે...'

પણ મનોજભાઈએ કહ્યું, 'બેન થોડી મોટી થાય પછી અહીંયા જ મુકી દઈશ. ભણશે તો જીંદગી સુધરશે...'

કિરણ અને કનુભાઈનો એમણે ઘણો આભાર માન્યો. 

'સાચુ માર્ગદર્શન મળ્યું નકર દેવામાં ડુબી ગ્યો હોત બેન..' એવું એમણે જતા જતા કહ્યું...

Somibahen, whom we know through her son Balubhai.

Balubhai is an enthusiastic and self-motivated young man, always eager to volunteer with VSSM whenever some need emerges. His father who made living through weaving cane baskets not only educated Balubhai but also instilled important life lessons in him.

Balubhai set up an independent printing press but couldn’t expand the business due to a lack of funds. He knew about VSSM’s interest-free loan program but hesitated to take the organisation’s money. “One has to give to an organisation, not take from it!” his intentions were noble as our good old Devabhai’s. 

Balubhai would take the initiative and would walk along  VSSM whenever it needed community volunteers hence,  we knew the challenges he faced in expanding his business. We convinced him to take VSSM’s support, which he did and eventually expanded his business.

Balubhai's family lives in a kuccha house, but he is saving up for a pucca house he dreams to move into. “I will build the house from the money I earn, I do not wish to build one on borrowed funds,” Balubhai believed.

While we fought the first wave of the pandemic, Balubhai’s father succumbed to brief illness and the entire family was infected during the second wave. Somibahen was also infected and faced breathing issues. They could not find her a bed in any government hospital hence was admitted to a private hospital. Somibahen’s recovery took longer than expected, her stay in the hospital was prolonged and the medical bills mounted. Balubhai did not think twice about incurring expenses on his mother’s treatment. VSSM learnt about his condition and offered moral and economic support to help Balubhai overcome the financial crunch. With financial aid from our dear Krishnakant Mehta uncle and Dr Indira Mehta auntie, we extended support to Balubhai and prayers helped Somiben recover well.

When Balubhai learnt that we were going to pass by their Dangiya village in Banaskantha,  they insisted we visit them. We stopped by and relished a good cup of tea. “Your support provided strength to push me to recover well,” Somibahen mentioned. Everything is destined, the ones who had to help you did so, we just played our role.” I opined.

“I will put in hard work to build one, you have done enough. We are glad to have your support…” it felt good to hear this.

I have come across many individuals working in the welfare sector who expect something in return for the work they do for others, but then I meet individuals like Baluhai, Devabhai, Pratap and a few others whose selflessness is like sunshine. Their firm belief that we cannot accept charity is a characteristic that sets them apart. I wish for such righteous thoughts to spread across widely.  

 સોમીબહેન... 

આમ તો એમનો પરિચય એમના દીકરાના લીધે..બલુભાઈ સ્વબળે ઊભા થવા મથતા તરવરિયા યુવાન.. અમારા સેવાકાર્યોમાં મદદ માટે સદાય તત્પર...એમના પિતાએ વાંસના સૂડલાં ટોપલા બનાવી વેચ્યા ને એમને ભણાવ્યા સાથે સમજણના પાઠ પણ ભણાવ્યા. 

બલુભાઈએ પ્રિન્ટીંગનો સ્વતંત્ર ધંધો શરૃ કર્યો. પણ બાપીકી એવી કોઈ મૂડી પાસે નહીં તે ધંધો વધારી શકે.. VSSM વગર વ્યાજે લોન આપે એવી ખબર પણ સંસ્થા પાસેથી મદદ લેવાય? સંસ્થાને તો આપવાનું હોય એવી એમની ભાવના. અદલ નેકનામના અમારા દેવાભાઈ જેવી.. 

બલુભાઈ સંસ્થાના દરેક સેવાકાર્યોમાં ખડે પગે.. વળી એ માટે એમને કહેવું પણ ન પડે... એટલે એમના પર ધ્યાન તો જાય જ..અમે સમજાવીને લોન આપી.. ધંધો થોડો વધ્યો... હાલ રહેવાનું અસ્થાયી ઘરમાં. સમણું પોતાનું પાક્કુ ઘર થાય એ માટેનું ને એ માટે મહેનત પણ ખુબ કરે. પૈસા ભેગા થશે તો જાતે ઘર બનાવી લઈશ. કોઈની ઓશિયાળી મારે નથી વેઠવી એવી ઉમદા ભાવના..

આવામાં તેમના પિતા બિમાર પડ્યા ને માંદગી પછી દેવલોક પામ્યા. આ ઓછુ હતું ત્યાં કોરોનાની બીજી લહેરે તેમના આખા ઘરને ઝપેટમાં લીધું. 

સોમીબહેન બિમાર પડ્યા. શ્વાસ લેવામાં ભયંકર તકલીફ થવા માંડી. સરકારી દવાખાનામાં જગ્યા ન મળી. આખરે ખાનગી હોસ્પીટલમાં એમને દાખલ કર્યા. ખાનગી હોસ્પીટલના મસમોટા બીલ. પણ બલુભાઈ શ્રવણ જેવા દીકરા. માની સેવા ચાકરીમાં પાછા ન પડે. સોમીબેનને સાજા કરવા માથે દેવું કર્યું. પણ હોસ્પીટલમાં રહેવાનો સમય વધ્યો તબીયતમાં સુધારો ન થાય. આ બાબતનો અમને ખ્યાલ આવ્યો. હિંમત તો આપવાની જ હોય.. સાથે આર્થિક રીત એ ભાંગી ન પડે તે માટે અમારા પ્રિય ક્રિષ્ણકાંત મહેતા(અંકલ) ને ડો.ઈન્દારા મહેતા(આંટી)ની મદદથી મદદ કરી.સૌની પ્રાર્થનાથી એ સાજા થયા..

સોમીબહેન ને બલુભાઈનું રહેવાનું બનાસકાંઠાના ડાંગિયાગામમાં તે ત્યાંથી પસાર થવાનું થયું. અમારા કાર્યકર નારણભાઈએ એમને તેમના ગામમાંથી પસાર થઈ રહ્યાનું કહ્યું તે એમણે ઘરે આવવા ખાસ આગ્રહ કર્યો.એંમના ઘરે સરસ ચા તો પીધી.. સાથે સોમીબહેનને પણ મળ્યા. એમણે કહ્યું. 'તમે હિંમત ને મદદ આપી તે આજે જીવતી છું'મદદ કરવાવાળાએ કરી અમે તો નિમિત્ત હતા. બાકી બધુયે નિશ્ચિત હોય છે એવું સોમીબહેનને અમે કહ્યું...

ડાંગિયાથી નીકળતા બલુભાઈને ઘર માટે શું વિચાર્યું એવું પુછ્યું તો એમણે કહ્યું, 'જાત મહેતનથી કરી લઈશ બેન.. તમે ઘણું કર્યું. તમે સાથો છો એ અમારે મન ઘણું...' સાંભળીને રાજી થવાયું..

સેવા કાર્યોમાં ઘણાય લોકોને હું જોવું છું. જેમને કોઈ આપે એની જ એષણા હોય, લાલચો હોય પણ બલુભાઈ, દેવાભાઈ, પ્રતાપ, ચતુર વગેરેને જોવું છું ત્યારે મને ઘણો આનંદ થાય.. ધર્માદાનું અમને ના ખપે...

આવા સુંદર વિચાર સૌનામાં રોપાય તેવી શુભભાવના....

VSSM's medical assistance helped shivo to save his leg...

Mittal Patel voiced her thoughts to Shivo and Madhuben

Shivo, the sole support to Madhuben’s existence. He was just 10 months old when his father left for heavenly abode. The community they belong to permits second marriages but Madhuben decided to remain single and raised Shivo with great challenges. As a result she could not educate him well. Madhuben sold vegetables on her hand cart, as Shivo grew he became her helping hand.

One day while cleaning the windows of their house, Shivo fell down and injured his leg. Initially,  they ignored the injury but as the pain in the leg grew the mother-son duo consulted a doctor. “The leg is decaying from inside, to stop it from progressing further we have no option but to amputate it,”  doctor’s diagnosis left Madhuben devastated. They started consulting private doctors and sinking into debt.

When we got to know about the situation, we got them to Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad. The doctors operated upon him and saved his leg.

VSSM’s Kiran moves through the most interior villages and brings seriously ill patients to Civil hospital and ensures they receive proper treatment. If needed VSSM also helps them financially.  

All our health interventions become possible because of support from our dear Krishnakant Uncle and Dr. Indira Auntie.

Shiva and his mother were at our office after getting discharged from the hospital. We also provided them financial support to help them ease their debt. “In today’s times even our own choose to look the other way in times of need, while you helped us all the way!” They said expressing their gratitude. During the conversation, we learnt that the handcart they use is rented for Rs. 30 per day. We assured them to help with buying a handcart. This brought them great joy.

“You are blessed to have a mother like her, remember to care for her during her silver years!” I voiced my thoughts as the duo left.

“I will do my best!” Shiva replied with a smile.

Krishnakant Uncle and Indira Auntie, we are immensely grateful to you for providing us the opportunity to work for such noble cause.

નામ એનું શીવો..

મધુબહેનનો જીવવાનો એકમાત્ર આધાર.

દસ મહિનાના શીવાને મુકીને એના બાપા ગુજરી ગયેલા. મધુબહેને પેટે પાટા બાંધી એને મોટો કર્યો. આમ તો આવડી નાની ઉંમરે વિધવા થયેલા મઘુબહેન જે સમાજમાંથી આવતા એમાં બીજા લગ્નો થતા. પણ એમણે એ ન કર્યા.

જો કે એ શિવાને બહુ ભણાવી ન શક્યા. મધુબહેન ભાડાની લારી લઈ શાકભાજી વેચે. શીવો પણ મોટો થતા એમની મદદે લાગ્યો. 

એક દિવસ ઘરની બારી સાફ કરતા શીવો નીચે પડ્યો ને પગમાં વાગ્યું. પણ એ વખતે ઈજા પ્રત્યે ઝાઝુ ધ્યાન ન ગયું. મહિનાઓ વિત્યા ને પગમાં દુખાવો વધ્યો.

ડોક્ટરને બતાવ્યું ને ડોક્ટરે સડો થઈ ગયાનું ને સડાને આગળ વધતો અટકાવવા પગ કપાવવા કહ્યું. મધુબહેનના માથે આભ ફાટ્યું. 

ખાનગી દવાખાનાઓ ફરવાના શરૃ કર્યા. માથે દેવાનો ડુંગર થયો...

અમને ખ્યાલ આવ્યો. સિવીલમાં સારવાર શરૃ થઈ. ડોક્ટરે ઓપરેશન કર્યું ને શીવાનો પગ બચી ગયો. 

અમારો કીરણ દૂરના ગામડાંઓમાંથી કે શહેરમાંથી ગંભીર પ્રકારની બિમારીથી પીડાતા દર્દીઓને સીવિલ સુધી પહોંચાડી ત્યાં તેમની સરખી સારવાર થાય તે માટે મથે.. જરૃર પડે VSSM થકી અમે આર્થિક મદદ પણ કરીએ. 

આરોગ્ય સંદર્ભનું આખુ કાર્ય અમારા વહાલા ક્રિષ્ણકાંત મહેતા ને ડો.ઈન્દિરા મહેતાની મદદથી ચાલે. 

શીવાને રજા આપી પછી અમારી ઓફીસે મા- દિકરો ખાસ મળવા આવ્યા. દેવું થયું હતું તેને ઓછુ કરવા અમે નાનકડો ટેકો પણ કર્યો. 

કળયુગમાં આવા સમયે પોતાનાય મોઢું ફેરવી લે એવા ટાણે તમે મદદમાં ઊભા રહ્યા એમ કહીને તમણે આભાર માન્યો.. 

તેમની સાથે વાત કરતાં ખ્યાલ આવ્યો કે, તેઓ શાકભાજીની લારી દૈનિક 30 રૃપિયાના ભાડે લે છે. અમે એમને માલિકીની લારી લઈ આપવાનું વચન આપ્યું. 

શિવો ને મધુબહેન બેય રાજી... અમારી વિદાય લઈને અમારા પ્રાંગણમાંથી વિદાય લઈ રહેલા શીવાને મે આવી મા મળવી એ સદનસીબ. એની સેવા કરજે ને ઘડપણમાંય એને સાચવજેનું કહ્યું...

શીવાએ સ્મિત સાથે કહેવું ના પડે બેન એમ કહ્યું....

"Please give me poison I do not wish to live any longer!” pleads Ranjitbhai to his father Devrajbhai after making constant rounds of various clinics for the last seven months. Ranjitbhai lives in Lodhiyana village of Amreli and earned his living from applying sequins on sarees. Seven months ago, a truck hit him while he was on his way to Una. One of his legs suffered a severe injury and had to be operated on to insert a rod. The family spent their savings on this surgery. While recuperating he developed some infection in the same leg, once again he was making rounds of hospitals in Rajkot, Junagadh, Mahuva… but no one could treat his condition and severe pain persisted. Finally, when they learnt about a free treatment program in Timbi, the father-son duo reached Timbi.

Pareshbhai from Timbi Hospital administration department called me up with a request to help Ranjitbhai receive treatment from Ahmedabad Civil Hospital. Ranjitbhai had no money to travel to Ahmedabad hence, Pareshbhai arranged for an ambulance while Kiran took care of the formalities for his admission into Civil Hospital.

Now it was a matter of waiting and being patient. Ranjitbhai’s wound was dressed daily, the doctor made daily visits but would not talk much to the patient. The father-son duo was very confused with this approach. It made them restless. Why are they operating Ranjitbhai when other doctors had advised the same? The question bothered them. But how to find an answer to the same!?

In the meanwhile,  cyclone Tauktae blew away the roof over their house in their hometown and their livelihood also suffered.

VSSM’s Kiran would regularly visit the father-son duo at the hospital. One day the father requested Kiranbhai, ‘Please get us relieved from here. It is better for Ranjit to be amidst the family instead of dying a lonely death here at the hospital.”

Kiran mentioned this to me, I called Devrajbapa to the office. Ranjit’s younger brother who was visiting him also accompanied his father to the office.

Devrajbapa was in tears describing the silence of the doctors and the condition of their cyclone ravaged house. Ranjit was much better but the men had lost hope, primarily because the doctor would not provide regular updates on Ranjit’s medical condition and they were not confident to speak to the doctor on their own.

I spoke to Shri Kamleshbhai Upadhyay who works at Civil Hospital, he spoke to the doctors treating Ranjitbhai. The doctors asked for  Devrajbapa to meet him. Kiran accompanied Devrajbapa and his younger son to meet the doctor. Devrajbapa asked all the questions that bothered him about Ranjitbhai’s condition, and the doctor patiently replied and resolved to each one of them.

“Now we will be here for as long as it takes for Ranjit to fully recover…” a relieved Devrajbapa tells us.

We provided the younger son with a tarpaulin and some cash while assuring him of support to start some business. Devrajbapa was at peace by now.

The reason for my sharing this rather insignificant story here is to draw your attention to the improving conditions of public hospitals and the need for them to pay attention to matters like so, to improve the communication with the patients and their relatives and ease their worries.

Yesterday the doctors performed plastic surgery on Ranjitbhai’s wound that had finally healed, he will be able to leave for Lundhiya in the next few days.

 'મને ઝેર દઈ દ્યો મારે હવે નથી જીવવું..'

છેલ્લા સાતે મહિનાથી એક દવાખાનામાંથી બીજે ને ત્યાંથી ત્રીજે ધક્કા ખાતા રણજીતભાઈએ પોતાના પિતા દેવરાજભાઈને આ કહ્યું.મૂળ અમરેલીના લોંધિયાગામના વતની રણજીભાઈ દેવીપૂજક સાડીઓમાં ટીલડીઓ લગાડવાનું કરે. સાત મહિના પહેલાં ઉના જતા ટ્રકે અડફેટે લીધા. ઢીંચણથી નીચેના ભાગમાં ફેક્ચર આવ્યું. ઓપરેશન થયું સળિયા નંખાયા. બચત ખર્ચાઈ ગઈ. ઘરે આવ્યા પછી પગમાં રસી થઈ. ફરી દવાખાનાના ધક્કા, દેવરાજાબાપા કહે, જુનાગઢ, રાજકોટ, મહુવા વગેરે કાંઈ કેટલાય દવાખાને ધક્કા ખાધા પણ દરદ મટે નહીં. છેવટે ટીંબીમાં મફત સારવારની જાણ થઈ. તે પહોંચ્યા ટીંબી.

ટીંબી હોસ્પીટલના સંચાલનમાં પરેશભાઈ કાર્યરત એમણે મને ફોન કર્યો ને રણજીતભાઈને સીવીલમાં સારવાર કરાવવામાં મદદ કરવા કહ્યું. અમદાવાદ આવવા પૈસા નહીં તે પરેશભાઈએ એમ્બ્યુલન્સ બાંધી આપી. અહીંયા આવતા વેત અમારા કાર્યકર કીરણે એમને દાખલ કરાવી દીધા. હવે મુદ્દો હતો ધીરજનો. રોજ ડ્રેસીંગ થયા. ડોક્ટર આવે ફટાફટ રજીભાઈને જોઈને જતા રહે. પણ દેવરાજબાપા કે રણજીતભાઈ સાથે ઝાઝી વાત ન થાય. બીજા ડોક્ટરોએ તો ઓપરેશનનું કહેલું ત્યારે અહીંયા એમાનું કેમ કરતા નથી તે પ્રશ્ન પણ થાય. પણ પુછી ન શકે. 

તૌકતે વાવાઝોડુ એમના ગામમાં આવીને ગયું અને એમનું છાપરુ ઊડી ગયું. રોજગારના  પણ કોઈ ઠેકાણા નહીં.  

માનસીક રીતે ભાંગી પડેલા રણજીભાઈ અને બાપાના હાલચાલ પુછવા અમારો કિરણ નિયમીત જાય. તે એક દિવસ એમણે કિરણને કહ્યું, 'અમને રજા દઈ દ્યો. ઘીરે અમારા બધાની વચમાં રણજીત મરશે તો ચાલશે પણ આંયા...'

કીરણે મને વાત કરીને અમે દેવરાજાબાપાને ઓફીસે બોલાવ્યા. તેમનો નાનો દીકરો પણ ખબર પુછવા આવેલો તે બાપ દીકરો બેઉ ઓફીસે આવ્યા. 

ડોક્ટર કાંઈ કહેતા નથી ને ઘરની સ્થિતિ તો બોલતા બોલતા દેવરાજબાપાની આંખમાં આસુ આવી ગયા. રણજીતભાઈને ઘણું સારુ હતું છતાં આ લોકો હિંમત હારી ગયેલા. મૂળ પ્રશ્ન ડોક્ટરે તેમની સાથે વાત નહોતી કરી. ક્યાંક આ લોકો ડોક્ટરને પુછી ન શક્યા.

આખરે સીવીલમાં કાર્યકરત અને ખુબ સંવેદનશીલ શ્રી કમલેશભાઈ ઉપાધ્યાયને આ વાત કહી. તેમણે વિભાગના ડોક્ટરને વાત કરી. ડોક્ટરે કહ્યું કાકાને મોકલી આપો હું વાત કરીશ. અમે કીરણ સાથે દેવરાજાબાપાને તેમના નાના દીકરાને સીવીલ મોકલ્યા. બાપાએ ડોક્ટરને ઘણા પ્રશ્નો પુછ્યા ને ડોક્ટરે દરેક વાતનું સમાધાન આપ્યું. કાકાના જીવને શાંતિ થઈ એ પછી એમણે કીરણને કહ્યું, 'હવે જેટલા દી રાખશે એટલા દી રેશું ને રણજીતને હાજો નરવો લઈને આંયાથી જશું..'ગામડેથી આવેલા એમના નાના દીકરાને તોરપોલીન ને થોડા પૈસા આપ્યા. સાથે નવો ધંધો કરવા મદદ કરવા કહ્યું. કાકાને જીવને હવે સાવ શાંતિ થઈ. 

આ વાત સાવ નાનકડી છે.. મૂળ સારવારની સાથે ક્યાંક વાત કરવાનું થાય તો શું પરિણામ આવે એ દર્શાવવા આ લખ્યું. 

સરકારી હોસ્પીટલોમાં પહેલાં કરતા સુવિધા ઘણી સરસ થઈ છે. એમાં આવી વાતો પર ધ્યાન દેવાય તો સોને પે સુહાગા જેવું થઈ જાય.  ખેર ગઈ કાલે જ રણજીતભાઈને પગમાં જ્યાં પસ થયું હતું તે લાંબા સમયના ડ્રેસીંગ પછી સારુ થયું ને એમની પ્લાસ્ટીક સર્જરી પણ થઈ ગઈ. બે ચાર દિવસમાં હવે એ લુંધિયા જઈ શકશે..

Rahul Gadaliya meets Mittal Patel to express his gratitude

Rahul resides in Anand’s Sihol. 8 years ago he recovered from a freak injury which left some damage to his leg.  He always complained about leg ache. Rahul is 22 years old now but the pain in his leg had become unbearable. The family showed his condition to numerous hospitals but no one was able to diagnose the condition. Finally, at a private hospital a treatment costing more than a lac rupees was prescribed.

Rahul Gadaliya’s family sells toys for living, they did not have that kind of money.

Someone in Rahul’s extended family knew VSSM and its work, they knew we assisted people in need receive proper treatment. It was suggested to bring Rahul to Ahmedabad’s Civil Hospital and spoke to VSSM’s Kiran after inquiring if he would help through the treatment. 

Kiran informed Rahul to come to Ahmedabad without any worry or fear. Kiran was operated at Ahmedabad Civil and discharged after 11 days of stay at the hospital. He is much better now. After his discharge Rahul was in the office to express his gratitude. “I had not imagined to make it through this condition. I was tired of my visits to the clinics and hospitals. Everyone had advised me against treatment at Civil hospital, but here I am because of the assurance you had given me. I am much better now.”

Under the Sanjivani Aarogya Setu program VSSM supports medical treatment of the individuals who cannot afford medical treatments. Our dear Krishnakant Uncle and Indira Auntie have been providing financial assistance in this initiative.

We are so very grateful for the support they have been.

રાહુલ આણંદના સિહોલમાં રહે.. 8 વર્ષે પગમાં કાંઈક ઈજા થઈ એ વખતે તો સાજા થઈ જવાયું. પણ કોણ જાણે શું ખામી રહી તે પગમાં સતત દુખાવાની ફરિયાદ રહ્યા કરે.. હાલ એમની ઉંમર 22 વર્ષની પણ છેલ્લા બે વર્ષથી તો પીડાએ જીવવું દોઝખ કરી નાખેલું. 

કાંઈ કેટલાય દવાખાને બતાવ્યું પણ દરદ પકડાય નહીં. છેવટે એક ખાનગી હોસ્પીટલે દરદના ઈલાજ માટે એક લાખથી વધુનો ખર્ચ કહ્યો.

રમકડાં લાવીને વેચવાનું કામ કરતા રાહુલભાઈ ગાડલિયા કે તેમના પરિવાર પાસે નાણાંકીય સગવડ નહીં..

રાહુલભાઈના સગા vssmના કામોથી પરિચીત. અમદાવાદ સિવીલમાં અમે સાથે રહીને આ પ્રકારની બિમારીવાળા દર્દીની સારવારમાં મદદ કરીએની વાત એ જાણે. એમણે રાહુલને અમદાવાદ સીવીલમાં બતાવવા કહ્યું ને અમારા કાર્યકર કીરણ આ કાર્યમાં મદદ કરશેનું કહી કીરણ સાથે વાત કરી.

કીરણે ચિંતા વગર અમદાવાદ આવવા કહ્યું.  અમદાવાદ આવ્યા પછી ઓપરેશન થયું.11 દિવસ હોસ્પીટલ રહેવું પડ્યું. પણ હવે એ સંપૂર્ણ સ્વસ્થ છે.

આજે હોસ્પીટલમાંથી રજા આપી એ આભાર માનવા ઓફીસ પર આવ્યા. રાહુલભાઈએ કહ્યું, 'બચવાના કોઈ આસાર નહોતા. દવાઓ ને દવાખાનાથી થાક્યો હતો. સિવીલ માટે તો સૌ કોઈ ના પાડે પણ તમે ભરોષો આપ્યો ને હું આવ્યો. જુઓ હવે મને સારુ છે'

  Let us move our attention from the topic of Covid…

A recent meeting with Laxmikant Kaka in Rajkot reminded me of childhood stories on fate and destiny. VSSM’s Chayaben and Kanubhai introduced me to Laxmikant Kaka whilst I was in Rajkot recently.

Kaka was a cloth merchant living in Pune, more than 50 people worked at his factory. Sheth Laxmikant as he was called by all was a generous philanthropist always eager to offer help when needed. But as fate would have it, a fatal road accident snatched away his entire family including his wife, sons, daughter-in-law…. with only kaka surviving the car crash. The accident hurt Kaka’s mental health. He boarded some random train,   left Pune to reach no destination. He reached Rajkot and stayed back at the railway station.

It has been 25 years since 15 years ago he suddenly remembered his past. Kaka travelled back to Pune but found no remains from his past, he did not feel like meeting his relatives. After returning to Rajkot, he took up odd jobs to earn his living.

Laxmikant Kaka has aged, he cannot work as before. A non-profit trust was sending him tiffin but that too suddenly stopped. Later Khodubhai and others from the settlement have been bringing food to him. The families took turns to feed Kaka but eating food for free was not something that Kaka desired. However, since he had no option he accepted these favours. Khodubhai, took special care of Kaka in sickness and in health.

Once the VSSM team came in contact with Kaka they helped him obtain a ration card, voter id card and pension for the elderly. It has been very tough for Kaka to accept charity or be dependent on others. The awkwardness was quite evident on his face.

VSSM’s Chayaben began bringing a ration kit to Kaka under our Maavjat initiative. This did bring a sense of relief and joy to him but how to cook was a big question. “If it is ok we will cook three meals for you?” Kodhubhai had proposed.  Khodubhai himself was a man with limited means but he never turned away from helping kaka.

“There was a time when I provided for people in need…” Kaka could say no further as tears rolled down his eyes when we brought the first ration kit to him.

Kanubhai requested him to not lose heart, this was part of VSSM’s duty towards the elders it comes across.

Every month when we bring the ration kit to Kaka he notes down the details in a register and says a little prayer to thank God.

VSSM provides ration kits to 156 elderly every month. It is the support and donations from our society that enables us to do what we are doing.

The current situation helps us understand the power of nature, meeting kaka and learning about him was a similar experience. The helplessness he must have experienced then….

કોરોનાથી હટીને એક વાત કરવી છે.. 

પેલું નસીબ રાજાને પણ રંક બનાવી દેની વાત સાંભળેલી પણ રાજકોટમાં લક્ષ્મીકાંત કાકાને મળીને પ્રત્યક્ષ આ અનુભવ્યું..

લગભગ દોઢ મહિના પહેલાં રાજકોટ જવાનું થયેલું એ વેળા અમારા કાર્યકર છાયાબહેન, કનુભાઈએ મને લક્ષ્મીકાંત કાકાને મળાવી. 

કાકા વર્ષો પહેલાં પુનામાં રહેતા.એમનો કાપડનો મોટો ધંધો. પચાસ માણસો એમની ફેક્ટરીમાં કામ કરે. શેઠ તરીકે એ ઓળખાય. દાન ધરમમાંય એ ઘણું માને. આવા કાકા પરિવાર સાથે પ્રવાસ કરી રહ્યા હતા ને તેમના વાહનને અકસ્માત નડ્યો. આખો પરિવાર દીકરા, વહુ, તેમની પત્ની ને બધુ સાફ થઈ ગયું. કાકા એકલા બચ્યા.  

આ ઘટનાનો આઘાત કાકાનું મન અને મગજ સહન ન કરી શક્યુ. મગજ અસ્થિર થયું. એમણે પૂના છોડ્યું. ટ્રેનમાં બેસી બસ મુસાફરી કર્યા કરે. ફરતાં ફરતાં એ રાજકોટ આવ્યા ને રેલવે સ્ટેશન પર રહી ગયા. 

લગભગ 25 વર્ષ આમ ગયા. 15 વર્ષ પહેલાં અચનાક સુધ બુધ આવી. પૂના પરત ગયા પણ ત્યાં તો પોતાનું કોઈ અસ્તિત્વ જ નહોતું રહ્યું. સગાઓને મળવાનું મન ન થયું. એ રાજકોટ પાછા આવ્યા ને મળે તે મજૂરી કરી જીંદગી ગુજારવા લાગ્યા. 

રાજકોટના ચુનારાવાડમાં એક ભાઈએ પોતાનું કાચુ મકાન કાકાને કોઈ ભાડા વગર રહેવા આપ્યું. મૂળ કાકાનો સ્વભાવ પરગજુ એટલે એ સૌ કોઈને એ વહાલા લાગે.. 

વર્ષો આમ નીકળી ગયા.હવે કાકાથી કામ નથી થતું. થોડો સમય સ્થાનીક કોઈ ટ્રસ્ટે ટીફીન આપ્યું પણ પછી એ અચાનક એ બંધ થયું. એ પછી તેમની વસાહતના ખોડુભાઈને અન્ય સૌ મદદે આવ્યા. વારા ફરથી કાકાને બધા જમાડે પણ કાકાને આ ગમે નહીં. પણ શરીર સાથ ન આપે એટલે ના છૂટકે ન ગમતુ પણ કરે. જો કે ખોડુભાઈ વિશેષ ધ્યાન આપે. બિમારીમાં પણ કાકાની સારવાર એ કરાવે. 

આવા કાકાને અમારા કાર્યકરો મળ્યા ને એમના બધા ડોક્યુમેન્ટ બનાવી આપ્યા. રાશનકાર્ડ, મતદારાકાર્ડ મળ્યા પછી વૃદ્ધ પેન્શન પણ મળવાનું શરૃ થયું. પણ કાકાને  કોઈની ઓશિયાળી ન ગમે એમની વાતોમાં પણ એ દેખાય..

અમારા કાર્યકર છાયાબહેને કાકાને અમારા માવજત કાર્યક્રમ અંતર્ગત દર મહિને એમને ચાલે એટલું રાશન આપવા કહ્યું. કાકા સાંભળીને રાજી.. પણ જમવાનું કેવી રીતે બનાવશો? એ પુછતા કાકાની મદદે ખોડુભાઈ આવ્યા.  એમણે કહ્યું, 'તમને વાંધો ન હોય તો ત્રણે ટંકનું રાંધી અમે આપી જઈશું.' આમ પણ આર્થિક રીતે એવા સમૃદ્ધ નહીં છતાં ખોડુભાઈ કાકાનું ધ્યાન રાખતા એમને જમાડાય ખરા...(ફોટોમાં કાકા સાથે ખોડુભાઈને જોઈ શકાય)

અમે કાકાને પહેલી વાર રાશનકીટ આપી ત્યારે એમની આંખોમાંથી ઝળઝળિયા આવી ગયા. 

'એક વખત હતો જ્યારે હું સૌને આપતો આજે મારે....'

કાકા વધુ બોલી ન શક્યા..

કનુભાઈએ એમને દુઃખી ન થવા કહ્યું ને આ અમે અમારી ફરજના ભાગરૃપે કરીએ છીએ એ સમજાવ્યું. 

કાકાને દર મહિને રાશન આપવા જઈએ એ પછી એ રાશનની વિગતો ચોપડામાં લખે ને છેલ્લે ભગવાનનો આભાર માને...

લક્ષ્મીકાંત કાકા જેવા 156 માવતરોને અમે દર મહિને રાશન આપીયે છીએ.. આમ તો અમે કહેવા કરતા સમાજ સહયોગ કરે ને એમાંથી આ બધુ થાય... 

કુદરત શું કરી શકે તે અત્યારે આપણે અનુભવી રહ્યા છીએ.. 

કાકાને મળી ત્યારે પણ આજ અનુભવ થયેલો..

Naranbhai

I sold my Mangalsutra to pay for my husband’s covid medical bills.

Laxmiben, a Pakistani Hindu sought government permission to migrate to India after facing challenges in Pakistan.  Laxmiben, her husband Naranbhai and their three children reside in a rented house in Ahmedabad. Naranbhai, her husband, is a tailor. The couple barely managed to pay their monthly bills, there were no savings to fall back on.

Naranbhai got infected with covid 19 at a time when it was hard to find a bed anywhere in Ahmedabad or Gujarat. His oxygen level dropped.

Youth from other immigrant families helped them get admission into a private hospital. The hospital stay was long and so was the bill. Laxmiben requested help from others too.

VSSM extends support to Asmitaben

Asmitaben from Mandavdhar village also reeled under similar circumstances, her husband Pareshbhai is a diamond polisher. Money and savings have always been a scarce possession with them. Times got tougher when Asmitaben infected Covid. Her condition deteriorated and soon needed hospitalization. With no room in any government hospital, she too had to be admitted into a private hospital. And as it goes with all private hospitals,  the bill was huge. The family requested support from their community, but the requirement surpassed the support they received.

VSSM learnt about the condition of these and many other covid affected families, without further delay, we extended support to them. It is the objective of our Sanjivani Arogya Setu initiative. VSSM is reaching to the Covid affected families from the support it receives from its well-wishers.

'મારા ઘરવાળાને કોરોનામાંથી બેઠા કરવા મે મંગળ સુત્ર વેચ્યું'

લક્ષ્મીબેન મૂળ પાકિસ્તાની હીંદુ. પણ ત્યાં ગોઠ્યું નહીં એટલે પરિવાર સાથે સરકારની મંજૂરીથી એ અમદાવાદ આવ્યા. ઘરવાળા નારાયણભાઈ સિલાઈ કામ કરે. ભાડાના ઘરમાં ત્રણ બાળકો સાથે રહે. માંડ માંડ પુરુ કરતા લક્ષ્મીબેન પાસે બચત તો ક્યાંથી હોય...

આવામાં તેમના પતિ નારાયણભાઈને ગુજરાતમાં જ્યારે સરકારી હોસ્પીટલોમાં જગ્યા મળતી નહોતી એ વેળા કોરોના થયો. ઓક્સિજન લેવલ ઘટ્યું. પાકિસ્તાનથી આવેલા અન્ય હીંદુ યુવાનોએ મદદ કરી અને નારાયણભાઈને એક ખાનગી હોસ્પીટલમાં દાખલ કર્યા. 

લાંબો સમય દવાખાનામાં રહેવું પડ્યું. બીલ પણ મસમોટુ આવ્યું. સમાજના ને એ સિવાય પણ જે લોકો મદદ કરી શકે તેવા લોકો પાસે એમણે મદદ માંગી. 

આવી જ સ્થિતિ માંડવધારગામના અસ્મિતાબેનની. પતિ પરેશભાઈ હીરા ઘસે. પાસે એવી કોઈ મોટી બચત નહીં. ત્યાં અચાનક અસ્મીતાબેન કોરોનામાં સપડાયા. સ્થિતિ નાજુક થઈ સરકારી દવાખાનામાં જગ્યા ન મળતા એમને પણ ખાનગી હોસ્પીટલમાં દાખલ કરવા પડ્યા. ખર્ચા અહીંયા પણ મસમોટા.. 

સમાજમાં ઉઘરાણું નાખ્યું. થોડી મદદ મળી પણ જરૃર વધારે હતી. આ બેઉ અને એ સિવાય નબળી સ્થિતિ ધરાવતા કોરોનાગ્રસ્ત પરિવારની વિગત અમારા ધ્યાને આવી. આવા વ્યક્તિઓને મદદ તો કરવાની જ હોય..  

VSSMના સંજીવની આરોગ્ય સેતુ અને સહાય કાર્યક્રમનો ઉદૃશ્ય પણ એ જ છે. આ બેઉ ને એ સિવાયનાને અમારા પ્રિયજનોની મદદથી મદદ કરવાનું કરી રહ્યા છીએ..

Haribhai who is fighting the deadly mucormycosis infection

Once the battle against Corona is won, there is a fear of contracting Black Fungal infection called mucormycosis by diabetic patients who were given steroids to fight covid infection. The steroids raise blood sugar levels to dangerously high levels, unmonitored and untreated high levels invites mucormycosis infection. The trailing story will help you understand the disease and support someone fighting it. 

 For the past couple of weeks, we have had to support the treatment of few dear ones fighting the deadly mucormycosis infection. 

 Mucormycosis is a rare but deadly fungal infection. The fungus begins with the nose and eyes and rapidly spreads in the mouth and other parts. At times, before the disease is diagnosed it reaches the brain from where it is difficult to remove it. Early diagnosis can save eyes otherwise a small surgery to remove the fungus from the nose and eyes also removes the infected eye. 

 Once the surgery is done, a course of injections to eradicate any minute fungus remaining in the body needs to be done. 2 injections daily. The rate of these injections ranges between Rs. 300 to Rs. 7000 (they are in short supply currently). It also requires carrying blood tests to rule-out any side effects on the kidney. Insufficient post-operative care might prove fatal for the patient.  

 Treating mucormycosis is an expensive affair. Timely treatment is crucial to curb mucormycosis, we have read of  Government opening special cells to treat this infection in Rajkot and Ahmedabad. 

Three days back,  I received a call from Somabhai informing me of his father and uncle contracting mucormycosis. Somabhai’s father remains associated with VSSM from its inception and is very affectionate towards me. We immediately brought them to the hospital. One private hospital asked for an immediate deposit of Rs. 8 lacs with a balance  7 lacs to be deposited later. Who can afford such expensive treatment? 

 I called up Dr Shwetambari,  a friend and eye-specialist, who spoke to specialist doctors treating such patients and arranged for the surgeries of the duo. After numerous tests and investigations, the operations were performed at Sachi Hospital in Maninagar, Ahmedabad by Dr Sapan Shah and Dr Dipen Thakkar. Both operations were done one after the other and carried on for 4 hours each. Dr Sapan stood with us like a dear friend and Dr Dipen took utmost care of the patients. While Dr Shwetambari constantly remained on phone.  

 The operation cost was also very less, the team of doctors supported us the way we would want them to during such agonizing times. 

 VSSM’s Nitin remained with Sombhai while Kiran (who was under the weather) took medication and constantly ran backend needs. 

The duo lost one eye each as fungus had reached their eyes. Next came injections, the hospital had only enough to last 2 days hence, we had to arrange for the rest. We amplified the word for the need of the injections but in vain. We also spoke to Mumbai based Maharshibhai, but he too found it difficult to find the required injections. 

 The injections were available for patients at the government hospital, we could have admitted the duo at the same but there was a long waiting as the numbers of infected was rising steeply. The surgery would have taken time, delaying treatment was not an option we had. So we first decided to get the surgery done and in the meantime search for the injections. The injections need to be administered every day without a miss. 

We began the process of finding ways to admitting our duo at Civil Hospital because here the government ensures enough stock of required medicines. We remembered  Dr Kamlesh Upadhyay and briefed him on the status of our duo, he requested us to speak to Dr Mihirbhai Parmar.  

 Mihirbhai asked us to bring the duo to Civil Hospital, we brought them there on 8th May. One of the doctors asked us to take them back to their hometown and admit them to Patan Civil Hospital. Once again we knocked on the doors of Kamleshbhai and Mihirbhai, who helped us admit our duo to Civil Hospital. The administration of injections needs to be monitored constantly with regular blood tests ( to ensure the kidneys are not damaged in the process). All these tests cost a bomb at any private hospital. 

Laxman and Haribhai too were tired with the everyday rounds of getting their reports and scans done. They are not used to remaining indoors, they have never hit the bed with any illness so this was difficult for them. We pepped their morale.

“They were not ready to come here,  but your voice clip assuring not to worry and things will be taken care of convinced them to come to Ahmedabad.” Sombhai shared. 

 “You need to get well soon, I still need your support in our work so make sure you don’t remain unwell for long.” I had told them when they were at the office before going to the hospital. 

 “Since you have faith, we will be fine soon!”

I  keep praying for giving them the strength to go on and fight this illness…

 Today after the morning rounds, the doctor asked us to buy injections from outside. We were shocked to learn that Civil had no injections. How do we go forward? We had read about Chief Minister ordering 5000 injections. What now?

We searched for it at 7 -8 stores outside the hospital, Nitin also contacted his friends at the pharma company, Maulik and I also spoke to our doctor friends but the injections were nowhere to be found. Finally, Nitin’s friend from the pharma company helped find injections. Laxmanbhai and Haribhai received their first injection today. 

 Low immunity teamed with high blood sugar and rampant use of steroids has resulted in the rise of this infection. While the country is already ravaged by the deadly wave of covid 19, the added pangs of mucormycosis are adding fuel to the fire. 

 While we fight both these evils, a thought crosses my mind. Why can’t the doctors equipped to treat such cases, who have the required infrastructure and skills open their doors to such patients? They can charge reasonably but at least the waiting at government hospitals might lessen. This also is an infection that needs a rapid response, if the infection reaches the brain it proves to be fatal. The patient has already fought Covid, and putting up another fight is nerve-wracking. If you are listening, can you please open your doors to treat these patients…. The nation needs your support. 

VSSM is also supporting hospital treatment of 5 patients with corona. Amongst them, Rajubhai was shifted to Palanpur hospital from Tharad hospital. We are supporting the treatment of individuals who need advanced treatment to fight covid but cannot afford it.

કોરોનાથી એક સ્ટેપ આગળ મ્યુકર માઈકોસીસ. આને સમજવા માટે આ વાંચજો.. ક્યાંક કોઈને મદદરૃપ થઈ શકાય..

કોરોના સામે ને કોરોના પત્યા પછી થતા મ્યકર માઈકોસીસ સામે લડી રહેલા કેટલાક પ્રિયજનોની સારવારમાં મદદરૃપ થવામાં હાલ લાગ્યા છીએ..

પ્રથમ વાત મ્યુકર માઈકોસીસની..બહુ ભયંકર રોગ. નાક અને આંખોમાં ફુગ થઈ જાય વળી આ ફુગનો વિકાસ પણ ઝડપથી થાય. રોગ વિષે કશું સમજીએ એ પહેલાં તો મગજ સુધી પહોંચી જાય. ને પછી એને દુર કરવી અઘરી. પ્રાથમિક સ્તરે ખ્યાલ આવી જાય તો માણસની આંખ બચે નહીં તો નાનકડા ઓપરેશનથી ફુગને આંખ નાકમાંથી કાઢવામાં આવે ને સાથે આંખને પણ...

એ પત્યા પછી શરીરમાં ક્યાંય ફુગ ન રહી જાય એ માટે ઈન્જેક્શનનો કોર્સ.દરરોજના બે ઈન્જેક્શન લેવાના. બજારમાં 300 થી લઈને 7000માં આ ઈન્જેક્શન મળે. (જો કે હાલ શોર્ટેજ છે)કીડની પર અસર ન થાય તે માટે દર ત્રણેક દિવસે રીપોર્ટને બીજુ કેટલું બધુ. દવાની સાથે સરખુ ધ્યાન ન આપીયે તો દર્દી જીવથી જાય.. 

હાલ કોરોનાથી બચવા સ્ટીરોઈડનો ઉપયોગ થઈ રહ્યો છે. પણ જે દર્દી ડાયાબીટીસથી પીડાતા હોય તેવા દર્દીઓની સ્ટીરોઈડના કારણે સુગર વધે ને એ બધાનું બરાબર ધ્યાન ન રહે સુગર રીપોર્ટ ને જરૃરી દવાઓ સમયસર ન થાય તો પછી મ્યુકર માઈકોસીસ વગર બોલાવે આવી જાય.

ખેર ડોક્ટર વધારે સારી રીતે આ રોગ વિષે કહી શકે..

પણ ખર્ચાળ સારવાર. સરકારે રાજકોટ, અમદાવાદમાં સ્પેશીયલ વોર્ડ ઊભા કર્યાના સમાચાર વાંચ્યા. સરકારનો આભાર.. મૂળ ઓપરેશન સમયસર થાય ને ઈન્જેક્શન મળી જાય એ અગત્યનું..

ત્રણ દિવસ પહેલાં રાધનપુરથી સોમભાઈનો ફોન આવ્યો ને તેમના પિતા અને કાકાને મ્યુકર માઈકોસીસ થયાનું એમણે કહ્યું. એમના પિતાને મારા માટે બહુ લાગણી. મારી સાથે 2006થી એ સંકળાયેલા. સોમભાઈ તત્કાલ એમને હોસ્પીટલ લાવ્યા. એક ખાનગી હોસ્પીટલે આઠ લાખ જમા કરાવવા કહ્યું, બીજા સાત લાખ પછી થી આપવાના.

કોને પોષાય?

આંખના ડોક્ટર મારા મિત્ર શ્વેતાબંરીને ફોન કર્યો. તેમણે આંખ અને નાકના અન્ય ડોક્ટર સાથે વાત કરી અને આ બેય પેશન્ટના ઓપરેશન માટે વ્યવસ્થા કરી આપી. એ પછી કેટલાય રીપોર્ટ અને છેલ્લે મણીનગરમાં આવેલી સચી હોસ્પીટલમાં ડો. સપન શાહ અને ડો. દીપન ઠક્કરે ઓપરેશન કર્યું. બેય દર્દીના ઓપરેશન વારા ફરથી થયા. આઠ કલાકનો સમય લાગ્યો.  ડોં. સપન તો પ્રિયજન મદદ કરે એમ સાથે રહ્યા. તો ડો. દીપેને પણ એવું જ ધ્યાન રાખ્યું. 

સાથે શ્વેતાબંરીના ફોન પણ સતત ચાલુ..

ઓપરેશન ખર્ચ પણ બહાર કરતાં ઘણો ઓછો લીધો. મારા ખ્યાલથી આ કપરા કાળમાં ખરા અર્થમાં ડોક્ટરોએ જે રીતે વર્તવું જોઈએ એ રીતે તેઓ વર્ત્યા..

અમારા કાર્યકર નિતીન સોમભાઈ સાથે ખડે પગે. અમારો કીરણ એની તબીયત નાદુરસ્ત છતાં પેઈન કીલર લઈને દોડા દોડી કરે..

ઓપરેશન થઇ ગયું હવે વાત આવી ઈન્જેક્શનની. ડોક્ટરે કહ્યું એમની પાસેથી કદાચ એકાદ બે દિવસ ચાલે તેટલા ઈન્જેક્શન મળી જાય પછીની વ્યવસ્થા કરવી પડે. ઘણા લોકો સાથે વાત કરી. પણ ઈન્જેક્શન માર્કેટમાં ઉપલલબ્ધ ન હોવાનું કહ્યું. 

મુંબઈમાં રહેતા અને અમારા કાર્યોમાં મદદ કરતા મહર્ષીભાઈને વાત કરી પણ એમણે કહ્યું, મુંબઈમાં પણ નથી મળી રહ્યા. 

સરકારી હોસ્પીટલમાં પેશન્ટ દાખલ થાય તો ઈન્જેક્શન મળી જાય. એટલે એ દિશામાં કવાયત શરૃ કરી ત્યાં દાખલનું આમ તો પહેલાં પણ કરી શક્યા હોત પણ આ બિમારીવાળા કેસ વધી રહ્યા છે. સીવીલમાં પણ ઘણા દર્દી વેઈટીંગમાં  છે. ત્યાં ઓપરેશન માટે સમય લાગત. જ્યારે આ બિમારીની ખબર પડ્યા પછી ઓપરેશનમાં વિલંબ પોષાય નહીં. 

માટે ઓપરેશન પ્રથમ કરાવીને પછી લાગ્યા ઈન્જેક્શન ક્યાં મળે તેની માથાકૂટમાં... ઘણી ફોનાફોની કરી પણ કાંઈ મેળ ન પડે... કોઈ કહે એક બે આપુ.. પણ એક વખત ઈન્જેક્શન શરૃ કર્યા પછી સળંગ લેવા પડે.. વચમાં ન મળે તો પાછુ કોઈ કામનું નહીં...

સીવીલમાં સરકાર ઈન્જેક્શનની વ્યવસ્થા કરે એટલે ત્યાં તો ખુટવાનો પ્રશ્ન નહીં આવે એટલે સીવીલમાં લક્ષ્મણભાઈ અને હરીભાઈને દાખલ કરવા કવાયત આદરી. ડો કમલેશ ઉપાધ્યાય યાદ આવ્યા. પેશન્ટની સ્થિતિ વિષે એમને વાત કરી ને એમણે ડો.મીહીરભાઈ પરમાર સાથે વાત કરવા કહ્યું. 

મિહીરભાઈએ સીવીલ લઈ આવવા કહ્યું. તા. 8 મે ના રોજ સાંજના સીવીલ લઈ ગયા. પણ એક ડોક્ટરે એમના જિલ્લાની એટલે કે પાટણ સીવીલમાં લઈ જવા કહ્યું. પાછુ ડો. મિહીર અને ડો.કમલેશભાઈને હેરાન કર્યા. બેઉની મદદથી દર્દીઓને હોસ્પીટલમાં દાખલ કર્યા. હવે હાશ થઈ.. મૂળ ઈન્જેક્શનની સાથે સાથે દર બે ત્રણ દિવસે કીડનીના રીપોર્ટ કરવા પડે. કારણ આ ઈન્જેક્શનની અસર કીડનીને થઈ નથી ને એનું ધ્યાન પણ રાખવું પડે.  

જો કે લક્ષ્મણભાઈ હરીભાઈ આ દોડધામથી હવે થાક્યા હતા.. રીપોર્ટ,સીટીસ્કેલન, એમ.આર.આઈ એક જગ્યાએથી બીજી જગ્યાએ જવાનું.. વગેરે... ગામડાંમાં ખુલ્લામાં રહેલા અને ક્યારેય આવી રીતે પથારીમાં પડવાનું ન થયું હોય એમને આ બધુ બધુ આકરુ લાગે. પણ લક્ષ્મણભાઈને મે અને સોમભાઈએ હિંમત આપી. 

સોમભાઈએ કહ્યું એ અમદાવાદ આવવા તૈયાર નહોતા થતા પણ તમે મોકલેલી વોઈસ ક્લીપ ચિંતા ન કરો અહીંયા લઈ આવો વાળી સાંભળી પછી એ આવ્યા. સચી હોસ્પીટલ જતા પહેલાં ઓફીસ આવ્યા ત્યારે મે કહ્યું, 

'જુઓ ઝટ સાજા થઈને મારી સાથે સેવા કાર્યમાં પાછુ લાગવાનું છે એટલે ખાટલો ન પકડતા. એમણે કહ્યું, 'તમે કો છો ને બેન તો સરસ થઈ જશે...'

એમની આ શ્રદ્ધા દવાખાનું થકવાડે નહીં એની પ્રાર્થના રોજ કરુ છુ...

આજે સવારે ડોક્ટેર તપાસ્યા પછી બહારથી ઈન્જેકશન લખી આપ્યા. અમને મોટો ઝાટકો લાગ્યો. સીવીલમાં ઈન્જેકશન નથી. હવે શું? હોસ્પીટલ બહાર સાતેક મેડીકલ સ્ટોરમાં પુછ્યું પણ ક્યાંય નહીં.. આજે સવારે છાપામાં વાંચેલું કે મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રીએ 5000 ઈન્જેક્શનનો ઓર્ડર આપ્યો છે. પણ એ તો ઓર્ડર હાલ શું?

નિતીન એના પરિચીચ ફાર્માવાળા મિત્રોના સંપર્કમાં લાગ્યો. હું ને મૌલિક અમારા સંપર્કના મિત્રો, ડોક્ટરમાં. પણ મેળ ન પડે. આખરે નિતીનના એક ફાર્માવાળા મિત્રએ ઈન્જેકશ મેળવી આપ્યા ને હમણાં લક્ષ્મણભાઈ, હરીભાઈને પહેલું ઈન્જેક્શન આપ્યું..

નબળી રોગપ્રતિકારણ શક્તિ ને ડાયાબીટીસવાળા દર્દીની સ્થિતિ સમજ્યા વગર સ્ટીરોઈડ અપાય છે માટે આ ખતરનાક બિમારીના કેસ વધી રહ્યા છે.. કોરોનાએ આખા દેશને હેરાન કરી મુક્યો. ત્યાં આ મ્યુકર માઈકોસીસ.. 

કોરોનાની સાઈડ ઈફ્કેટથી આ રોગના દર્દી વધ્યા. ભગવાનને પ્રાર્થના તો કરીએ..પણ એક વિચાર આંખ અને કાનના ડોક્ટરો જેઓની પોતાની હોસ્પીટલ છે ને જેની આ મ્યુકર માઈકોસીસના ઓપરેશન કરવાની આવડત છે. તેઓ આવા પેશન્ટોના ઓપરેશન માટે પોતાની હોસ્પીટલના દરવાજા ખુલ્લા ન કરી શકે? 

શક્ય ઓછી ફી લઈને કે આ ઓપરેશન કરી આપે તો વેઈટીંગમાં જે પેશન્ટો છે એ વેઈટીંગ ન રહે.. મૂળ રાહ જોવાથી આ ફંગશ ફટાફટ મગજ સુધી પહોંચવા માંડે છે અને માણસને ખોઈ બેસવાનું થાય છે..આ કપરા કાળમાં દેશ માટે આટલી મદદ તો કરી જ શકાય ને.. 

આ સિવાય કોરોના થયેલા પાંચ પેશન્ટ જેઓ હોસ્પીટલમાં છે એમની સારવારમાં અમે શક્ય મદદ કરીશું. એમાંના રાજુભાઈને તો આજે થરાદ હોસ્પીટલમાંથી પાલનપુર હોસ્પીટલ શીફ્ટ કર્યા છે..

આર્થિક સ્થિતિ નબળી હોય તેવા પેશન્ટને શક્ય આર્થિક મદદ કરવાનું કરી રહ્યા છીએ...
