The current living condition of Madari families

Loosely transliterated it means…

“I may not be a golden lamp, but it would be enough for me if I can lit up a house of a poor like a lamp of clay…”

Since my childhood I have been extremely fond of this poem. I am unaware of its origins,  but the message never fails to evoke a thought, “What if each individual lived like this lamp of clay. The world would be such a magical place to live…”

The current living condition of Madari families

The District Collector of Surendranagar, Shri K. Rajesh lives these lines. He has committed himself and his team to resolve the issues of the nomadic communities of  Surendranagar.  Recently, he personally  visited the Madari settlement of Thangadh, understood their living conditions and announced that they shall receive Antyoday ration cards and residential plots. And like a concerned member of the family he also  expressed his resentment towards all who have been addicted to tobacco etc.

Compassion and sensitivity aren’t the qualities one can borrow. They lie  deep within us. We are glad that officers like Shri K. Rajesh have never allowed their sensitivity to be overtaken by power and position, that they have never walked away from their line of duty, they have always performed their duties with great humility and integrity.

It is often said that the king gets to know about the status of his subjects only when he sees it for himself, he lives within them in disguise. This was true for Shri Rajesh too, who on witnessing the living conditions of the madari families instructed his officers to issue Antyoday ration card to all these families.

We are delighted to have Shri Rajesh as the head of Surendranagar. The files that have piled on for ages are sure to be dusted off.

Our gratitude and appreciation for the officer Shir K. Rajesh. We wish other officers draw inspiration from individual like Shri Rakesh.

May we be instrumental in changing the lives of thousands of poor.

આ પંકિત્ નાનપણથી ખુબ ગમે.. કોણે લખી છે એ ખ્યાલ નહીં પણ આ પંક્તિમાં લખ્યા પ્રમાણેનું જીવન સૌ જીવે તો દુનિયા કેવી રૃડી થઈ જાય એવું સતત થયા કરે....

સુરેન્દ્રનગર કલેક્ટર શ્રી કે. રાજેશ પણ આ પંક્તિને ચરીતાર્થ કરતું કાર્ય કરી રહ્યા છે.. સુરેન્દ્રનગરમાં રહેતી વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિના તમામ પ્રશ્નોના ઉકેલ માટે તેઓ કટીબદ્ધ છે.

થાનગઢમાં આવેલી મદારી વસાહતમાં તેઓ પોતે પહોંચ્યા અને સૌની સ્થિતિ જોઈને રહેણાંક અર્થે પ્લોટ તેમજ સૌને અંત્યોદય કાર્ડ આપવાની જાહેરાત કરી. 

સાથે વ્યસન કરનાર લોકોને મીઠી ટકોર પણ કરી.

સંવેદનશીલતા કોઈ પાસેથી ઉધાર નથી લઈ શકાતી. માણસમાં એ પડી જ છે. પણ ક્યાંક એના ઉપર ધૂળ ચડી ગઈ હોય છે.. પણ કે. રાજેશન જેવા અધિકારીઓએ ક્યારેય તેમની સંવેદનશીલતા પર ઘૂળ ચડવા નથી દીધી જેનો રાજીપો છે...

રાજા દેશાટન માટે નીકળે તો એને પ્રજાની સાચી સ્થિતિ સમજાય...આ વાત પણ કલેક્ટર શ્રીના કિસ્સામાં સાચી ઠરી...

અમે તો મદારી પરિવારોને રહેવા પ્લોટ આપવાની જ વાત કરેલી પણ કલેક્ટર શ્રીએ આ પરિવારોની હાલત જોઈને તમામને અંત્યોદય રેશનકાર્ડ આપવા માટે પણ પૂરવઠા અધિકારીને સૂચના આપી..

વર્ષોથી સુરેન્દ્નનગરમાં કચેરીમાં રવડતી ફાઈલો પર કામ થવાનું એ નક્કી છે.. 

શ્રી કે.રાજેશ પ્રત્યે આદરભાવ... અને આભાર...

હજારો વંચિતોના જીવનમાં ઊજાસ પાથરવામાં કુદરત નિમિત્ત બનાવે તેવી પ્રાર્થના.... 

અમારો કાર્યકર હર્ષદ સતત વિચરતી જાતિઓની આ વસાહતોમાં થાક્યા વગર લાગ્યો રહ્યો છે. તેની મહેનતનું આ પરિણામ છે...

How much more will these families endure?

The current living condition of nomadic families

Since the last 40 years, the Devipujak and Raval families have called Delwada village of Gandhinagar’s Manasa their home. And their settlement is yet to receive primary facility like power. We have been trying for years to make it possible for these families to obtain plots upon which they could build their houses. The outcome  hasn’t been positive so far!!

Nomadic family 

Elders Narendrabhai Devipujak and Govindbhai Raval tell us as they share their pain, “even the Neem trees we planted are 35 years old now, they have found a place to grow and blossom but our condition continues to remain the dismal.”

Gandhinagar is at  the heart of Gujarat. When will these families who reel under tremendous difficulties receive place they can raise their home upon?

VSSM’s Tohid and Rizwan have stood beside  them like a rock. We will continue to try our best to ensure these families are not forced to evacuate their current place of residence and that they are provided plots to build their houses.

કેવી અસહ્ય યાતના આ પરિવારોને વેઠવાની થાય છે.

ગાંધીનગર જિલ્લાના માણસા તાલુકાના દેલવાડા ગામમાં દેવીપૂજક અને રાવળ પરિવારો છેલ્લા ૪૦ વર્ષ કરતા પણ વધારે સમયથી ગામમાં વસવાટ કરે છે. છતાં તેમની વસાહતમાં હજી સુધી લાઇટ જેવી પ્રાથમિક સુવિધા પહોંચી નથી.

રહેવા માટે પોતાનું ઘર થાય, પોતાની જગ્યા મળે એ માટે તેઓ વર્ષોથી પ્રયત્નો કરી રહ્યા છે પણ પરિણામ મળતું નથી.

નરેન્દ્ર ભાઈ દેવીપુજક અને ગોવિંદભાઈ રાવળ બંને જણા કે બેન અમે વાવેલા લીમડા આજે 35 વર્ષના થઈ ગયા એમનું ઠેકાણું પડી ગયું પણ અમારું ઠેકાણું પડ્યું નથી.

ગાંધીનગર જીલ્લો ગુજરાતનું હ્રદય. આ જિલ્લામાં અસહ્ય યાતનાઓ વેઠનાર વિચરતી જાતિના પરિવારોને પોતાનો આશરો પોતાનું ઘર ક્યારે મળશે?

એમને મળી ત્યારે એમણે પોતાનું હૈયું ઠાલવ્યું.

કાર્યકર તોહિદ અને રિઝવાન સતત એમની સાથે એમની મદદમાં..

આ પરિવારોને પોતાનું સરનામું મળે જ્યાંથી દબાણના નામે કોઈ એમના છાપરાં તોડે નહિ એ અપાવવામાં અમારાથી શક્ય મદદ કરીશું..

“Ben, we do not live on charity, because we do not have the capacity to donate in the temple we don’t even go to take the offerings at the much revered Jalaram Bapa’s temple here in Virpur!” Chagankaka was very honest and upfront in sharing his belief and principles.

for many years now. Their houses made from tin sheets are their home on  return to Virpur at regular intervals, while for the rest of the time they remain locked, as seen in the picture. The houses are locked not because they fear theft as there is nothing inside that would interest a robbers, the intent to lock the houses is to  ensure that no cattle or stray animals enter and spoil it.

their living  and look up to the government authorities to provide them their entitlements. Hence, Kanubhai and Chayaben have been striving to obtain residential plots for these families. After relentless efforts some families received ration cards however, each card carries just the name of the head of the family. Apparently, in the hurry of issuing cards the officer in charge forgot to list down names of all the family members in the issued ration cards. Take a look at Navghanbhai’s family size and the listed name on the ration card.

Each step forward in such official matters takes weeks to months at time years. Had the official worked carefully this mistake could have been easily avoided. We are now working to get them names of all the family members included.  It is a headache for us as well as the officials.

A ray of hope amidst such mishaps is the very empathetic Kamleshbhai, Block Development Officer, Jetpur. He has assured to try his best to ensure these families obtain residential plots. Also to make sure they receive caste certificates as soon as possible. This reinforces our belief that  compassionate and concerned officials at all the right places make such huge difference.

We are prepared to try our best to ensure that the Gadaliya families settle down to begin earning their living from the village itself.

On the day we were amongst them Hirabhai served us a soulful meal and  foods  made with heart and soul have the capacity to outclass the best  meals served at finest restaurants!!  

This year all we hope is to find a piece of  land for these families to build their homes upon.

વિરપુર જલારામબાપાની ભૂમી..

'બેન મફતનું અમને નો ખપે. ઘર્માદો નાખી હકાય એવી અમારી તેવડ નહીં એટલે ગામમાં જ જલારામ બાપા બેઠા હોય તોય ઈમની પ્રસાદ લેવા અમે નથ જતા.' એવું છગનબાપાએ કહ્યું.

અહીંયા વાત બે પાંચ રૃપિયાની નથી પણ સિદ્ધાંતની છે. મફતનું નો ખપે એવું આ લોકો માને. પણ સરકાર માઈબાપ એ ટેકો કરે એવી હોંશ તો રાખે.

ગાડલિયા પરિવારોએ વિરપુરમોં વર્ષો પહેલાં ડેરા નાખેલા. પતરામાંથી ઘર બનાવે. ને એ ઘરો જ્યારે કામ ધંધા માટે બહાર જાય ત્યારે ફોટોમાં દેખાય છે એ રીતે બંધ કરે. 

આમ તો ઘરમાં એવું કાંઈ ના હોય કે ચોરાઈ જવાનો સંભવ હોય. પણ ઘરમોં ઢોર ઢાંખર ઘુસી ના જાય માટે આવી રીતે તાળુ મારે.

આવા આ ગાડલિયા પરિવારોને રહેણાંક અર્થે જમીન મળે તે માટે કાર્યકર કનુભાઈ અને છાયાબહેન મથે. 

ઘણી મહેનત પછી કેટલાક પરિવારોના રેશનકાર્ડ નીકળ્યા પણ અધિકારી એવા ઉતાવળા કે એક રેશનકાર્ડમાં પરિવારના તમામના નામ લખ્યા વગર જ કુટુંબના મોભીનું એક જ નામ લખીને કાર્ડ આપી દીધા.. નવઘણભાઈનું કુટુંબ મોટું પણ ફોટોમાં જોશો તો એમના રેશનકાર્ડમાં એમનું એક જ નામ છે. જરા ધ્યાનથી કામ થાય તો આવી ભૂલો નિવારી શકાય. 

ખેર હવે અમારી મુશ્કેલી વધી. બધાના નામ કાર્ડમાં ચડાવવા એ ઘણી મહેનતું કામ.. પુરવઠા વિભાગામાં આ માથાકૂટ કરવી રહી.

સારા અધિકારી યોગ્ય જગ્યાએ બેસે તો કામ કેવું સરસ થાય તે સમજી શકાય છે.

બસ આ વર્ષમાં તેમને પોતાની જમીન ઘર બાંધવા જડી જાય તો અમને હાશ ને આ પરિવારોનેય હાશ...

The Story of Kankuma Bajaniya's ever-changing situation...

When I went to Kankuma’s settlement seven months back, she had welcomed me very warmly. Widow Kankuma had looked after her children very courageously but when she came to my office today, she looked very dull. 

Her young son’s wife Krishna has a cancer of mouth and she has been undergoing treatment in Ahmedabad cancer hospital. Kankuma sits outside Cancer Hospital with three children. Her son stays with his wife all day and Kankuma goes to bath her daughter in law. 

“Ben, my luck has turned.” Kankuma bajaniya ( resident of Nani Pipli, Taluka: Radhanpur, District: Patan) told me with moist eyes. My daughter in law is undergoing chemotherapy. We have Maa Card so, we don’t have to incur medical expenses but there are other household expenses. There has been illness in the house since last six months. All the savings also went away. 

Little Daksha who was sitting in Kankuma’s lap doesn’t even know what has happened to her mother. She can’t go to her mother neither Anil or Amna can. All the kids sit outside the Cancer ward as if they are waiting for their mother to come out cured. 

I gave some money to her for her day today expenses and talked to Dr. Pankaj Shah to tell the doctor not to make her pay for anything.   

I told Kankuma to put Krishnaben’s sons to our hostel and let them study. And she said yes. Let’s pray to god that the mother of these three will get better soon.   

I have written this incident to narrate how the condition of humans can turn. And also to tell you about kankuma’s courage. This grandmother is taking care of her children and with that she is giving strength to her son and daughter-in-law. My regards to Kankuma and prayers to god to take them out of all of this soon…

કંકુમાની વસાહતમાં આજથી સાતેક મહિના પહેલાં જવાનું થયું ત્યારે ખુબ ઊમળકાથી એમણે સ્વાગત કરેલું. વિધવા કંકુમાએ હિંમતથી પોતાના બાળકોને સાચવેલા પણ આજે ઓફીસ આવેલા કંકુ મા સાવ નિસ્તેજ જણાયા. જુવાન દીકરાની વહુ ક્રિષ્નાને મોંઢાનું કેન્સર છે અને કેન્સર હોસ્પીટલ અમદાવાદમાં એ સારવાર લઈ રહી છે. ત્રણ નાના બાળકોને લઈને કંકુમા કેન્સર હોસ્પીટલની બહાર બેસી રહે છે. આખો દિવસ વહુ પાસે દીકરો રહે અને વહુને નવડાવવા ધોવડાવવા કંકુ મા જાય.

બેન દશા ફરી જી કંકુ મા બજાણિયા (રહેવાસી નાની પીપીળી, તા. રાધનપુર જી. પાટણ) ઢીલા થઈ ગયા. વહુને શેક શરૃ કર્યા છે. મા કાર્ડ છે તે સારવારમાં પૈસા નથી લાગતા પણ બીજી હાથખર્ચી તો જુએને. છ મહિનાથી ઘરમાં મંદવાળ છે. ભેગુ એવું કાંઈ નહોતુ કર્યું પણ હતુ એય જતુ રહ્યું.

કંકુમાની ગોદમાં બેઠેલી નાની દક્ષાને તો ખબરેય નથી કે એની માને શું થયું છે એને તો મા પાસે જવાય નથી મળતું ના દીકરા અનીલ કે એમનાને જવા મળતું. બધાય બાળકો જાણે મા સાજી થઈને બહાર આવે એની રાહ જોતા કેન્સર વોર્ડની બહાર બેસી રહે છે.

ખર્ચી માટે થોડા રૃપિયા આપ્યા ને ત્યાંના ડોક્ટરને બહારથી દવા કે અન્ય ખર્ચ ના કરવા દેવા માટે ડો. પંકજભાઈ શાહને વાત કરી. 

કંકુ માને ક્રિષ્નાબેનના બે દીકરાને અમારી હોસ્ટેલમાં ભણવા મુકવા કહી દીધુ ને એમણે હાએ પાડી.. બસ આ ત્રણે બાળકોની મા ઝટ સાજી થાય તેવી ઈશ્વરને પ્રાર્થના કરીએ... 

આ આખો પ્રસંગ માણસની હાલત કેવી બદલી દે છે તે સમજવા જ લખ્યો છે... અને ખાસ કંકુ માની હિંમત માટે. ત્રણ છોકરાને આ દાદી આજે સાચવી રહ્યા છે સાથે દીકરાને વહુને હિંમેતેય આપી રહ્યા છે... આવા કંકુમાને પ્રણામ ને કુદરત તેમને આ બધામાંથી ઝટ બહાર કાઢે તેવી પ્રાર્થના...

Aaisaben Dafer sharing her problems with Mittal Patel 

Allarkhabhai Dafer’s family lives in Shiyani village of Surendranagar District of Gujarat, since many years. From whatever he got from the village boundary, the boundary-keeper Allarakhabhai built his ‘home’ which we call ‘shanty’ in our words. The material to construct the house was twigs, sticks of cotton tree, sesame plants and some plastic sheet to make a roof. Some plastic banners discarded by Ad Agencies like Chitra become the roof for free for the house of this Dafer. People can see the advertisement on hoardings but who bothers to see his entire household beneath that ad?

VSSM fieldworker Harshad got tired running to get the Voter’s ID, Ration Card, Aadhar Card issued for these people. He also worked hard to open the bank accounts. “We don’t have that much money to deposit in the bank. Please drop the idea of opening a bank account”, said Allarakhabhai. 

Allarakhabhai was happy when he got his Ration card. He thought that he would get grains and food now but when he went to the government ration shop, he came to know that he was given the APL card which is a mark of prosperous and rich, Above Poverty Line people.

What do I do with this Kerosene? Earlier there was no light in my hamlet, now I can light a lamp in my hamlet by this Kerosene, otherwise there is no use of this card.”

You can see the plight in the photograph. If they get BPL or Antyoday Ration card, Allarakhabhai’s children can go to school instead of going to collect the cow dung cakes in the morning. 

Allarkhabhai had taken a loan of Rs. 10,000 in order to open the Tea Shop but his wife Aaisaben had some problem in uterus so those money he spent for her treatment. Their poverty is conspicuous but they don’t have the ‘MA’ Card or ‘Vatsalya Card’ to get the medical treatment for free.  

If he may be given the plot, he may built a house for him but if he doesn’t fit in the criteria of the government ‘Below Poverty Line’, he is not getting plot as well.

I was sitting with Aaisaben. She asked, “When will I get the house?” I did not have an answer…

Else, we can see their house and APL Ration cards in their hands…  

સુરેન્દ્રનગરના શિયાણીમાં વર્ષોથી અલ્લારખા #ડફેર નો પરિવાર રહે. સીમરખા અલ્લારખાને સીમમાંથી જે સંશાધનો મળ્યા એનાથી અમણે ઘર આપણી ભાષામાં કહીએ તો છાપરુ બનાવ્યું. કપાસની સાંઠી, તલના છોડના સાંઠીકડા એ ઘર બાંધવાનો સામાન ને એની ઉપર પ્લાસ્ટીક. ક્યારેક તો ચિત્રા કે એવી કોઈ જાહેરાતની એજન્સીએ ઉતારી કાઢેલા પ્લાસ્ટીક આ છપરાં માથે ઢંકાય ને સાવ મફતમાં જે તે કંપનીની જાહેરાત ડફેરનું છાપરુ કરે. જો કે આ જાહેરાત આભમાં ઉડવાવાળાને જ દેખાય. બાકી એમના છાપરે કોને કામ હોય તે જાય?

#મતદારકાર્ડ, #રેશનકાર્ડ, #આધારકાર્ડ અને બેકમાં ખાતા #VSSM ના કાર્યકર હર્ષદ થકી થયા. 

‘અમાર પાહે એવા પૈસા ક્યાં સે તે બેકમાં મુકવા જાઉં પડે. રેવા દયોને ખાતા ખોલાવાનું.’ એવું અલ્લારખાભાઈએ કહેલું. 

રેશનકાર્ડ મળ્યું ત્યારે રાજી થઈ ગયેલા. હતું કે હવે #અનાજ મળવાનું. પણ જ્યારે દુકાને ગ્યા ત્યારે ખ્યાલ આવ્યો કે, સરકારની સુખી લોકોની પરિભાષામાં તેમનો સમાવેશ થયો છે એટલે એપીએલ રેશનકાર્ડ મળ્યા છે.

‘બેન નકરુ ઘાસતેલ મળે ઈને હું ધોઈ પીવાનું. હા અમાર ડંગામાં પેલા લાઈટ નોતી તે હવે આ ઘાસતેલથી દીવો તો જગાવી હકાય સે. બાકી આ કેડ કાંય કામનું નથ..’

ફોટોમાં સ્થિતિ તો જોઈ જ શકાય છે. બી.પી.એલ. કે #અંત્યોદય રેશનકાર્ડ મળે તો અલ્લારખાભાઈના ટાબરિયા સીમમાં સવારથી છાણ વિણવા નીકળી જાય છે એની જગ્યાએ નિશાળ જવાનું કરે. 

દસ હજારની #લોન ચાની લારી કરવા અલ્લારખાએ લીધી પણ પત્ની આઈસાબેનને ગર્ભાશયની તકલીફ થઈ તે બધા પૈસા એમાં ખર્ચાઈ ગ્યા. ગરીબી તો નજરે ચડે છે પણ એમની પાસે ક્યાં ‘મા’ કાર્ડ કે ‘વાત્સલ્ય’ કાર્ડ હતા તે મફતમાં સારવાર થાય...

રહેવા પ્લોટ મળે તો ઘર બાંધી આપીશું. પણ જુઓને સરકારે જાહેર કરેલી ગરીબી રેખા નીચે આમનો સમાવેશ નથી તે એનોય મેળ પડતો નથી..

"Promise me you will quit taking tobacco!”

“You do so much for us, how will the poor like us ever repay!!

The moment Albelabhai Saraniyaa uttered these words, I brought my hand forward and asked for my reward. “Promise me you will give up your habit of tobacco!”

“This is very tough promise you have asked for! It is difficult to function without tobacco, I feel weak without it. Ben, I wouldn’t be able to give it up just like that!!”

“I will not listen to these reasons, you will need to give it up!”

“Promise me that you shall give it up,” I asked as I stood there with my hand stretched for a commitment from Albelabhai.

Albelabhai stood there, smirking and confused watching my hand that contemplating on what next.

“Why think so much, you will have to promise. I am not taking this hand back without a commitment from you!” I insisted.

The entire settlement that was watching us got confused. “He cannot leave the addiction so easily. It will make him sick!” they said in chorus.

Finally, after almost five minutes Albelabhai barely touched my hand “I cannot promise but, shall try,” he said.

After a fortnight, I called Meera, Albelabhai’s wife to inquire about his half-hearted promise. “Ben, good you took this promise.  I have tried so hard to make him give up but, he never listened. He hasn’t stopped yet but, am sure he will quit this time.” Meeraben spoke with a hearty laughter. “The moment he picks up tobacco packet he stares at it and mentions your name…” she continued speaking and laughing at the same time.

Strange are these warm relationships with these communities. We cannot rob people, we cannot fight like this, what will people say about Mittal’s relatives, your actions can embarrass me!! Such nudges and sweet threats do make an impact and I am enjoying these moments to the core! Pray to Almighty that I always find strength to serve them….

Hamirbha has a heart of gold…..

“Benba, Jai Bhagwan!”

“How is everyone at our dear daughter’s home?”

“Every few days, Hamirbha calls up to inquire my wellbeing and begins his conversation with a ‘Jai Bhagwan’ and showers me with loads of blessings, if he happens to meet me in person.  During his calls, he makes numerous appeals for the wellbeing of the others, “Ben, please present XYZ before the police, fellow X is very ill, he has no money for treatment please find someone to support his treatment, please give Gulab a loan to buy a camel cart, he is very hard-working fellow I guarantee he will repay each and every penny of the loan!” Hamirbha advocates for each and every person who called him.

Hamirbha is a kind of human being who believes every individual is humble and good at heart hence, he advocates for all. When he recommends someone for a loan and if I raise my doubts on the repayment capacity he assures me saying, “He will repay for sure ben, you have my word for it. Also, not a single Dafer will ever default your money. You are our daughter and we all know we cannot keep daughter’s money!”

Hamirbha has unbelievable confidence in his tribe and till now that trust has never broken. “No one believes or trusts us, no one has chosen to stand by us but you have put tremendous faith in us, have made us human…” and he would just continue talking……

Yesterday they were in Ahmedabad, “Ben, this old couple has turned old yet the old age pension remains a distant dream. Please help us with this!” he said with a gentle laughter. I saw a white patch on his palms and asked if he has had tobacco…..and before I could complete the question, “Ben, look it is just some spot I assure we do not do anything that you wouldn’t approve!” and showed me both his palms.

This is the kind of affectionate relationship we share. Megha Ba was accompanying Hamirbha that day. “Megha Ba is such a modern name…..” and we all had a hearty laughter. “She wanted to see Ahmedabad, so I brought her along.”

And you know what, this 70 plus Hamirbha is very fond of dancing, he can easily defeat us… want to bet?

કીમ સે અમાર ભાણી બા ને ઘરના બધા?’

હમીરભા દર થોડા દિવસે ખબર અંતર પૂછવા ફોન કરે ને શરૃઆત જય ભગવાનથી કરે. રૃબરૃ મળે તો સૌથી પહેલાં માથે હાથ ફેરવે ને ઢગલો #આશિર્વાદ આપે. હંમેશાં ‘બેન ફલાણાને #પોલીસમાં હાજર કરાવી દયો ને, ફલાણો બહુ બીમાર સે ઈની કને ફદિયોય નથ દવા કીમ કરાવશે તે તમારાથી થાય ઈ મદદ કરો, ગુલાબને હાંઢિયા ગાડુ હાટુ લોન દયો ને ઈ મેનતુ સે એક એક પાઈ ભરી દે સે.’ જેટલા માણસો એમને ફોન કરે એ બધાની જ વકીલાત હમીરભા કરે.

આખી દુનિયાના માણસો નેકદીલ એવું હમીરભા માને. ને એટલે જ નિસંકોચ ને જરાય શંકા રાખ્યા વગર ભલામણ કરે. ઘણીવાર કોઈકને લોન આપવાની #વકિલાત કરે ત્યારે હું કહુ પણ ખરાં કે, એ નઈ ભરે તો? ત્યારે દૃઢ વિશ્વાસથી કહે, ‘ઈતો ભરી દેશે બેન મે જીભાન આલી સે ને અને અમારા #ડફેરનો એકેય બચ્ચો તમારો પૈસો નો રાખે. તમે અમારા દીકરી. ને દીકરીનું નો લેવાય એતો અમને હંધાયને ખબર પડે સે.’ 

કેવો અદભૂત વિશ્વાસ ને એ વિશ્વાસ આજ સુધી તૂટ્યો નથી. ‘અમારો ભરોષો કોણ કરે અમને કોણ રૃપિયો ધીરે બેન? પણ તમે અમને સુધાર્યા અમને મનેખ(માણસ) બનાયા...’

આવું તો કાંઈક કેટલુંય બસ બોલ્યા કરે.

‘ગઈ કાલે #અમદાવાદ આવ્યા, બેન ડોહો હોડી ઘૈઈઢા થ્યા પણ પેલું સરકારનું પેલશલ(પેન્શન) નઈ મળતું. તે ઈનું કાંક કરી દયો ન.’ એવું હસતા હસતા કહ્યું. મે કહ્યું હાથમાં સફેદ તમાકુ ઘસ્યા જેવું દેખાય છે તમાકુ ખાધુ છે? એકેય કામ નઈ કરુ તમારું જો તમાકુ.... વાક્ય પરુ થતા પહેલાં જ ‘આ જોઈલો બાપલા આતો ક્યાંકથી ધોળો ડાધો લાગી ગ્યો સે બાકી તમને ના ગમે એવું એકેય કામ નો કરુ.’ એમ કહીને હથેળી બતાવી...

આવો અદભૂત પ્રેમ હમીરભા ને અમારી વચ્ચે. કાલે મેઘા બા એમના પત્નીને લઈને હમીરભા અમદાવાદ આવ્યા હતા. મે કહ્યું, બાનું નામ મોર્ડન છે.. મેધા બા ને હમીર ભા બેય જોરથી હસી પડ્યા.. હા ઈને અમદાવાદ જોવું તું એટલે લઈ આયો તો...

સીતેર વટાવેલા હમીરભા નાચવાના જબરા શોખીન. તમને ને મનેય હરાવી દે.. સાચે... શરત લગાવવી હોય તો લગાડીએ...

The assembly elections in Gujarat are scheduled in December and VSSM has been striving to get the issues of nomadic and de-notified communities included in the election manifesto of both the leading political parties. The BJP invited VSSM to come and present the case on 6th November and it is with this regard that we, community leaders and VSSM, were at the residence of the Chief Minister of Gujarat. The meeting with the Chief Minister was followed by a meeting with Shri. Bhupendrasinh Yadav, MP and Party In-charge for Gujarat.  He patiently heard to what we had to say, what were the needs and

demands of each of these communities, asked for the approximate population of these communities. We will be sharing the rough figures with him in coming 3 days. VSSM has requested just one thing, to bring all the promises on manifesto and no oral commitments.  Once the promises are on paper the communities will decide for themselves whom should they vote for!!  They need to make an informed and the manifesto will help the communities understand what  their future leaders  will be doing for the larger good of such extremely poor communities.

મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રીના નિવાસ સ્થાને ગઈ કાલે વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓના આગેવાનો સાથે જવાનું થયું. વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓની માંગણીઓ આગામી ચૂંટણીને અનુલક્ષીને ચૂંટણી #ઢંઢેરામાં આવે તે માટે આપણે બંને પક્ષો સાથે વાત કરી રહ્યા છીએ. ગઈ કાલે #મુખ્યમંત્રીશ્રીને મળ્યા બાદ ચૂંટણી ઢંઢેરામાં આપણી માંગણીઓનો સમાવેશ થાય તે માટે ભાજપના #ગુજરાતના પ્રભારી અને સાંસદ ભુપેન્દ્રસીંહ યાદવને મળવાનું થયું તેમણે બહુ નિરાંતે આપણી વાત સાંભળી.

વિચરતી જાતિની વસતિની માહિતી તેમણે પુછી. અંદાજ કહ્યો ને જાડો આંકડો ત્રણેક દિવસમાં આપવા કહ્યું.

#વિચરતી જાતિઓ વતી આપણે એક જ વાત કહી કે, પક્ષના ચૂંટણી ઢંઢેરામાં તમે વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓ માટે શું કરવાનો છો તે જાહેર કરશો પછી જ આ સમુદાયના લોકો વિચારશે કે કોને મત આપવો. દરેક સમાજની જુદી માંગો વિષે તેમણે નિરાંતે સાંભળ્યું. મૌખિક કોઈ જ વચન નહીં જે પણ કહેવું હોય તે ચૂંટણી ઢંઢેરામાં જાહેર કરવા આપણે કહ્યું. જેથી આખો સમાજ તમે અમારા માટે શું કરશો તે જાણે...

Our Subhan, few months after her birth a tumor began developing near her naval. The tumor and Subhan continued to grow together. The doctors advised for a surgery to remove it but, Subhan’s parents had scarce financial resources to afford the surgery. They continued some traditional practices. Some advised to brand her tumor and the parents even followed the advice hoping the tumor will subside. Wonder how this little girl would have endured so much pain.

We happened to visit a Dafer settlement where Subhan lived with Bharatbhai Patel, a brilliant and sensitive photographer and our London based wellwisher. On his return, Bharatbhai shared with us the pictures he had captured. It was very evident that it was a hernia tumor on Subha’s belly. Rajkot based Dr. Nileshbhai Nimawat agreed to help Subhan’s parents and operate Subhan. It was a risky operation and her parents were afraid to take chances. It took numerous efforts, cajoling and firm words to convince them. Even after the removal of coconut sized tumor from her belly Subhan found it difficult to walk straight as she was not used to walking without the extra weight. The cost of the surgery remained nominal as the doctor just took medicine expenses from us.

Recently, I was in Bhojwa. “Ben, do you recognize her?” asked Subhan’s mother who had come to meet us. I was trying to recollect  and she lifted Subhan’s shirt to show me her flat belly. “This is Subhan. We got her operated. See, the tumor is gone!”

It was one of those moments when one experiences the pleasure of being of help to someone else. The parents were happy, the entire settlement was happy and we were happy!!

We are grateful to all those who helped us treat Subhan’s condition, our well-wishing donors, Dr. Nileshbhai Nimawat, Vimla who referred Dr. Nileshbhai to us…..

આ અમારી સુભાન. જનમ્યાના થોડા જ સમયમાં ડુંટી પર ગાંઠ થઈ. ને એ દિવસે દિવસે મોટી થતી ગઈ. #ડોક્ટરને બતાવ્યું. એમણે ઓપરેશન માટે કહ્યું પણ એ માટેના પૈસા સુભાનના મા- બાપ પાસે નહીં. #ઘરગથ્થુ ઉપચાર શરૃ કર્યું. કોઈએ કહ્યું, રસોડી છે ડામ આપો ઢીક થઈ જશે. મા- બાપનેય પોતાની #દીકરીના પેટ પર ડામ દેતા જીવ બળ્યો પણ આશય તો દીકરી ઠીક થઈ જાય એવો ને? એટલે ડામેય આપ્યા. નાનકડી સુભાને આ બધુ કેમ કરીને સહન કર્યું હશે...

#લંડન થી ભરતભાઈ આવ્યા ને સુભાન જ્યાં રહે તે વસાહતમાં #ડફેરોને મળવા ગયા. એમણે સુભાનને જોઈ અને એનો ફોટો પાડી અમને મોકલાવ્યો. ગાંઠ હર્નિયાની જોઈને જ ખબર પડી. ઓપરેશન માટે રાજકોટના ડોક્ટર નિલેશભાઈ નિમાવતે તૈયારી દર્શાવી. પણ મા- બાપને બીક લાગે. રખેને ઓપરેશન વખતે સુભાનને કાંઈક થઈ જાય તો. માંડ માંડ સમજાવ્યા ને થોડા ધમકાવ્યા ત્યારે જતા ઓપરેશન માટે રાજી થ્યા. ઓપરેશન જોખમી પણ રહ્યું. સુભાનના પેટ પરની નાળિયેર જેવડી ગાંઠ દુર થયા પછી થોડા દિવસ તો સુભાન સીધી ચાલીએ ના શકી. મૂળ તો ગાંઠના ભાર સાથે જ જીવવા ટેવાયેલીને એટલે....

ડોક્ટરે અમારી પાસેથી ફક્ત દવાનો ખર્ચ લીધોને સુભાન સાજી થઈ ગઈ. હમણાં ભોજવા જવાનું થયું ને સુભાનની મા એને લઈને આવી. બેન આને ઓળખી... હું વિચારતી હતી ત્યાં તો એની માએ એનો ડ્રેસ ઉપર કરીને ‘આ સુભાન એનું તમે ઓપરેશન કરાવી દીધુ તુ ને ઈ... જુઓ કેવું સરસ થઈ ગ્યું ઈનું પેટ...’ એમ કહ્યું.

હરખ કોઈના જીવનમાં કામ આવ્યાનો.... સુભાન, એના મા- બાપ ને આખી વસાહત રાજી. એ બધાય રાજી તો અમેય રાજી..

જેમની મદદથી સુભાનનું ઓપરેશન થયું તેવા અમારી સાથે સંકળાયેલા શુભેચ્છકો, ડો નિલેશ નિમાવતનો આભાર... વિમલા જેણે નિલેશભાઈને ચિંધ્યા એને પ્રેમ...

ગાંઠ થઈ હતી તે વેળાની સુભાનની હાલત #ઓપરેશન થયા પછીની ને હાલની ખુશખુશાલ સુભાન..

ખાલી સમજી શકાય તે માટે ફોટો એ સિવાય બીજા કોઈ આશય માટે નહીં....

“The #elections in #Gujarat are next year and you can sense it all around. The air is thick with #political #parties listing down their works and their plans at the gatherings they #organize. The parties cannot talk all of it within the four walls, they need to be heard hence, they organize rallies and gatherings. The party workers commit to #LPG connections, sponsoring #petrol expenses to the rally, organize an d sponsor transport to and from the rally etc. yet these gatherings hardly have any substantial presence. They also arrange chairs to give onlookers an #idea that the meeting was well attended (quite a revelation for me). If the images of scantily attended gatherings

are circulated on #social #media the political parties become restless and resort to roping in their star performers in these rallies. But, your convention was totally different from what we usually witness. Everyone has joined in spending their own money to reach the venue and they have been here without food for the entire day. This to us is the real story…” this was the impression shared by one of our journalist friends after he saw the vast presence of people #nomadic and #de-notified communities.

We never participate in any political rallies thus, we do not know how it works in such gatherings. But, the nomadic and de-notified communities decided to remain present in huge-huge numbers. “If no one hears us now we are prepared to go all the way to #Gandhinagar.”

‘Yes, we also exist, we also exist…’, they repeated until their throats went sore!!

Am happy for all those who joined… a strong alliance will definitely succeed in making us heard…

‘હા અમે પણ છીએ...’

એક #પત્રકાર મિત્રએ જનમેદની જોઈને રમૂજમાં કહ્યું, હાજરી વધુ દેખાય એટલે ખુરશીની વ્યવસ્થા. (આ પહેલીવાર જાણ્યુ.) ટૂંકમાં માણસો ભેગા કરવામાં પક્ષો ઊણા ઊતર્યા ને ખાલી સભા મંડપના ફોટો સોસીયલ મીડિયામાં વાઈરલ થાય ને પક્ષોને માનસીક તણાવ થાય. મોટા ધૂરંધરોને ચૂંટણી પ્રચારમાં ઊતારવા છતાંય જનમેદની પોતમેળે ભેગી ના થાય. પણ તમારા સંમેલનમાં સ્વખર્ચે લોકો આવ્યા ને આખો દિવસ ભૂખ્યા બેસી રહ્યા. અમારા માટે તો આ પણ સ્ટોરી છે...’

અમે રાજકીયપક્ષોની સભામાં જતા નથી. પત્રકાર મિત્રની આ બધી બાબતો અંગે કશું કહેવાનું પણ નથી. પણ હા વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓ અધધ કહી શકાય એટલી સંખ્યામાં પાલનપુરમાં આવી. ને ‘હજુ અમારુ કોઈ નઈ હોભળે તો ઠેઠ ગાંધીનગર ને દિલ્હી જવાની’ તૈયારી દાખવી.

ગળુ બેસી જાય ત્યાં સુધી સૌએ બોલ્યા કર્યું, ‘હા અમે પણ છીએ...’

આવનાર સૌ સ્વજનો માટે હરખ... મજબૂત સંગઠન આપણને સફળ બનાવશે તે વાત ચોક્કસ...

Vali Ma #Bajaniya, lives by the roadside near Viramgaum’s Handalpur cross-roads. Her abode is open to sky and her few belongings strewn across where she sits and sleeps near the roadside. Vali Ma is a #widow and physically challenged but she, has never received any assistance from any of the government schemes. Recently the efforts of #VSSM’s Kanubhai helped her obtain a ration card. However, a residential plot for which we have been trying since years, seems a distant dream!

Vali Ma has been staying on wasteland near this crossroads for years but the villagers have had some issues and made her leave the place hence, she now lives next to the road. She came all the way to Palanpur from Viramgaam she walks with her hands and that is what she did. “Can anyone think of giving my hands some rest, I have spent my entire life like so but a house remains out of reach.”

The people of #nomadic and de-notified communities have always believed that the government is their #guardian angel and will work to provide them better life since that has not happened these communities are now getting restless are asking #government to look at them, know that they also exist. They are sure the government will pay attention to their plight and struggle to #survive. Like Vali Ma, they are prepared to endure challenges to put their message across. If the government does not pay attention now, we will walk all the way to #Gandhinagar even with these hands but, will make them notice, ‘we also exist’.

Look how with great difficulty, Vali Ma reached the venue of the ‘We also Exist’ convention.

વિરમગામમાં હાંસલપુર ચોકડી પાસે આભનું ઓઢવાનું ને ધરતીનું પાથરણુ પાથરીને વાલીમા બજાણિયા રહે. વિધવા ને વિકલાંગ વાલી માને ના જડી વિધવા કે વિકલાંગ સહાય. રેશનકાર્ડેએ હમણાં VSSMના કાર્યકર કનુભાઈની મદદથી મળ્યું. બાકી પ્લોટ માટે તો વર્ષોની દોડાદોડી પણ તેનો અંત ના આવ્યો.

ચોકડી પાસેની ખરાબાની જગ્યામાં વર્ષોથી રેતા પણ હમણાં હમણાં ગામના લોકોને કાંઈક વાંધો પડ્યો તે ત્યાંથી કાઢી મુક્યા. હાલ તો રોડની બાજુમાં બે ચાર ગાભા ને ગોદડાં લઈને રહે છે.

અમે પણ છીએ કહેવા એ ઠેઠ વિરમગામથી પગે નહીં પણ હાથે ચાલીને આવ્યા. વાલી માં કે છે એમ ‘ભઈ સાબ હવે મારા હાથને વિશ્રોમ આલો. ઘર આલો. આખી જીંદગી ઓમ જતી રહી પણ ઘર નસીબ ના થ્યું.’

સરકાર અમારી માઈ- બાપ એવું માનનાર તમામ વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિના લોકો હવે સરકાર પાસે જઈને ‘અમે પણ છીએ’ અમારી સામે જુઓની વાત કરવા માંડ્યા છે. વાલીમા જેવી લગન વિચરતી જાતિઓને થઈ છે. એટલે સરકાર અમારી હોમુ તાકશે જ ઈમો બે મત નહીં. ન ના તાક તો ઠેઠ ગોંધીનગર પગે ને પગ ના હોય 

તો હાથે હેડીન જઈશું પણ હવે તો અમાર કઈ જ દેવું સક અમે સીએ...

સંમેલનમાં કેવી મુશ્કેલી વેઠીને વાલી માં પહોંચ્યા એ જાતે જ જુઓ...

We are Bhavaiyaa, the performers of the yore…

“The stage is where I belong. When I am performing the role of a king, the stage shrugs with excitement and the audience is left spellbound.  There would be repeated requests of ‘once-more.’ I have servants at my back and call. As a king, I would bestow in lacs. However, once the curtains fell, I had taken off the costumes… the reality was completely the opposite.”

This is an excerpt from the poem by Baldevbhai Bhavaiyaa. It beautifully narrates the realities and turbulences  the once celebrated Bhavaiyaa, experience today.

We were engaged in a conversation with this community when we causally asked Khodabhai, a performer who usually played the role of a women in the Bhavai acts, “Why do you wear just half wig, it would look more attractive it your wig covered your entire scalp?” Khodabhai had a very honest and upfront answer, “In the earlier days, we were rewarded very well for our art. After seven days of performances we took back lots of donations! These days no one likes to watch Bhavai, we are old but, continue to practice our traditional profession because that is all we know. We do not have land or other riches to fall back on.  We are left with no choice but to continue doing this. We know no one likes to see a half bald women but, a wig that covers the entire head is too expensive and if we spend money of costumes and cosmetics we will be left with nothing feed our families and self!

Can’t there be special incentives and support to promote and revive our art and make it more contemporary so that it appeals the current generations. These are the challenges the Bhavaiyaa face…

અમે ભવાયા...

રાજા બનીને જ્યારે સ્ટેજ પર આવું

ત્યારે સ્ટેજને ગજવી દેતો, ને પ્રેક્ષકોનું મન મોહી લેતો

વારે વારે વન્સમોર લેતો, દાસદાસીઓ ખમ્મા ખમ્મા કરતા

ને હું લાખોનું દાન દઈ દેતો

પણ પાત્ર પત્યા પછી વેશ ઉતારી ઘર ભણી જોતો.........

બળદેવભાઈ ભવાયાએ લખેલી આ કવિતામાં ભવાયા સમાજની વ્યથા છે.

ભવાઈમાં સ્ત્રી પાત્ર ભજવનાર ખોડ ભાઈને એમ જ પુછી લીધુ કે, માથામાં હંમેશાં અડધી વીગ કેમ પહેરો? પુરી પહેરો તો વધારે રૃડા લાગો. અમે તો અમસ્તા જ આ કહ્યું પણ #ચુંવાળિયાકોળીના ભવાયા ખોડભાઈએ એનો જવાબ આપ્યો,

‘તમારી વાત સાચી પણ ભવાઈ જોવી હવે કોઈને ગમતી નથી. અમારીએ ઉંમર થઈ બીજુ કશું આવડતું નથી ને કોઈ જમીન જાગીર છે નહીં. એટલે આના પર નભ્યા વગર છુટકોય નથી. પહેલાં સાત દિવસ ભવાઈ કર્યા પછી લોકો ઘણું દેતા પણ હવે એમ થતું નથી. માંડ માંડ ઘર જોગું નીકળે એમાં #શૃંગાર માટે વધારે પૈસા ફાળવવાનું અમને પોષાય નહીં. ને એટલે અડધી વીગ. ખબર છે ટાલવાળી સ્ત્રી જોવી કોઈને ગમે નહીં પણ આમાં વધારે પૈસા ખર્ચુ તો ઘેર શું આપુ?’

અમારી કલાને પ્રોત્સાહન ના મળે? #ભવાઈને નવા સ્વરૃપે સમાજ સમક્ષ મુકવામાં અમને મદદ ના મળે?

I am a Devipujak

I have spent my entire life working as manual labour or scavenging the trash for junk. The energy and zeal during my youth allowed me to wo
rk harder and dream bigger. But, the realities of the condition I live in haven’t changed much over the decades. Don’t I, look like sixty? Yet, I can’t access widow pension or pension for the elderly.  Why? Because, I don’t have enough proofs to prove my identity. Tell me, how do I obtain those proofs? Look at where I stay, this is government wasteland, for everyone else we have encroached upon government land so any day any one can ask us to move out. We have no choice but to keep roaming with our bundled belonging. This is how I have lived my entire life. Earlier I also had to care for my children and  had  be bundle them along!

These days, if I am feeling good I go out to beg for food, if I can’t walk that distance I just wait for some Samaritan to come and give me some food!! Or else spend the day just like that!!

Even the bigger and better dreams of the yore were never about a bungalow or luxury I just wanted a decent roof to protect myself and my children against the harshness of natural elements. Look at me my frail body now… unfortunately, there are no dreams now, not even frail ones!! I am eagerly waiting for the eventual and inevitable… want to

go away soon!!

હું દેવીપૂજક

#ભંગાર વીણવાનું ને જે મળે તે મજુરી આખી જિંદગી કરી. જુવાનીમાં કામેય ખુબ કર્યું ને સપનાંય મોટા જાય પણ ઘર ના થઈ શક્યું. દેખાવથી 60 થ્યાનું તો જણાય છે ને? તોય વૃદ્ધ પેન્શન કે વિધવા સહાય અમને ના જડે. પુરાવાની #રામાયણમાં જ તો!

જુઓન ઘર કેવું? ક્યાંથી બધુ ભેગું કરવું? #સરકારી ખરાબામાં, ના ના બધાની ભાષામાં અમે દબાણમાં રહીએ એટલે ગમે ત્યારે આવીને કાઢી મુકે તે આખી જીંદગી લબાચો ને ભેગા છોકરાં હાથે રખડતી રહી. 

હાલ તો તબીયત હારી હોય તો માંગવા જવું બાકી કોક ખવારી જાય તો ખાવું બાકી રામે રામ...

#બંગલાનું #સ્વપ્ન નહોતું પણ ટાઢ, તડકો ને #વરસાદ રોકાય એવું છાપરુ જ માંગ્યું તુ ને પણ એ ના મળ્યું.. હવે સપનાંય નથી આવતા ને દેહ પણ જુઓ મુઠ્ઠીમાં સમાય એવડો થઈ ગ્યો. હવે ઝટ અહીંથી છુટકારો થાય તો રામે રામ...

આવતો જનમ #વિચરતી જાતિમાં ના આલતો એવી દેવીને પુજનારી #દેવીપૂજક ‘મા’ ની પ્રાર્થના..

We are Saraniya, the knife sharpeners...

We are Saraniya, the knife sharpeners. The Saraan we use to sharpen the knives gives our community this name. Saraan is a machine we carry on our shoulders when work takes us from one village to another. The work we do involves skillful rubbing of our fingers with the sharpening wheel.  As a result, our fingerprints get erased. Even the biometric machines could not capture them when we applied for Aadhar UID.

The demand for our skill is gradually decreasing as not many use these traditional blades. Hence, we have started selling knives. But the police harass us on the pretext that we keep weapons. Sometimes they even take us to police station.  Have you heard of any Saraniyaa hurting someone with the knives they sharpen? There would not be a single case of something like this in entire country yet, the police never listen to this argument.

We would want the government to issue an identity card that mentions us as knives sellers.  We also want a ration card that enables us to obtain grains and our names included in BPL list. This is our demand to our government. The government is like a parent to us. It is natural we have certain expectations from our parents!!

સરાણ પર છરી ચપ્પુની ધાર કાઢનાર અમે #સરાણિયા. #સરાણ ખભે લઈને ગામે ગામ રઝળીએ.

ધાર કાઢી કાઢીને આંગળીઓની છાપય ધસાઈ ગઈ તે #આધારકાર્ડ માટે આંગળીની છાપેય નથી આવતી...

ચપ્પુની ધાર કાઢતા કાઢતા હવે ચપ્પા વેચવાના ચાલુ કર્યા. પણ #પોલીસ #હથિયાર રાખો છો એમ કહીને હેરાન કરે છે. ક્યારેક તો પકડીને લઈ જાય છે. અમે કહીએ સરાણ ને ચપ્પા સાથે સરાણિયાનો સદીઓનો નાતો. આ ચપ્પાથી ક્યારેય કોઈને માર્યોનો સરાણિયાનો એકેય દાખલો આખા દેશમાં ના જડે સાહેબ.. પણ અમારુ હાંભળે કોણ?

ચપ્પાની ધાર કાઢનારા અમને ચપ્પા વેચનારા તરીકેનું સરકારનું ઓળખપત્ર આપો ને સાથે, ઘર, અનાજ મળે એવું રેશનકાર્ડ, #બીપીએલયાદીમાં નામ ને ધંધા માટે નાની મદદ.. આ અમારી માંગ. #સરકાર અમારી માઈ-બાપ ઈની પાહે એટલો તો અધિકાર ખરો ન?
