“How is our family, what are they doing, how is their condition?” our respected Morari Bapu always calls up to inquire about the families VSSM works with when an emergency strikes. He is a saint, but of a different kind.
In 2011, Shri Morari Bapu with much compassion and sensitivity shared about the existence of the nomadic and de-notified communities in this world. The world woke up to the plight of one of the most excluded groups of our society.
The second wave of Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on all and the poor are doubly impacted. Respected Bapu sent Rs. 11 lacs to enable us to help these marginalised families.
The financial support VSSM has received from many of its well-wishers and friends enables VSSM is assisting families who are economically vulnerable and have had their bout with Covid, who are unable to go out and earn their living, whose businesses have suffered because of the lockdown and curfews. VSSM is providing ration kits to the families who were unable to step out for work and assisting with the treatment for Covid impacted who required hospitalisation or have had the subsequent black fungus infection.
Along with Respected Morari Bapu, we also have Respected Krishnakant Uncle, Indira Auntie, dear Kiritbhai Shah, dear Chainikaben – Vibhavbhai, Respected Shaliniben Mariwala, respected Mukundbhai and others helping us. The help we received will make us instrumental in bringing food and treatment to the people who need it the most.

આફતની ઘડીમાં 'આપણો બૃહદ પરિવાર શું કરે છે? એમની સ્થિતિ કેવી છે?'વગેરે જેવી ચિંતા સાથે પૂ. બાપુનો ફોન અચૂક આવે.. મૂળ એ સંત જ નોખા.
વિચરતી જાતિઓ માટે બાપુએ બહુ ભાવપૂર્વક 2011માં કથા કરેલી ને સમાજ સમક્ષ આ જાતિઓની સ્થિતિની વાત પહેલીવાર પહોંચી.
કોરોનાની બીજી લહેરમાં આફતમાં આવી પડેલાં આપણા વંચિત પરિવારોની મદદ માટે પૂ.બાપુએ ભાવથી 11 લાખ મોકલી આપ્યા.
બાપુ ઉપરાંત VSSM સાથે સંકળાયેલા અન્ય પ્રિયજનોની મદદથી, આફતમાં આવી પડેલા આપણા સ્વજનો કે જેમની આર્થિક સ્થિતિ નબળી છે અને તેમને કોરોના થયો છે. કમાવવા જઈ શકાય એવી સ્થિતિ નથી. જેમના ધંધા સાવ પડી ભાંગ્યા છે છેલ્લા મહિનાઓથી કમાવવાનું કરી શક્યા નથી. એ બધાને રાશન આપવાનું તેમજ કોરોના થયા બાદ જેમને દવાખાનામાં દાખલ થઈને સારવાર લેવી પડી છે, કાળી ફુગમાં જે સપડાયા છે તેવામાંથી ધ્યાને આવતા સ્વજનોને મદદ કરવાનું તેમને સાતા પહોંચાડવાનું અમે કરી રહ્યા છીએ.
આ કાર્યમાં પૂ.બાપુની સાથે આદરણીય ક્રિષ્ણકાંત અંકલ, ઈન્દિરા આંટી, પ્રિય કીરીટભાઈ શાહ, પ્રિય ચૈનીકાબે - વિભવભાઈ, આદરણીય શાલીનીબહેન મારીવાલા, આદરણીય મુકુંદભાઈ વગેરે પ્રિયજનો પણ મદદ કરી રહ્યા છે.. પ્રિયજનોની આ મદદથી ઘણા વ્યક્તિઓની સારવારમાં તો ઘણાના ઘરના ચૂલા સળગતા રાખવામાં અમે નિમિત્ત બની શક્યા છીએ..
