This year the Rain Gods decided to arrive a little late and that too with vengeance in some regions. Saurashtra experienced lot of destruction, while the shanties were washed away, the pucca homes remained flooded with waters for days. The ration stored in the houses was damaged. The poor couldn’t go out and earn their daily living.
With the support from respected Indira Mehta and Krishnakant Mehta, VSSM provided tarpaulins to 200 families in various villages so that they at least have a roof over their head. It also distributed ration kits to 500 families. We are immensely grateful to Uncle and Auntie for their continued support.
We pray to almighty that the families find strength to persevere and restore their lives.
આ મેધરાજા પહેલાં તો ઘણી વાટ જોવડાવી ને પછી અમાપ વરસ્યા ને સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં ભારે તબાહી થઈ.. કેટલાય માણસોના ઝૂંપડાં તૂટ્યા ને પાકા ઘરમાં રહેવાવાળાના ઘરો પાણીથી ભરાયા.
રાશનની સાથે સાથે ઘરમાં પડેલી ઘરવખરી પણ પાણીમાં પલળી અને ખરાબ થઈ. તો કેટલાક પરિવારો પાણી ભરાઈ જવાના કારણે કામે ન જઈ શક્યા ને તેમના ચૂલા ન સળગ્યા..
જે છાપરાં તણાયા કે તૂટ્યા તેઓ પોતાના ઝૂંપડાં ફરી બાંધી શકે તે માટે જુદા જુદા ગામોમાં રહેતા 200 પરિવારોને VSSM દ્વારા તારપોલીન આપવાનું તેમજ 500 પરિવારોને રાશન આપવાનું અમે આદરણીય ઈન્દિરા મહેતા તેમજ ક્રિષ્ણકાંત મહેતાની મદદથી કર્યું. આદરણીય અંકલ આન્ટીની લાગણી માટે આભારી છીએ.
સાથે માથે આવી પડેલી કુદરતી આપતીમાંથી સૌ ઝટ બેઠા થાય ધંધા રોજગાર તરફ વળે તે માટે સૌને હિંમત આપવા પ્રભુને પ્રાર્થના પણ..
