Located in Bhavnagar ‘Shishuvihar', founded by Gandhian Shri. Maanbhai Bhatt in 1939, is a pioneering voluntary organisation of Gujarat, working on child rights, education, health-hygiene and other social activities. Every year the organisation honours organisations and individuals doing remarkable work in the field of social development with the ‘Shri. Maanbhai Bhatt Nagrik Sanman’ award. On 11th Novemeber 2014, VSSM for its various development activities for the Nomadic and De-notified communities, was honoured with this award.
Such a privilege is a result of the extreme hard work of a strong and dedicated VSSM team and the unflinching support of its well-wishers. I am thankful to all of you for this unrelenting support. I am also extremely grateful to Shishuvihar for choosing us for such an honour.
One more gratifying moment on that day was receiving the honour from respected Shri. Morari Bapu, who in 2011 dedicated a Ramkatha for the Nomadic and De-notified communities and brought to light before the society the true plight of these communities.
શિશુવિહાર સંસ્થા ભાવનગર દ્વારા સમાજમાં વિવિધ ક્ષેત્રમાં કાર્યરત સંસ્થા અને કાર્યકરોને શ્રી માનભાઈ ભટ્ટ નાગરિક સન્માન દ્વારા સન્માનિત કરવામાં આવે છે. તા.૧૧ નવેમ્બર ૨૦૧૪ના રોજ શિશુવિહાર દ્વારા વિચરતા સમુદાયો સાથે થઇ રહેલાં આપણા કામોને બિરદાવતું શ્રષ્ઠ નાગરિક સન્માન vssmને આપવામાં આવ્યું... પૂજય મોરારીબાપુના હસ્તે આ સન્માન સ્વીકારવાનું અહોભાગ્ય મળ્યું...
વિચરતા સમુદાયોના કામોમાં મદદરૂપ થતાં અમારાં વહાલાં સ્વજનો અને આ તક વંચિત પરિવારો માટે દિવસ રાત ઝઝુમતાં સંસ્થાના કાર્યકરોની મહેનત અને શુભેચ્છાનું આ પરિણામ છે... આ તબક્કે આપ સૌનો આભાર વ્યક્ત કરું છું... અને શિશુવિહાર સંસ્થા જેમણે આ સન્માન અમને આપ્યું એના પ્રત્યે કૃતજ્ઞતા વ્યક્ત કરું છું.
પૂજય બાપુએ વર્ષ ૨૦૧૧માં વિચરતી જાતિ માટે રામકથા કરી અને સમગ્ર દુનિયાને આ સમુદાયોની વાસ્તવિક સ્થિતિનો ચિતાર આપ્યો એવા વહાલાં બાપુની આ સમુદાયોની પ્રત્યેની લાગણીને નતમસ્તક વંદન...
