Trees resonate the beauty of earth. As we feel happy seeing our own children grow , Mother Earth also feels happy seeing the trees flourishing  .

Being the cause of bringing a smile to someone’s face is, in my opinion, a very virtuous act. We are working to bring smiles to the faces of underprivileged families through various services. Similarly, we are working to make Mother Earth and other living beings happy by planting trees and working on water and environmental conservation.

In North Gujarat, water levels have reached a critical stage. Through water conservation efforts, we must work to make Mother Earth abundant with water, and for that, we should seek the mercy of the rain god by planting trees. Additionally, trees provide homes for many creatures. When they become homes for mute and speechless creatures, their lives are sustained, and all beings find happiness. This is also a blessing, and through their blessings, the welfare of the entire creation occurs.

This is why we believe in planting trees. We have planted 1.45 million trees in 240 village forests in North Gujarat, out of which more than 1.35 million are now flourishing.

In the uninhabited area of Banaskantha, we created Sanjiv Gramvan with the help of the village people and the esteemed Shri KrishnaKant Mehta and Smt. Indira Mehta. We are thankful to them. Today, more than 8,300 trees are flourishing in this village forest.

We request everyone to carry out such excellent work through village forests in your own villages to keep Mother Earth happy.

વૃક્ષ થકી જાણે ધરતીનું રૃપ દેખાય... 

જેમ પોતાના સંતાનોની પ્રગતિ જોઈને આપણે રાજી થઈએ એમ, રૃપાળા વૃક્ષોને લહેરાતા જોઈને મા ધરા રાજી થાય. 

કોઈના ચહેરા પર સ્મિત લાવવામાં નિમિત્ત બનવું મારા મતે ઘણું પુણ્યકાર્ય.

અમે તકવંચિત પરિવારોના ચહેરા પર સ્મિત લાવાવનું કાર્ય એમના માટે વિવિધ સેવાકાર્યો કરીને કરી રહ્યા છીએ.. મા ધરાની સાથે અન્ય જીવો પણ રાજી થાય એવું કાર્ય પાણી અને પર્યાવરણ- વૃક્ષ વાવી ઉછેરીને કરી રહ્યા છીએ.

ઉત્તર ગુજરાતમાં પાણીના તળ જોખમી સ્થિતિએ પહોંચ્યા છે. જળસંચયના કાર્યો થકી મા ધરાને પાણીદાર કરવા મથીએ અને એ માટે મેઘરાજાને મહેરબાન થવું ગમે એ માટે વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરીએ. વળી વૃક્ષો અનેક જીવોનું ઘર. મૂંગા, અબોલ જીવોના ઘર બને તો એમનો જીવ પણ સાતા પામે ને સૌ સુખી થાયના એ પણ આશી બોલ અને એમના આશીર્વાદથી સમગ્ર સૃષ્ટિનું કલ્યાણ થાય..

બસ આ વાત અમે માનીએ એટલે વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરીએ. અમે ઉત્તર ગુજરાતમાં 14.50 લાખ વૃક્ષો 240 ગ્રામવનમાં વાવ્યા. જેમાંથી 13.50 લાખથી વધારે આજે ઉછરી રહ્યા છે.

બનાસકાંઠાના અછવાડિયામાં સંજીવ ગ્રામવન અમે ગામલોકો અને આદરણીય ક્રિષ્ણકાંત મહેતા તેમજ ઈન્દિરા મહેતાની મદદથી બનાવ્યું. આપના અમે આભારી છીએ. આજે 8300 થી  વધારે વૃક્ષો આ ગ્રામવનમાં લહેરાઈ રહ્યા છે. તમારા ગામમાં આવા ગ્રામવનો થકી મા ધરાને રાજી રાખવાનું ઉત્તમ કાર્ય કરવા સૌને વિનંતી..

To harm someone is violence. In my view, such a broad definition of violence cannot be accepted. There are also subtle forms of violence that we engage in. For example, making someone homeless is also violence. In the last hundred to one hundred fifty years, we have taken away the homes of millions—perhaps billions—of animals and birds. We have cut down trees and stripped them of their shelter. In my opinion, this is a very significant form of violence.

Humanity continues to strip countless people of their shelter, while trees and forests are still being cut down. We must try to compensate for the damage humanity has done to nature. We are currently working to plant 1.25 million trees in 125 villages, with the help of friends associated with VSSM.

In the cremation ground of the Thakore community in Ludra, Banaskantha, we planted over 5,000 trees three years ago with the help of Astral Pipes and the respected Tusharbhai Shah. The planted trees are growing beautifully. There was a time when the question was where to sit during cremations, but now there is shade everywhere in the cremation ground. Countless lives have made this place their home. You can also carry out such initiatives in your village; this will please nature.

કોઈને મારવું એજ હિંસા.. મારા ખ્યાલથી હિંસાનો આવો સ્થૂળ અર્થ ન કરી શકાય. કેટલીક સૂક્ષ્મ હિંસા પણ આપણે કરીયે...

દા.ત. કોઈને બેઘર કરી દેવું એ પણ હિંસા. પાછલા સો દોઢસો વર્ષમાં આપણે લાખો - કરોડો પશુ પક્ષીઓના ઘર છીનવી લીધા. વૃક્ષો કાપી તેમનો આશરો છીનવી લીધો છે.. મારા મતે આ બહુ મોટી હિંસા....

માનવજાત અસંખ્ય લોકોનો આશરો છીનવીને પણ ક્યાં અટકી હજુ વૃક્ષો- જંગલો કપાઈ જ રહ્યા છે. માનવજાતે પ્રકૃતિનું જે નુકશાન કર્યું તેને સરભર કરવા અમે કોશીશ કરીએ. 12.50 લાખ વૃક્ષો 125 ગ્રામવનોમાં વાવી ઉછેરવાનું કરી રહ્યા છીએ. એમાં VSSM સાથે સંકળાયેલા સ્વજનો મદદ કરે.

બનાસકાંઠાનું લુદ્રા - ઠાકોર સમાજની સ્મશાન ભૂમિમાં અમે 5000 થી વધારે વૃક્ષો એસ્ટ્રલ પાઈપ અને આદરણીય તુષારભાઈ શાહની મદદથી ત્રણેક વર્ષ પહેલા વાવ્યા. 

વાવેલા વૃક્ષો એકદમ સરસ ઉછરી રહ્યા છે.  એક સમય હતો સ્મશાનમાં મૃતદેહના અગ્નિ સંસ્કાર થતા હોય એ વખતે ક્યાં બેસવું એ સવાલ હતો આજે સ્મશાનમાં છાંયડો જ છાંયડો. અસંખ્ય જીવો સ્મશાનમાં પોતાનું ઘર બનાવ્યું. તમારા ગામમાં પણ તમે આવા કાર્યો કરી શકો.. એનાથી પ્રકૃતિ રાજી થશે...

VSSM Coordinator Naranbhai received the Van Pandit Award
from the Chief Minister of Gujarat

Naran... When he was small, he was called Naran, but now, as he has grown in experience and age, he is referred to as Naranbhai.

He completed his education and joined VSSM as a Bal Dost (child friend). At that time, VSSM was working on a small scale. In many settlements of nomadic communities, not a single child was attending school. Naran started his work as a Bal Dost in the Mira settlement in Diyodar.

His dedication to work is remarkable. Without limiting himself to Diyodar, he took on the responsibilities of working with nomadic communities throughout Banaskantha. A true team leader inspires others to rise alongside him. Gradually, Naranbhai established a strong team in Banaskantha that could diligently carry out the organization’s work. He continuously keeps this team united and active.

Alongside addressing the primary issues of nomadic communities, we also started water management projects and tree planting initiatives in North Gujarat. Naranbhai became the leader of these efforts.

Today, we have successfully planted over 1.2 million trees and deepened 300 ponds, all thanks to the entire team's efforts. However, the main responsibility was taken up by him.

This year, Naranbhai received the Van Pandit Award from the Chief Minister. It was a truly proud moment. Just like a peacock always dances with its feathers... VSSM shines through its workers, and such events bring honor.

Receiving recognition as a caretaker and maintainer of forests, we all felt grateful.

We wish Naranbhai continued success in life and hope he prepares a strong team at VSSM like himself... and may he receive many more awards like this one.

Naranbhai’s progress is significantly supported by the local team at VSSM, but the biggest contribution comes from his wife, Nayna, and their two children. They dedicated their time to Naranbhai, allowing this wonderful work for the livelihood of beings to happen. We are indebted to Naranbhai’s family.

Thank you, honorable Chief Minister, for recognizing a true gem... and best wishes for even greater achievements ahead.

નારણ... નાનકડો હતો એટલે નારણ કહેતી પણ હવે એ કામમાં, અનુભવમાં ને ઉંમર બેયમાં મોટો થયો એટલે નારણભાઈ...

ભણવાનું પુરુ થયું ને VSSM માં બાલદોસ્ત તરીકે જોડાયો. ત્યારે VSSM નાના પાયે કામ કરે. વિચરતી જાતિઓની ઘણી વસાહતોમાંથી એક પણ બાળક નિશાળમાં ન જાય. આવી જ  દિયોદરમાં આવેલી મીર વસાહતમાં બાલદોસ્ત તરીકે એણે કાર્ય શરૃ કર્યું.

પણ કામ માટેની એની નિષ્ઠા ગજબ. દિયોદર પુરતી પોતાની જાતને સમિતિ ન રાખતા સમગ્ર બનાસકાંઠામાં વિચરતી જાતિઓના કાર્યો સંભાળ્યા.

સાચો ટીમ લીડર પોતાની સાથે અન્યોને પણ ઊભા કરે.  નારણ પણ ધીમે ધીમે નારણભાઈ થયો પોતાની સાથે સંસ્થાના કાર્યો નિષ્ઠાથી કરી શકે તેવી મજબૂત ટીમ બનાસકાંઠામાં ઊભી કરી. આ ટીમને એક તાંતણે બાંધી રાખી, તેને સતત દોડતી રાખવાનું કામ સતત કરે. 

વિચરતી જાતિઓના પ્રાથમિક પ્રશ્નોની સાથે સાથે ઉત્તર ગુજરાતમાં અમે જળ વ્યવસ્થાપનના કાર્યો અને વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરવાનું શરૃ કર્યું.. નારણભાઈ આ કાર્યોનો આગેવાન થયો. 

આજે 12 લાખથી વધુ વૃક્ષો અને 300 તળાવો અમે ઊંડા કરી શક્યા. આમાં ટીમના તમામ કાર્યકરનો શ્રેય. પણ મુખ્ય જવાબદારી તો એણે ઉપાડી...

આવા અમારા નારણભાઈને મુખ્યમંત્રીના હસ્તે આ વર્ષનો વન પંડિત એવોર્ડ મળ્યો.. રાજી થવાય એવી જ ઘટના... મોર સદાય એના પીંછાથી રળિયામણો...VSSM પણ કાર્યકરોથી ઊજળું ને આવી ઘટનાઓ તો ગૌરવ આપે.

વન પંડિત - વનોનો રખેવાળ- વનોની જાળવણી કરનાર તરીકેનું સન્માન નારણભાઈને મળતા અમે સૌ ધન્યતા અનુભવીયે..

નારણભાઈને જીવનમાં આગળ વધવા ને પોતાની જેમ VSSM ની મોસમોટી ફોજ તૈયાર કરે તેવી શુભેચ્છા.... ને આવા અનેક પારિતોષિક પ્રાપ્ત કરે તેવી શુભકામના...

The branches of a tree, with its thousand hands, worship God and call upon Him. When God recognizes its qualities of selflessness, He blesses it in the form of rain clouds. Through the tree, wonderful acts are performed, such as providing shelter to countless lives and bearing fruits to satisfy many hunger.

Who wouldn’t want to establish such trees that are worthy of being called true saints? Let’s make sure they are welcomed in every village, and the villages enthusiastically join this effort.

Kuwata, a delightful village in Banaskantha, invited us to plant trees in their cemetery. We asked the villagers to promise to care for the trees we plant, and they committed, with water in their hands and in the presence of Mahadev, to nurture as many trees as would be planted.

This year, with the blessings of the rain god, we planted 4,366 trees in the Kuwata cemetery, with the help of Fine Jewelry. Honorable Prembhai and his entire family are tree lovers. Last year, they helped plant 7,000 trees in Raviayana village, and those trees are also thriving beautifully.

If each industry group helps establish small gramvans like this, the earth can become green again.

We decided to hold a tree worship program in Kuwata, and the entire Fine Jewelry team came from Mumbai to participate in this event. The warm welcome from the villagers made the whole team happy and showed them who supports all these initiatives.

We are grateful to Fine Jewelry for their help in planting and nurturing trees. The proverb "drop by drop, the lake fills; pebble by pebble, the dam is built" is being realized by VSSM. Currently, 1.25 million trees are thriving in 225 gramvans, and the credit for this goes to Fine Jewelry and other supporters.

The opportunity to repay Mother Earth’s debt comes through water and environmental work.

Let’s come together and engage in even more intensive efforts!

વૃક્ષની ડાળીઓ એના હજાર હાથથી ઈશ્વરની આરાધના કરે, એને બોલાવે. એના પરોપકારના ગુણને ઈશ્વર સમજે એટલે જ એના પર મેઘરૃપી મહેર કરે. હજારો જીવોને આશરો આપવાનું, અનેકોની ભૂખ ભાંગવા ફળ આપવાનું વગેરે જેવા ઉત્તમ કાર્ય વૃક્ષ થકી થાય...

સાચા સંતનું બિરુદ જેને આપી શકાય એવા આપણા વૃક્ષોનું સ્થાપન કરવું કોને ન ગમે? અમે દરેક ગામમાં એની પધરામણી થાય એવું કરીએ. ગામ પણ ઉત્સાહથી આ કાર્યમાં જોડાય. 

બનાસકાંઠાનું કુવાતા મજાનું ગામ. ગામે અમને સ્મશાન ભૂમિમાં વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરવા આમંત્રણ આપ્યું. અમે ગ્રામજનોને વાવેલા વૃક્ષો બરાબર ઉછેરવાનું વચન આપવા કહેલું ને એમણે હાથમાં જળ લઈને સ્મશાનમાં મહાદેવની સાક્ષીએ જેટલા વૃક્ષો વવાશે એનું બરાબર જતન કરીશુંનું વચન આપેલું.

આ વર્ષે મેધરાજાએ મહેર કરીને અમે કુવાતાના સ્મશાનમાં 4366 વૃક્ષો વાવ્યા. આ કાર્યમાં મદદ કરી ફાઈન જ્વેલરીએ. આદરણીય પ્રેમભાઈ અને તેમનો આખો પરિવાર વૃક્ષ પ્રેમી. એમણે ગત વર્ષે પણ રવિયાણા ગામમાં  7000 વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરવામાં મદદ કરી. એ ગ્રામવનના વૃક્ષો પણ સરસ ઉછરી રહ્યા છે.

એક એક ઉદ્યોગ જુથ આ પ્રમાણે નાના નાના ગ્રામવનો ઊભા કરવામાં મદદ કરે તો ધરતી પાછી હરિયાળી થઈ જાય.

કુવાતામાં વૃક્ષપૂજન કાર્યક્રમ કરવાનું નક્કી કર્યું ને ફાઈન જવેલરીની આખી ટીમ મુંબઈથી ખાસ આ કાર્યક્રમમાં ભાગ લેવા આવી. ગામલોકોએ જે આવકારો આપ્યો એનાથી આખી ટીમ રાજી ને ગામને પણ આ બધા કાર્યોમાં કોણ મદદ કરે તેનો ખ્યાલ આવ્યો.

ફાઈન જવેલરીએ વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરવામાં મદદ કરી એ માટે એમના આભારી છીએ.. પેલું ટીપે ટીપે સરોવર ભરાય, કાંકરે કાંકરે પાળ બંધાય એ કહેવતનો અનુભવ VSSM ને થઈ રહ્યો છે. હાલ 12.50 લાખ વૃક્ષો 225 ગ્રામવનોમાં ઉછરી રહ્યા છે... ને એ બધાનો શ્રેય ફાઈન જ્વેલરી જેવા અન્ય સ્વજનોને જાય છે..

ધરતીમાનું ઋણ ચુકવવાનો અવસર પાણી અને પર્યાવરણ ના કામો થકી મળે.

What happened to you today did they start giving thanks like this?

I would say thank you darshan fun process to do everyday. Thanksgiving opens the heart, opens and understands everything with empathy. So thanking is also open to me.

We plant trees by worshiping. Banaskantha's Ravidham and there cowshed. 20,000 trees planted in the land of cowshed with the help of Parikh Foundation - Mumbai. The leaders of the village were specially present during the tree worship. And also talked about planting more trees.

Several lands of Dhanera taluka were rented by solar companies. Many trees were cut in this circumstances, it is also necessary to balance the environment by planting the cut trees.

Ravidham is awake.. We wish you all come forward in the matter of planting trees and growing..

હે ઈશ્વર તે ખુબ સુંદર જીવન આપ્યું એ માટે તારી આભારી છું. હે વૃક્ષ તુ અમને પ્રાણવાયુ આપી જીવાડે, ફળ, ફૂલ, છાંયડો વગેરે જેવું કાંઈ કેટલુંયે આપે. આમ તો જન્મ થી લઈને મરણ સુધી તુ અમારી સાથે રહે ને અમારી ઘણી જરૃરિયાત તુ સંતોષે માટે તારો આભાર માનુ છું.

તમને થશે આજે થયું છે શું તે આમ આભાર માનવા માંડ્યા? 

હું કહીશ આભાર દર્શન મજાની પ્રક્રિયા રોજે રોજ એ કરવા જેવી. આભાર માનવાથી હૃદય ખુલ્લુ, મોકળુ બને અને એ સંવેદનાથી દરેક વાતને સમજે. એટલે આભાર માનવો એ પણ ખુલ્લા મને. 

આમ તો આપણા જીવનમાં અસંખ્ય લોકો, જીવોએ પોતાની રીતે નાનકડી ભૂમિકા ભજવી. આ બધાનો આભાર માનીયે. પણ પાણી અને વૃક્ષ એ બેયનો આભાર હું માતા પિતા પછી તુરત માનીશ. નિસ્વાર્થભાવે એ આપણને જીવાડે.. 

અમે જલમંદિરોનો જીર્ણોદ્ધાર કરી પાણી પ્રત્યે આભાર- કૃતજ્ઞતાભાવ વ્યક્ત કરીએ. જ્યારે વૃક્ષો વાવી વૃક્ષદેવ પ્રત્યે આભાર દર્શન..

આ વર્ષે 3.5 લાખ વૃક્ષો વાવ્યા. આમ 2019 થી લઈને અત્યાર સુધીમાં વાવેલામાંથી 12.50 લાખ વૃક્ષો અત્યારે ઉછરી રહ્યા છે.

અમે પુજન કરીને વૃક્ષો વાવીએ. બનાસકાંઠાનું રવીધામ ને ત્યાંની ગૌશાળા. ગૌશાળાની જમીનમાં 20,000 વૃક્ષો પરીખ ફાઉન્ડેશન -મુંબઈની મદદથી વાવ્યા. ગામના આગેવાનો વૃક્ષપૂજન વખતે ખાસ હાજર રહ્યા. અને વધારે વૃક્ષો વાવવા અંગે વાતો પણ કરી. 

ધાનેરા તાલુકાની ઘણી જમીન સોલાર કંપનીઓએ ભાડેથી લીધી. એમાં ખુબ વૃક્ષો કપાયા આવા સંજોગોમાં કપાયેલા વૃક્ષો વાવી વાતાવરણને સમતુલીત કરવું પણ જરૃરી.. 

રવિધામ તો જાગ્યું.. તમે સૌ પણ વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરવાની બાબતમાં આગળ આવો તેમ ઈચ્છીએ..

Today we planted breaths.. You might wonder, can breaths be planted again? And we say yes, they can be planted, provided there is a sentiment in the heart.. Today, in Khanpur village of Dehgam in Gandhinagar, we came together with the whole village to plant breaths, not just with a few people.

The village invited us to create a village forest in the village grazing land. We gladly accepted. Dr. Nitin Sumant Shah from the Heart Foundation and Research Institute came to help plant 4,900 trees. The residents of Khanpur also participated. VSSM led the initiative, the Forest Department provided the trees, and with collective efforts, a beautiful task was accomplished.

We consider trees as gods and where they are planted as a tree temple. Before a deity is enshrined in any temple, a ceremonial procession takes place. Today, before enshrining the trees in our Pratiksha Gramvan, we held a procession in which the MLA of Dehgam, the Collector, Nitinbhai Shah, and the entire village joined. With much fanfare, the procession of the tree gods reached the tree temple... 51 couples from the village, children, and others participated in the ceremonial planting of the trees.

આજે અમે શ્વાસ વાવ્યા..

તમને થશે શ્વાસ ને તે વળી વવાય?

ને અમે કહીએ હા વવાય, બસ મનમાં ભાવના હોવી જોઈએ..

અમે આજે ગાંધીનગરના દેહગામના ખાનપુરગામે એકલ દોકલ માણસો સાથે નહીં પણ આખા ગામ સાથે ભેગા મળી શ્વાસ વાવ્યા.

ગામે અમને ગામની ગૌચર જમીનમાં ગ્રામવન બનાવવા આમંત્રણ આપ્યું. અમારે તો ભાવતુ તુ ને વૈદે કીધા જેવું થ્યું.

4900 વૃક્ષો વાવવા મદદે આવ્યા ડો. નિતીન સુમંત શાહ - હાર્ટ ફાઉન્ડેશન એન્ડ રીસર્ચ ઈન્સ્ટીટ્યુટ. ખાનપુર નિવાસીઓએ પણ ભાગીદારી નોંધાવી. VSSM એ આમાં આગેવાની લીધી, વન વિભાગે વૃક્ષો આપ્યા ને સહિયારા પ્રયાસથી સુંદર કાર્ય પાર પડ્યું.

અમે વૃક્ષને દેવ કહીએ ને જ્યાં એનું સ્થાપન કર્યું તે વૃક્ષમંદિર. કોઈ પણ મંદિરમાં દેવ બિરાજમાન થાય એ પહેલા એની શોભાયાત્રા નીકળી. આજે અમે પણ અમારા પ્રતિક્ષા ગ્રામવનમાં વૃક્ષનું સ્થાપન કરતા પહેલા તેની શોભાયાત્રા કાઢી ને એમાં દેહગામના ધારાસભ્ય શ્રી, કલેક્ટર શ્રી,નિતીભાઈ શાહ સહિત આખુ ગામ જોડાયું. વાજતે ગાજતે વૃક્ષ દેવની શોભાયાત્રા પહોંચી વૃક્ષમંદિરમાં... ગામના 51 દંપતીઓ તેમજ બાળકો ને અન્ય સૌએ મળીને વૃક્ષોનું સ્થાપન એ પણ પુજન સાથે કર્યું. 

આદરણીય નિતીનભાઈએ તેમના પત્ની પ્રતિક્ષાબેનને ભાવી પેઢી યાદ રાખે તેવી ઉત્તમ ભેટ પ્રતિક્ષા ગ્રામવન બનાવીને આપી. તેમની મદદથી VSSMમાં અનેક કામો થઈ રહ્યા છે.. તેમનું સાથે હોવું એ મોટી વાત. અમે એમના આભારી છીએ... 

ખાનપુર નિવાસીઓ માટે આ અનેરો ઉત્સવ હતો એટલે મુંબઈ, અમદાવાદમાં રહેતા ખાનપુર નિવાસીઓ ખાસ કાર્યક્રમમાં ભાગ લેવા આવ્યા. આવો ઉત્સાહ દરેક ગામોમાં ઊભો થાય એ જરૃરી.

ધારાસભ્ય શ્રી બલરાજસિંહજી, કલેક્ટર શ્રી મેહુલ દવે, પ્રાંત કલેક્ટર શ્રી, આદરણીય ભગવાનદાસ પંચાલ, વન વિભાગના અધિકારીઓ,  હીતેન્દ્રભાઈ પટેલ, સરપંચ શ્રી, તાલુકા પંચાયતના સદસ્ય શ્રી તેમજ સમગ્ર ગ્રામજનો આ કાર્યક્રમમાં હાજર રહ્યા. આપ સૌના અમે આભારી છીએ.. 

વૃક્ષો વાવી તે બરાબર ઉછરે તે માટે મથતી અમારી ટીમ તોહીદભાઈ, મહેશભાઈ, પ્રવિણભાઈ, કલ્પેશભાઈ ને સમગ્ર VSSM ટીમની કટીબદ્ધતાને પ્રણામ. ટીમની રાતદિવસની મહેનતથી આ બધુ શક્ય બને આવી મજબૂત ટીમ સાથે હોવાનું ગર્વ..

અમે ગામની ભાગીદારીથી વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરવાનું કરીએ.  ખાનપુર નિવાસીઓ આ બાબતને યોગ્ય રીતે સમજ્યા એટલે એમણે વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરવા માટે માતબર રકમ અનુદાન પેટે એકત્રીત કરી. સહભાગીતા નોંધાવવામાં ખાનપુરગામ એકદમ નોખુ. 

શ્વાસરોપણ કાર્યક્રમમાં ગ્રામજનોએ પ્રતિક્ષા ગ્રામવન માટે આપેલી જગ્યા સિવાયની બીજી વીસ વીઘા ગૌચર જમીન વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરવા આપવાનું પણ વચન આપ્યું..

વૃક્ષો માટે આવી લાગણી રાખનાર આદરણીય નિતીનભાઈ તેમજ ખાનપુર નિવાસીઓને સલામ...

"20 Students who studied under the trees planted by you have got government jobs' '.

I was pleasantly shocked to hear this from Shri Prahaladbhai in Juna Deesa in Banaskantha District.. Never realised that there would be such an unintentional benefit of planting the trees. The trees were planted primarily for  greenery & birds/animals.

It reminded me of  Rabindranath Tagore's Shantiniketan. Today we complain about inadequate facilities in the classroom. In the days gone by there was no classroom and students used to study under the trees and shine in their careers. Many such students grew to occupy some of the most important positions in the country. The trees in Ramdevpirji Temple in Juna Deesa reminded me of this.  We plant trees in large numbers and  call them "Gramvan" ( Village Forest) . Now we can change the name & call them " Natura's library"

The students studying under the trees would also take care of  the trees. We need to have such nature's library in every village so that every student can study peacefully underneath a tree.

We have created 166 forests.  In the Juna Deesa , Rosy Blue India Pvt  Ltd helped us in creating one. The villagers of Juna Deesa and devotees of Ramdevpirji helped us in this. The local government gave us water facility.  Our caretaker Shri Rameshbhai Nat takes care of the trees like a mother. Thus with the support of various people , the trees are  growing well. 

Till now we have planted 8.50 lakhs trees, This year our target is 10 lakh trees which we will definitely achieve.

We are thankful to all our well-wishers who helped us in this mission.

બનાસકાંઠાના જુના ડીસાના પ્રહલાદભાઈની આ વાત સાંભળી હું અવાક થઈ ગઈ. અમે વૃક્ષો પશુ પક્ષીઓને આશરો મળે ને પ્રકૃતિ રાજી થાય તે માટે વાવી ઉછેરેલા પણ એનો આવો સરસ ઉપયોગ થશે એવી આશા નહોતી. 

રવીન્દ્રનાથ ટાગોરનું શાંતિનિકેતન યાદ આવ્યું. આજે નિશાળમાં ઓરડો નથી એ વાતે કાગારોળ થાય પણ એક સમયે અભાવમાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ભણતા ને પોતાની પ્રતિભા ઝળકાવતા. લીમડા નીચે ભણીને કેટલાય વિદ્યાર્થીઓ દેશના સર્વોચ્ચ ગણાય તેવા ક્ષેત્રોમાં ઉચ્ચ હોદ્દા પર કામ કરી રહ્યા છે. જૂના ડીસાના રામદેવપીરજીના મંદિરમાં ઉછેરી રહેલા 2500 વૃક્ષો જોઈને આ બધી વાતો યાદ આવી.

આમ તો અમે જથ્થામાં વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરીયે એને ગ્રામવન કહીએ પણ હવે નામમાં જરા ફેરફાર કરી પ્રાકૃત લાયબ્રેરી પણ કહી શકાય. 

વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ભણતા ભણતા વૃક્ષોને પણ સાચવે. ગામે ગામ આ પ્રકારે વિદ્યાર્થીઓ નિરાંતે વાંચી શકે તે માટે પ્રાકૃત લાયબ્રેરીનો વિચાર અમલમાં મુકવા જેવો ખરો.

અમે 166 ગ્રામવન કર્યા. જૂના ડીસાનું આ ગ્રામવન કરવા રોઝી બ્લુ ઈન્ડીયા પ્રા.લી. કંપનીએ મદદ કરી. જુનાડીસાના ગ્રામજનો અને ભગવાન રામદેવપીરના ભક્તો પણ આમાં મદદરૃપ થાય. પંચાયત પાણીની સુવિધા આપે. અમારા વૃક્ષમિત્ર રમેશભાઈ નટ આ વૃક્ષોની માની જેમ કાળજી કરે. આમ સૌના સહિયારા પ્રયાસથી વૃક્ષો સરસ ઉછરી રહ્યા છે. 

હાલ અમે 8.50 લાખથી વધારે વૃક્ષો ઉછરી રહ્યા છીએ. આ વર્ષે 1 મીલીયન વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરવાનો અમારો લક્ષાંક પૂર્ણ કરીશું... 

આ કાર્યમાં મદદરૃપ થતા સૌ સ્વજનોના અમે આભારી છીએ...

Just read the book written by respected Shri Dhruvdada (Bhatt). The story is fictional. The story is about how the man had to leave the polluted earth and was forced to live elsewhere. However, in reality we don't have an option to go to another planet. We do not have a choice but to stay on this earth. Therefore we do not have a choice but to keep the earth clean & beautiful. We may survive but what about our next generation?

In an effort to provide a clean environment to the next generation, we started planting trees.

In Jaswantpura village in Patan planted 4000 trees in the village graveyard and cemetery with the help of Anuhpharma. Thank you Anuhfarma &  Respected Bipinbhai and family.. We will take care of these trees for three years.

Our campaign of tree plantation has now started in Patan.

The village sarpanch himself took the initiative and invited us to plant the trees and take care of the trees. He saw the trees raised by us in the Shia of Banaskantha and the cemetery of Totanagam and invited us to do similar work in his village as well.We planted nice trees. This type of work has to be done continuously. We cannot be complacent. Like we regularly eat, walk similarly we environmental work also have to be done regularly. We just have to steadfastly keep ourselves committed to the task.

 આદરણીય ધ્રુવદાદા (ધ્રુવભટ્ટ) લીખીત ન ઈતિ પુસ્તક હમણાં વાચ્યું. પુસ્તકમાં વાત કાલ્પનીક છે. પણ એ કલ્પનામાં પૃથ્વી આપણે એટલી હદે પ્રદુષીત કરી કે પછી માણસે પૃથ્વી છોડી અન્ય જગ્યાએ રહેવા જવા મજબૂર થવું પડ્યું. દાદાએ કલ્પના કરી પણ હકીકતમાં અન્ય ગ્રહ પર કે અન્ય જગ્યાએ રહેવા જવાના વિકલ્પો આપણી પાસે નથી. ત્યારે આપણી ધરતીને ચોખ્ખી અને સુંદર રાખવાનું આપણે કરવું પડશે નહીં તો આપણે કદાચ જીવી જશું પણ આપણી આવનારી પેઢી?

ખેર આવનારી પેઢીને શુદ્ધ વાતાવારણ આપવાના પ્રયાસ રૃપે અમે વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરવાનું શરૃ કર્યું. 

પાટણના હારીજનું જશવંતપુરાગામ. ગામના સ્મશાન અને કબ્રસ્તાનમાં અમે 4000 વૃક્ષો અનુહફાર્માની મદદથી વાવ્યા. આભાર અનુહફાર્મા. આદરણીય બીપીનભાઈ અને પરિવારજનોનો..  આ વૃક્ષોનું અમે ત્રણ વર્ષ સુધી જતન કરીશું.

આમ હવે વૃક્ષ ઉછેરનું અમારુ અભીયાન પાટણમાં પણ શરૃ થયું. 

ગામના સરપંચે સામે ચાલીને વૃક્ષો વાવી ઉછેરવા અમને આમંત્રણ આપ્યું. એમણે બનાસકાંઠાના શિયા અને ટોટાણાગામના સ્મશાનમાં અમે ઉછેરેલા વૃક્ષો જોયા બસ એ જોઈને પોતાના ગામમાં પણ આવું સુંદર કાર્ય થાય એ માટે અમને આમંત્રણ આપ્યું. અને અમે સરસ વૃક્ષો કર્યા. 

કેટલાક કામો નિરંતર કરવા પડે. એમાં આળસ કરીએ તો ચાલે નહીં. જેમ કે જમવું, ચાલવું.. આ કાર્યો જેમ નિત કરવા પડે એજ રીતે પર્યાવરણના કામો પણ નીત - નિરંતર કરવા પડે. બસ આપણે એ માટે કટીબદ્ધ થઈએ એ ઈચ્છનીય...

The rapidly changing climate and its implications have made the need for ‘Jalmadir-water shrines’ essential and imminent.

If we study the recent weather patterns, we will notice that droughts and floods have increased their occurrence. Yet, by February-March,  water scarcity begins to surface. Why so?

The water conservation efforts we launched under the guidance of Shri Rashminbhai Sanghvi have spread across arid Banaskantha; the experiences we gathered in the process have given us enough understanding of the required water conservation efforts. However, we feel the efforts government and organisations like us are putting in need to increase manifold.

We must catch and save each drop of water; only then will we be able to give back all the water we have pulled out of the ground.

In Banaskantha, we have deepened and dredged 197 lakes so far. This year alone, we repaired 40 lakes. The support we receive from the villages has helped us reach this number.

The Paadan village of Banaskantha’s Sui block is the last village after which we have the international border with Pakistan. The underground water in this region is saline as it sits at the edge of the Great Rann of Kutchh. Therefore, drilling a borewell is not an option for this village. The main occupation of the communities here is cattle rearing, and the village lake is their lifeline.

With the help of Uni Design Group and the support of the village community, we deepened the lake of Paadan village.

The enthusiastic and compassionate Sarpanch of Shri Bharatsinhji sent us an invite to work in their village. As a result, we deepened the lake in the village.

This year the rain gods have blessed Gujarat. The lake filled up to the brim, and we had the opportunity to witness the incredible sight. We should be thankful to nature for blessing us all with good monsoon and Uni Design for supporting the cause.

Looking at the condition of the region, we feel the lake could be widened a little so that it can hold more water because the villagers depend on this lake.

The primary reason of rural-urban migration is the lack of water. If there is enough water, the villagers would not be compelled to migrate to urban regions in search of livelihood. Banaskantha is a drought-prone region. A good monsoon happens once in a few years. If the lakes are big enough, they can hold more water.

I am grateful to Bharatbhai and his family members. They travelled from Vav to applaud our efforts. I always hesitate to receive accolades for our work, but this Paghri you put on my head feels special; it is an honour that comes with responsibility. I believe that if someone puts it on our heads, we should be able to uphold its integrity of it. And I promise to uphold the honour of it! I am also grateful to the universe for giving me the opportunities and strength to work on such noble causes.

જલમંદિરો મહત્તમ બંધાય એ આજના સમયની મુખ્ય જરૃરિયાત..

આમ વૈશ્વિક અવલોકન કરશો તો જણાશે કે, દુષ્કાળની સાથે સાથે અતિવૃષ્ટિનું પ્રમાણ ઘણું વધ્યું છે. છતાં પાણીની મુશ્કેલી ફેબ્રુઆરી, માર્ચ આવતા આવતા આપણને વર્તાવા માંડે છે.

આવું કેમ ?

આદરણીય રશ્મીનભાઈ સંઘવીના માર્ગદર્શનથી શરૃ કરેલું અમારુ જળ વ્યવસ્થાપનનું કાર્ય આજે તો ઘણું વિસ્તર્યુ છે. આ કાર્યો કરતાં કરતાં જ પાણીના આયોજનમાં ક્યાંક આપણે ઊણા હોઈએ એવું લાગે છે. સરકાર અને અમારા જેવી સંસ્થાઓ ઘણો પ્રયત્ન કરે પણ કદાચ એ પ્રયત્નો વધારે સઘન કરવાની વધારે જરૃર જણાય છે. 

વરસતા વરસાદના ટીપે ટીપા ને બચાવી ધરતીના પેટાળમાં ઉતારવાની જરૃર છે...જો આ કરીશું તો જ આપણે ધરતીનું જે દોહન કર્યું છે તે એને પાછુ આપી શકીશું...

બનાસકાંઠામાં અમે 197 તળાવો ઊંડા કર્યા. આ વર્ષે તો 40 તળાવો ઊંડા થયા. ગામોએ ઘણો સહયોગ કર્યો એટલે આ આંકડા સુધી પહોંચી શક્યા. 

બનાસકાંઠાના સુઈગામ તાલુકાનું અને પાકિસ્તાન બોર્ડર પર આવેલા પાડણગામનું #તળાવ અમે ઊંડુ કર્યું. આ વિસ્તારમાં તળમાં ખારા પાણી. બોરવેલ શક્ય નથી. ગામ લોકોનો મુખ્ય વ્યવસાય પશુપાલનનો ત્યારે તળાવ આ ગામની મુખ્ય જીવાદારી.

અમે યુની ડીઝાઈન ગ્રુપ અને ગામલોકોના સહયોથી આ ગામનું તળાવ ઊંડુ કર્યું. 

ગામના #સરપંચ ભરતસિંહજી બહુ ઉત્સાહી..એમણે અમને ગામનું તળાવ ઊંડુ કરવા માટે કહેણ મોકલેલું ને અમે તળાવ ઊંડુ કર્યું.

આ વર્ષે ચોમાસુ ખુબ સારુ બેઠુ. પાડણનું આખુ તળાવ સુંદર ભરાયું. બસ ચાલુ વરસાદે અમે તળાવ જોવા ગયા. આટલું બધુ પાણી જોઈને રાજી તો થવાય જ. મેઘરાજાએ મહેર કરી એ માટે કુદરતની આભારી. યુની ડીઝાઈને મદદ કરી એ માટે પણ આભારી...

આ વિસ્તારની સ્થિતિ જોતા હજુ આ તળાવ વધારે પહોળુ થાય તે જરૃરી. મૂળ ગામલોકો તેના પર નભે છે માટે..

ગામમાં પાણી નહીં હોય તો લોકો સ્થળાંતર કરશે, ગામ છોડશે ને શહેરમાં રહેવા મજબૂર થશે. ત્યારે ગામડાં ભાંગે નહીં તે પણ જોવું રહ્યું. માટે આ તળાવ વધારે પહોળું કરવાનું મન છે.. મૂળ બનાસકાંઠાનો આ સૂકો વિસ્તાર ચોમાસુ બે ત્રણ વર્ષે એક વખત સારુ આવે. જો મોટા તળાવો હોય તો વરસાદી પાણી વધારે સંગ્રહી શકે...

સરપંચ ભરતભાઈ અને તેમના પરિવારજનોનો ઘણો આભાર.. અમે જે સેવાકાર્યો કરીએ તે બિરદાવવા છેક વાવથી આપ સૌ આવ્યા... આમ તો કોઈ સન્માન કરે તે ગમે નહીં પણ તમારી પાઘડી મને ગમી.. પાઘડી એ જવાબદારી છે. ગમે એને ન પહેરાવાય. એમ પણ હું માનુ ને કોઈ પહેરાવે ને આપણે પહેરીએ તો પછી એને શોભાવવી.. હું પાઘડીને શોભાવીશ એ વચન.....

અમારા કાર્યકર નારણભાઈ અને અન્ય ફીલ્ડવર્કરની આમાં ઘણી મહેનત.. એ લોકો જ તળાવોના પસંદગી કરવાનું ને અન્ય કાર્ય કરે. આવા સરસ મજાના મહેનતુ કાર્યકર મળવા એ પણ સદનસીબ..

કુદરતની આભારી છું એણે આવા સતકાર્યો કરવાની તક આપી...

Our continued tree plantation drive in Banaskantha is gradually catching momentum and making inroads into villages in the interiors.

The community and leadership of Balodhan village had called us for the tree plantation drive in 2021. The village crematorium was selected as the plantation site. More than 2000 trees were planted on the land that was once filled with ganda-baval trees. And a vriksh-mitr had been appointed for three years. In 2 years, the entire site will be beaming with native trees. VSSM does take special care to ensure that we get optimum results from such drives. Still, it would not be possible without the proactive support and participation of the village leadership and community.

The plantation at Balodhan village was supported by respected Shri Maheshbhai Shroff (Novex Polyfilm Pvt. Ltd).

It is important that we take immediate actions to plant as many trees as possible (if not for ourselves, at least for the sake of the coming generations) in each village  and create woodlands of 5 to 10 thousand trees.

વૃલક્ષો ઉછેરવાનું અમારુ અભીયાન બનાસકાંઠામાં હવે ધીમે ધીમે સમજણ પૂર્વક પ્રસરી વિસ્તરી રહ્યું છે..

બલોધણગામના લોકોએ પોતાના ગામના સ્મશાનમાં વૃક્ષો ઉછેરવા અમને 2021માં આમંત્રણ આપ્યું. ગાંડા બાવળથી ભરેલા આ સ્મશાનમાં અમે 2000 થી વધુ વૃક્ષો વાવ્યા ને એના ઉછેર માટે ત્રણ વર્ષ સુધી વૃક્ષમિત્ર રાખ્યા..

બે વર્ષમાં આખુ સ્મશાન સરસ હરિયાળુ થઈ જશે. પણ ગામની ભાગીદારી અને સમજણ સારી એટલે આ કાર્ય થઈ શક્યું..

આ કાર્ય માટે અમને અમારા આદરણીય શ્રી મહેશભાઈ શ્રોફ (નોવેકસ પોલિ ફિલ્મ પ્રા લી.)એ મદદ કરી. 

આ ધરતી લીલીછમ થાય તે આજની તાતી જરૃરિયાત બસ આપણે સૌ વૃક્ષોના મહત્વને સમજીએ ને દરેક ગામમાં ઓછામાં ઓછા પાંચ થી દસ હજારના ગ્રામવન ઊભા કરીએ... આપણી આવનારી પેઢી માટે આ કરવું અત્યંત જરૃરી..
