Box of donation given by Smt. Krupaben to VSSM 

" Are you available in the office ? I want to meet you"

Got a call on our mobile phone. Himali received this call from Krupaben. At the given time Krupaben came to our office &  handed a box to us saying that this is her donation.. This was the first instance where someone had come to our office with a donation in a box. It was interesting. 

We first thought that it would be a loose change of coins that she may puting inside the box. But no it was not so. Krupaben was putting  in the box 5% of the profits from her business. 

Her philosophy was that everyone lives for oneself but to be happy one must also contribute towards the happiness of others. It was indeed a very enriching thought. I could not spend much time with her as I had to go out. She said we will meet again with another box. It was about 4 months when we met again at our office. We had not yet opened her first donation box. She asked us to open both the boxes because it may contain Rs 2,000 currency notes which would become redundant after 30th September. 

We talked a lot with Krupaben on that day. We found her to be very brave, generous and most importantly very inspirational. After she left we opened both the boxes and we found a sum of Rs 1,57,189. We had never imagined that the box would contain such a large donation. She does small business. She was the provider of her family. It is not easy to donate such a large sum in such a situation. 

Extremely thankful to Krupaben for her generosity. We will use this funds for building houses or for ration kit distribution to elders, wherever needed. 

Keeping a donation box in the house is a brilliant thought. For all who cannot donate at one go, can drop small amounts regularly in the box at regular intervals on the occasion of a certain pleasant event. In this we contribute to someone else's happiness too. 

I hope we all learn this from Krupaben.

'તમે ઓફીસ છો? મળવા આવવું છે..'

અમારી ઓફીસના સેલફોન પર ફોન આવ્યો. 

હિમાલીએ ફોન પર વાત કરનાર બહેનને સમય આપ્યો ને કૃપાબહેન આવી પહોંચ્યા ઓફીસ પર. એમના હાથમાં હતો એક ડબ્બો.

એમણે કહ્યું, 'આ મારુ ડોનેશન'

આમ ડબ્બો કે ગલ્લો લઈને કોઈ ડોનેશન આપવા આવ્યું હોય એવો આ પહેલો પ્રસંગ હતો. વાત રસપ્રદ હતી. 

પહેલાં લાગ્યું ઘરમાં પરચૂરણ રકમ આ રીતે ડબ્બામાં નંખાતી હશે. પણ પછી કૃપાબહેને ચોખવટ કરી એટલે ખ્યાલ આવ્યો કે, એ જે બીઝનેસ કરે એમાંથી જે કમાય તેમાંથી પાંચ ટકા રકમ એ આ ડબ્બામાં નાખે..

એ કહે, 'પોતાના માટે તો સૌ કોઈ જીવે પણ અન્યોની સુખાકારીમાં નિમિત્ત ન બની શકીએ તો એ સુખ શું કામનું?'

મજાની વાતો હતી કૃપાબહેનની. મારે બહાર નીકળવાનું હોવાથી હું એમની સાથે ઝાઝુ બેસી નહોતી શકી. પણ એમણે કહેલું, આપણે ફેર મળશું બીજા ડબ્બા સાથે.

એ વાતને ચારેક મહિના થયા. એમનો પહેલો ડબ્બો પણ અમે ખોલ્યો નહોતો. એની એમને ખબર હતી. 

એમનો બીજો ડબ્બો આપવા આવવું છે એવો ફોન આવ્યો ને આવ્યા. એમણે કહ્યું, 'આ બેય ડબ્બા ખોલી દેજો એમાં 2000ની નોટ હશે. સપ્ટેમ્બર પછી એ કોઈ કામની નહીં રહે માટે..'

એ પછી ઘણી વાત થઈ. એકદમ હિંમતવાન, દિલદાર અને સૌથી અગત્યનું પ્રેરણા આપે એવા બહેન.

એ ગયા પછી અમે બેય ડબ્બા ખોલ્યા ને એમાંથી  1,57,189 જેટલી રકમ નીકળી. અમને આટલી મોટી રકમની કલ્પના નહોતી. નાનકડો બીઝનેસ કરે, ઘરના કર્તાહર્તા એ. આવામાં આવા વિચાર સાથે આવડી મોટી રકમ કાઢવી સહેલીવાત તો નથી..

કૃપાબહેનનો ઘણો આભાર ને એમની લાગણી પ્રમાણે આ રકમ બા દાદાઓના ઘર બાંધવા, રાશન ટૂંકમાં જ્યાં જરૃર છે ત્યાં વાપરીશું.

પણ આવા ડબ્બા એક સામાટી ચેરીટી ન કરી શકનારે પોતાના ઘરમાં રાખવા જોઈએ. કોઈ શુભકાર્ય પાર પડ્યું તો એમાં ચોક્કસ રકમ નાખી દેવાય ને એ બહાને બીજાના શુભમાં નિમિત્ત પણ બનાય.

આશા રાખુ કૃપાબહેન પાસેથી અન્યો પણ શીખે.. 

આભાર કૃપાબહેન. એમને પોતાનો ફોટો મુકાય એ ન ગમે માટે એમના તરફથી મળેલા ડબ્બાનો ફોટો...

“Hello, Ben I am calling from Ahmedabad’s Civil Hospital. Deesa’s Virchandbhai has shared your reference with me, he asked me to call you and that you would help me!”

“Let me know how can I help you?”

“My husband’s eye has popped out, we took him to Palanpur hospital but the doctors there asked us to bring him to Ahmedabad Civil.”

A worried and anxious Manjuben from Patan called up to share her husband’s condition, from her talk we could comprehend that her husband is suffering from Mucormycosis.

This was in May, when the cases of mucormycosis were on the peak. It was difficult to procure injections to treat this deadly infection. I had asked them to remain in Civil and undertake the treatment.

All of a sudden, four days later, the thought of Manjuben crossed my mind. I called to inquire about Shantibhai’s her husband’s condition.

“He is not doing good, the condition of his eye has worsened. He is unable to open his one eye. I have vowed to not wear footwear until he recovers completely. I am afraid, what if he…”

I could sense that Manjuben was in tear at the other end, her voice choking. I asked her to have faith in God and send me her husband’s reports.

We showed the report to Dr. Dipenbhai and Dr. Sapanbhai who had already treated two of our patients. The recommended  immediate surgery.  But the issue was of injections. The doctors had 4 days’ worth of injection supply post which we would have to arrange ourselves.

We were in deep turmoil. What if we are unable to find more injections after withdrawing them from civil hospital.

For a moment I thought why did I call to inquire about his health. But then took it as an indication from Almighty. We moved Shantibhai from Civil hospital to another private hospital and an emergency operation was performed. Since Manjuben did not have enough financial resources we appealed for help to Chandrakant uncle who made some funds available. Apart from this the Raval community was also called for financial assistance. We had road blocks for injection but in the end everything fell into place.

“I want to meet you before leaving..” Manjuben called up after Shantibhai was discharged for the hospital after 21 days.

Next day the couple came to our office and showered lot of affection on us. VSSM’s Nitin had formed a bond with them as he remained by their side throughout the treatment.

“I want a picture of us together,” Manjuben posed next to me, with her hand behind my back just as friends would do!!

“Be grateful to the Almighty, and be ready to help anyone in need.” I told them as they kept thanking me for taking care of them.

Both agreed as they walked out of the office. I observed Manjuben had her footwear on, her faith us preserved…

 'હેલો બેન મુ અમદાવાદ સીવીલથી બોલું. ડીસાવાળા વિરચંદભઈએ તમારો નંબર આલ્યો. ઈમને કીધું કે બેન મદદ કરશે તે ઈમન ફોન કરજો..'

'શું મદદ જોઈએ?'

'માર જીગાન પપ્પાન ઓસ્યોમોં બળ્યું નોમય નઈ આવડતું પણ ડોળો આખો બાર આઈ જાય ઈમ હુજી ગ્યું હ્. પાલનપુર વતાડ્યું પણ ડોક્ટરે કીધુ ક અમદાવાદ સીવીલમાં લઈ જો તે..'

પાટણના મેત્રાણાના મંજુબહેને સેલફોન પર ચિંતાતુર આવજે આ કહ્યું. તેમના પતિને મ્યુકર માઈકોસીસ - કાળીફુગ થયાનો અમને ખ્યાલ આવ્યો.

મે મહિનાની આ વાત એ વખતે આ રોગના ઈન્જેકશનની ઘણી રામાયણ હતી એટલે સીવીલમાં રહીને સારવાર લેવા માટે મે એમને કહ્યું. 

એ પછી ચારેક દિવસ પછી મંજુબહેન અચનાક યાદ આવ્યા. એમના ધરવાળા શાંતીભાઈની તબીયત કેમ છે એ પુછવા મે ફોન કર્યો..

મંજુબહેને કહ્યું, 'નઈ હારુ બેન. એક ઓસ(આંખ) મોં રોગ થ્યો હ્. એ ઓખ હપ્પુજી નઈ ખુલતી. ઈમન હારુ ના થાય તો હુદી અડવોણા(ખુલ્લા) પગે રેવાની મોનતા મોની હ્. પણ મન બહુ બીક આવહ્. ઈમન કોક..'

મંજુબેનનો અવાજ ભીનો થઈ ગયો એ આગળ કશું બોલી ન શક્યા... મે એમને ભગવાન પર શ્રદ્ધા રાખવા કહ્યું ને શાંતીભાઈના રીપોર્ટ મંગાવ્યા.

કાળી ફુગના બે દર્દીઓની સારવાર અમે જેમની પાસે કરાવી હતી તે ડો. દીપેનભાઈ અને ડો.સપનભાઈને અમે રીપોર્ટ બતાવ્યા. એમણે તત્કાલ ઓપરેશન કરવા કહ્યું. પણ મુદ્દો ઈન્જેક્શનનો હતો. ડોક્ટરે કહ્યું ચાર દિવસના ઈન્જેકશન મારી પાસે છે પછીનું ગોઠવવું પડે. અમે ભારે મૂંઝવણમાં. સીવીલમાંથી એમને બહાર લઈ આવીએ પછી ઈન્જેક્શન ન મળે તો?

એક વખત તો સમાચાર પુછવા ફોન શું કામ કર્યો એવું પણ થયું પણ પછી ઈશ્વરનો જ સંકેત હોવાનું માની શાંતીભાઈને સીવીલમાંથી બહાર ખસેડ્યા ને તત્કાલ ઓપરેશન થયું. મંજુબહેન પાસે આર્થિક સગવડ નહીં અમારા આદરણીય ક્રિષ્ણકાંત અંકલને આ અંગે વાત કરીને એમણે એ માટે મદદ કરી. આ સિવાય રાવળ સમાજે પણ ઉઘરાણું કરીને મંજુબહેનને મદદ કરી. ખેર ઈન્જેકશન માટે થોડી તકલીફ થઈ પણ છેવટે બધુ ગોઠવાયું. 

હોસ્પીટલમાં 21 દિવસ રહ્યા પછી શાંતિભાઈને રજા આપી. મંજુબહેનનો ફોન આવ્યો, 'તમને મળીને જ ઓયથી હેડવું હ્'

બીજા દિવસે એ ઓફીસ પર આવ્યા ને ઘણો પ્રેમભાવ અમારા પર વર્ષાવ્યો. અમારો નિતીન શાંતીભાઈના ઓપરેશનથી લઈને હોસ્પીટલની દોડાદોડીમાં એમની સાથે રહેલો તે એ તો એમનો પોતિકો બની ગયેલો.

તમારી હારે ફોટો પડાબ્બો હ્ બેન એવું મંજુબહેને કહ્યું ને બહેનપણીની જેમ મારા ખભે હાથ મુકીને આમ સરસ ઊભા રહ્યા..બેઉ વારંવાર આભાર માનતા હતા. ત્યારે મે એમને કુદરતનો આભાર માનવા કહ્યું ને સમય આવે તમે પણ કોઈ વંચિતને મદદ કરજોનું ખાસ કહ્યું...શાંતીભાઈને મંજુબહેને હા પાડી ને એ બેઉએ વિદાય લીધી.. શાંતિભાઈની સાથે અમારા કેમ્પસમાંથી બહાર નીકળી રહેલા મંજુબહેનના પગ અડવાણા હતા. એમની તેમના શ્રદ્ધા ફળી હતી...

Officers visited the Orphaned children 

I had recently shared a story about 14 years old Tejal who had upon her the responsibility of caring for her three younger sisters. The sisters had been recently orphaned with death of their mother.

As soon as VSSM learnt about their condition it has been providing monthly ration kit to these girls and also wrote for government assistance.

District Social Defence Officer Shri J. H. Lakhara and his team of Shri Roshan Choduhry, Shri Vinodbhai Dindor, Shri Rameshbhai Choudhry, Shri Jignesh Panchal, Shri Pushpendra Solanki visited the girls and filled up their forms. They also provided funds from their pockets for a tarpaulin to cover the roof over their head. And within a week they ensured each girls receives Rs. 4000, so a total of Rs. 16000 was deposited into their account.

Thanks to the officers for their concern and to Chief Minister and government for the their concern towards these children in need for protection.

ઘોઘંબામાં રહેતી 14 જ વર્ષની નાનકી તેજલ પોતાની સાથે એની ત્રણ બહેનોને સાચવે. મા- બાપની છત્રછાયા આ ચારેય ગુમાવેલી. 

આ અંગે થોડા દિવસ પહેલાં અહીંયા લખેલું

અમે આ દીકરીઓને દર મહિને રાશન આપવાનું નક્કી કર્યું. સાથે સરકાર મદદ કરે એમ પણ લખેલું. જેને ધ્યાને લઈને જિલ્લા સમાજ સુરક્ષા અધિકારી શ્રી જે.એચ લખારા, તેમજ તેમની ટીમના શ્રો રોશન ચૌધરી, શ્રી વિનોદભાઈ ડીંડોર, શ્રી રમેશભાઈ ચૌધરી, શ્રી જીગ્નેશ પંચાલ, શ્રી પુષ્પેન્દ્ર સોલંકીએ દિકરીઓની મુલાકાત લીધી ને મદદ માટેનું ફોર્મ ભર્યું.. સાથે ઘર પર ઢાંકવા તત્કાલ મીણિયાની વ્યવસ્થા સ્વખર્ચે કરી. 

વળી અઠવાડિયામાં જ એમણે પ્રત્યેક દિકરીઓના ખાતામાં 4000 લેખે 16,000 જમા કરાવ્યા. 

આટલું ત્વરાથી સરકારી કામ થાય તેનો રાજીપો તો વ્યકત કરવો જ પડે.. 

આભાર અધિકારીગણનો અને આવા બાળકોની ચિંતા કરનાર આદરણીય મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રી તેમજ સરકારનો.. 

આ દિકરીઓ સુધી પહોંચવામાં નિમિત્ત બન્યા પ્રવિણભાઈ રાવળ તેમજ અમારા કાર્યકર વિનોદ તો હવે આ દિકરીઓના કાકા બની ગયા છે. કોઈ કાંઈ પણ કહે કે પુછે તો દીકરીઓ કહે, કાકાને પુછીને કહીશું.. 

ચાલો નવા સંબંધો બન્યાનો રાજીપો... એમની સુરક્ષા બાબતે ઘણાએ ચિંતા સેવી પણ અમે કોશીશ કરીશું ધ્યાન રાખવા. ને અમારી હોસ્ટેલ શરૃ થતા જ અહીંયા લઈ આવીશું એ નક્કી...

Respected Morari Bapu,

“How is our family, what are they doing, how is their condition?” our respected Morari Bapu always calls up to inquire about the families VSSM works with when an emergency strikes. He is a saint, but of a different kind.

In 2011, Shri Morari Bapu with much compassion and sensitivity shared about the existence of the nomadic and de-notified communities in this world. The world woke up to the plight of one of the most excluded groups of our society.

The second wave of Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on all and the poor are doubly impacted. Respected Bapu sent Rs. 11 lacs to enable us to help these marginalised families.

The financial support VSSM has received from many of its well-wishers and friends enables VSSM is assisting families who are economically vulnerable and have had their bout with Covid, who are unable to go out and earn their living, whose businesses have suffered because of the lockdown and curfews. VSSM is providing ration kits to the families who were unable to step out for work and assisting with the treatment for Covid impacted who required hospitalisation or have had the subsequent black fungus infection. 

Along with Respected Morari Bapu, we also have Respected Krishnakant Uncle, Indira Auntie, dear Kiritbhai Shah, dear Chainikaben – Vibhavbhai, Respected Shaliniben Mariwala, respected Mukundbhai and others helping us. The help we received will make us instrumental in bringing food and treatment to the people who need it the most. 

Our respects to Respected Bapu and all for standing beside us during such times of need. 

પૂ.મોરોરીબાપુ.. 

આફતની ઘડીમાં 'આપણો બૃહદ પરિવાર શું કરે છે? એમની સ્થિતિ કેવી છે?'વગેરે જેવી ચિંતા સાથે પૂ. બાપુનો ફોન અચૂક આવે.. મૂળ એ સંત જ નોખા.

વિચરતી જાતિઓ માટે બાપુએ બહુ ભાવપૂર્વક 2011માં કથા કરેલી ને સમાજ સમક્ષ આ જાતિઓની સ્થિતિની વાત પહેલીવાર પહોંચી.

કોરોનાની બીજી લહેરમાં આફતમાં આવી પડેલાં આપણા વંચિત પરિવારોની મદદ માટે પૂ.બાપુએ ભાવથી 11 લાખ મોકલી આપ્યા. 

બાપુ ઉપરાંત VSSM  સાથે સંકળાયેલા અન્ય પ્રિયજનોની મદદથી, આફતમાં આવી પડેલા આપણા સ્વજનો કે જેમની આર્થિક સ્થિતિ નબળી છે અને તેમને કોરોના થયો છે. કમાવવા જઈ શકાય એવી સ્થિતિ નથી. જેમના ધંધા સાવ પડી ભાંગ્યા છે છેલ્લા મહિનાઓથી કમાવવાનું કરી શક્યા નથી. એ બધાને રાશન આપવાનું તેમજ કોરોના થયા બાદ જેમને દવાખાનામાં દાખલ થઈને સારવાર લેવી પડી છે, કાળી ફુગમાં જે સપડાયા છે તેવામાંથી ધ્યાને આવતા સ્વજનોને મદદ કરવાનું તેમને સાતા પહોંચાડવાનું અમે કરી રહ્યા છીએ.  

આ કાર્યમાં પૂ.બાપુની સાથે આદરણીય ક્રિષ્ણકાંત અંકલ, ઈન્દિરા આંટી,  પ્રિય કીરીટભાઈ શાહ, પ્રિય ચૈનીકાબે - વિભવભાઈ, આદરણીય શાલીનીબહેન મારીવાલા, આદરણીય મુકુંદભાઈ વગેરે પ્રિયજનો પણ મદદ કરી રહ્યા છે.. પ્રિયજનોની આ મદદથી ઘણા વ્યક્તિઓની સારવારમાં તો ઘણાના ઘરના ચૂલા સળગતા રાખવામાં અમે નિમિત્ત બની શક્યા છીએ..

સંસ્થાના દરેક કાર્યમાં ભાવથી મદદ કરનાર પૂ. બાપુ તેમજ આપ સૌ સ્નેહીજનોને નમન....

 "Ben, when Lord Shiva asked humans for a boon, the human was planning to ask for the ability to eat once a day and bathe thrice a day but a slip of tongue made him ask eating thrice a day and bathing once a day. And the current problem is as a result of this… and we cannot stay hungry!!”

Shankarbhai shared a very legitimate concern.

I told him, “If the blessings would have been the other way all of us would have ruined our water resources. After all, we are humans!!”

Naturally, our appetite will need food and meals at regular intervals which the current challenging times have made it difficult for the marginalised and deprived families. VSSM felt it right to reach to these families and give them the food grains they need to survive through these times.

VSSM managed to reach 162 families living in villages of Tharad received grain kits yesterday from the support we received from the well-wishing patrons of National Federation of Insurance Field Workers of India (NFIFWI).

We are grateful to the National Federation of Insurance Workers of India for the support they have provided. Each of the grain kits costs Rs. 700, people shared how they have been eagerly awaiting the supplies. It was a much needed timely support.

પેટ સમય થાય એટલે ભાડુ માંગે એવું આપણે કહીએ. બસ આ ભાડુ આપવાનું આ કોરાનાના કપરા કાળમાં કેટલાક પરિવારો માટે કરવું જરૃરી લાગ્યું.

A report on water conservation efforts in Banaskantha…..

One of the most pressing issues for the people of Banaskantha is the non-availability of water for both drinking and agriculture purposes. Water is such a scarce resource tha The region receives very little rainfall and the appalling approach towards ground water led its over exploitation, reducing the ground water table to as low as 1200 feet. Our excessive dependence on the ground water for irrigation has made us neglect the conventional water reservoirs like lakes and wells that stored the rain water.  Let us not forget, these have been the only sources of potable water in the past. Traditionally these water bodies were maintained by the communities and village panchayats, every year they were cleaned for access silt and muck that would be flow in the lakes with the rain waters. But, since the need to draw water from the lakes decreased so did the need to care for them.  Ove the time the lakes and wells filled up with sand and mud, no longer storing the rain water.

Since last couple of years, VSSM has taken baby steps into water conservation in the region of Banaskantha. In 2016, with the support of our Mumbai based well-wishers we completed deepening of 2 lakes in Vadgamda: Pepariyu and Sajansari. Last year the rains remained below average hence the lakes did not fill up to the brim. This year however the initial monsoon has been good and the lakes were full to the brim.  The Motuchandru lake in Paradar village that was deepened this year has also filled up in the recent rains. However, the water stored in the lakes is reducing fast as the ground water table is too low and the thirsty earth soaks up all the water. The lake in Vadgamda which had overflowed because of heavy rains was 25% empty within a week. And this will the scenario with most of the lakes we have deepened. The communities here believe that after couple of spells of good rains, when the lakes have filled up to the brim thrice or more and once the land has soaked enough water, the ground water tables will begin to rise.”

We hope, in the coming times the communities continue to work with the same momentum to conserve and save every drop of rain that falls on their soil…

બનાસકાંઠાની ઉત્તરે થરાદ આસપાસના વિસ્તારમાં વરસાદ ખુબ ઓછો પડે. બોરવેલ દ્વારા સિંચાઈ થવાના કારણે પાણીના તળ 1000 થી 1200 ફૂટ ઊંડા ગયા. પરંપરાગત જળસ્રોતો એટલે કે, કુવા, તળાવ વગેરે બોરવેલ નહોતા ત્યારે સચવાતા પણ પછી તો નળ ખુલે અને પાણી મળે એટલે કુવા કે તળાવને સારવાનું - સરખા કરવાનું બંધ થયું. ભૂગર્ભમાં પાણી ઉતારવાનો મુખ્ય સ્ત્રોત તળાવો. જેને દર વર્ષે સરખા કરવાનું એટલે કે વરસાદી પાણી સાથે તળાવમાં આવેલો કાંપ કે રેતી, માટી સાફ કરવાનું થયું જ નહીં પરિણામે તળાવો પુરાતા ગયા અને પાણી સંગ્રહ થવાનું ઓછુ થયું.

આ વિસ્તારમાં વિચરતી જાતિઓ સાથે આપણે કામ કરીએ. એમાં ભૂગર્ભજળની સ્થિતિ ધ્યાને આવી અને જળ વ્યવસ્થાપનના કામો શરૃ કર્યા. મુંબઈ સ્થિત VSSM સાથે સંકળાયેલા સ્વજનોની મદદથી અને આદરણીય શ્રી રશ્મીનભાઈ સંઘવીના માગર્દશન હેઠળ વડગામડાના બે તળાવ પેપળિયું અને સાજણસરી 2016માં ખોદાવ્યા. પરંતુ, 2016માં વરસાદ બહુ પડ્યો નહીં ને તળાવ ભરાયા નહીં. પણ વર્ષ 2017ના ચોમાસાની શરૃઆતમાં જ કુદરતે મહેર કરી અને બંને તળાવ ભરાયા જે ફોટોમાં જોઈ શકાય છે. પડાદર ગામનું 2017ના વર્ષમાં ખોદાવેલું મોટુચાંદરુ તળાવ પણ વરસાદમાં ભરાયું. જો કે આ વિસ્તારની જમીન ખુબ તરસી, પાછો તળાવમાં ભેગો થતો કાંપ અને રેતી, માટી આપણે તળાવ ખોદ્યું તે વખતે ખોદીને બહાર કાઢ્યો. જેના કારણે જમીનમાં પાણી ઉતરવાનું ઝડપથી થયું. વડગામડામાં તો અઠવાડિયામાં જ તળાવો 25 ટકા ખાલી થઈ ગયા. જે વધુ વરસાદ પડવાના કારણે ઊભરાયા હતા. (અમે અઠવાડિયા પછી ફોટો અને વિડીયોગ્રાફી કરી) તળાવો ધીમે ધીમે ખુબ જ ઓછા દિવસોમાં પાછા ખાલી થઈ જવાના. ખેડુતો કહે એમ ‘જો આ ચોમાસે હજુ બે –ચાર વાર આવો વરસાદ પડી જાય તો અમારા તળાવો બે થી ત્રણ વાર ભરાઈ જાય અને પાણી જમીનમાં સમાઈ જાય અને પાણીના તળ ઊંચા આવે.’

ગામનું પાણી ગામમાં અને સીમનું પાણી સીમમાં એ ભાવના સાથે ગામલોકો પણ પોતાના ગામમાં વરસતા તમામ પાણીને ગામની ભૂમીમાં સમાવવાનું કરે તે માટે કાર્યબદ્ધ થાય અને દર વર્ષે ગામના તળાવોને સરખા કરે તેમ ઈચ્છીએ.

મુંબઈથી આ કામો માટે મદદની શરૃઆત થઈ હવે તો અમદાવાદમાં રહેતા સ્વજનો પણ આ કામમાં જોડાયા છે જેનો આનંદ છે અને સૌના અમે આભારી છીએ.

2015 થી 2017 સુધીમાં વાડિયા, ડોડગામ, વડગામડા, નાનોલ, આસોદર, ઉંદરાણા, પડાદર અને આસોદર ગામોના કુલ 17 તળાવો ખોદાવ્યા અને હજુ આગળ ઘણા તળાવો પુનર્જિવીત કરવાના મનોરથ છે.

આ કામોમાં અત્યાર સુધી સહયોગી રહ્યા એવા સ્વજનો..

આપ સૌના સહયોગથી આ કામો થઈ શક્યા અમે સૌ આપના આભારી છીએ.. એક રીતે કુદરતને જીવંત રાખવાના કામમાં આપ સૌ નિમિત્ત બન્યા છો... આપ સૌ પ્રત્યે આદરભાવ...
