Dear All,
The rains have remained incessant and so has the outpour of suffering and need. Families are without food and their tarpaulin covered homes are either submerged in water or have been swept away by the gushing waters. There are regions where we still haven’t been able to reach or establish contact. While yesterday the first causality occurred when Shantiben Bajaniya and her 4-year-old son were crushed to death as a wall adjoining their hut fell on them. At 2 am the nomadic families of Deesa were moved to a government school, Musabhai took assistance and made a video and sent us so that we could comprehend the situation there. Everyone is asking for food… The Jalaram temple has opened its kitchen to all .. “take as much as you want or come and eat here” is what they are saying… We still have not reached Khoda, two day back when we last received a call they were all without food and water….
Initially, we had estimated the number of families in need to be around 400, but the figure has now risen to approximately 800 families. I am sure we would be able to provide help to these families as once again you have chosen to stand by us in this time of need, it is the faith I have that makes me reach out to you all in such times of unexpected needs…

વરસાદ રોકાવાનું નામ નથી લઇ રહ્યોને લોકોની હાલત ખરાબ થઈ રહી છે. ક્યાંક છાપરાં અકબંધ છે પણ ખાવા કશું નથીની ફરિયાદ, તો ક્યાંક તો સંપર્ક જ નથી થતો. ગઈ કાલે પાલનપુરના ત્રાજપર વિસ્તારમાં છાપરુ બાંધીને રહેતા શાંતીબહેન બજાણિયાના છાપરાં પર બાજુના ઘરની દિવાલ વરસાદના કારણે પડી અને શાંતીબહેન અને તેમનો ચાર જ વર્ષનો દીકરો મૃત્યુ પામ્યા. કુદરતનો પ્રકોપ જાણે વરસતો હોય તેમ થઈ રહ્યું છે. રાતના બે વાગે ડીસામાં રહેતા પરિવારોને સરકારી શાળામાં ખસેડવા પડ્યા. ભોજવા આવો બેન એવું કહેતા મુસાભાઈની પાસે પહોંચી ના શકાતા તેમણે તો ગામના કોઈને બોલાવીને વિડીયો ઉતારીને મોકલાવ્યો. જે અહીંયા મુક્યો છે. ખાવા આપોની રાડ બધેથી ઊઠી છે... ડીસા જલારામ મંદીરે તો જેટલું જોઈએ એટલું જમવાનું લઈ જવાની અથવા આવીને જમી જવાની દરખાસ્ત મુકી. ખોડા તો પહોંચી શકાય એમ નથી છેલ્લે ફોન આવ્યો ત્યારે બે દિવસથી ખાધા પિધા વગરના બેઠા સીએની વાત કરી..
