Respect & honour

As a mark of recognition for the work that one does for the society, there are organisations & people who invite & felicitate you. It feels nice. Someone is encouraging you to put in more effort. With every honour that one gets, there is a commensurate increase in responsibility.

At one time I used to enjoy such felicitations. But I do not really desire that any more. Perhaps we all reach this position in life.

However, I would like to talk about one very unique honour that I recently received.

In Botad District they honour those who are into social work with honour  "Jambha" as "Jambha Zala Service Honour"

Respected Shri Ravjibhai Gabani works as an officer in Sachivalaya.

He is a very kind hearted soul. In the name of his parents he instituted "Anju Narshi Award" about 10 years ago which is given to the one who does exemplary work in the field of literature especially in child literature. There are not many who do it & it is really commendable that Shri Ravjibhai & Gabani Family work in this area.

The programme was organised in Kundaldham in Botad. Various people in the field of literature & art were honoured. On behalf of VSSM family, I thank Ravjibhai & family of Jambha Zala for recognising our work. It only inspires us to work with greater dedication towards the causes we are pursuing.

In this felicitation function I got an opportunity to meet several dear & respected friends like Shri Arvindbhai Barot, Ramnikbhai Zapadia & Manohardada. My respect to all. I also met Shri Kaushikbhai , the whip of Vidhansabha ( State Assembly). He was kind enough to offer whatever help we may need. I am thankful to him & to Ravjibhai.

સન્માન..

તમે જે કાર્યો કરો તેને પોરસાવવા, સમાજમાં સૌનું શુભ થાય તે આશયથી કાર્ય કરતા જૂથ, વ્યક્તિઓ દ્વારા કરવામાં આવે.. સન્માન થાય તો હરખ થાય.. જાણે કોઈ પીઠ થાબડી હજુ વધારે કરોનું કહેતા હોય એમ લાગે.. 

અમે દરેક સન્માન સાથે જવાબદારી વધે એમ કહીએ..

જો કે એક સમય હતો જ્યારે સન્માન ખુબ ગમતા આજે હવે એવો મોહ નથી રહ્યો.. કદાચ જીવનમાં આ કક્ષાએ જ આપણે સૌને પહોંચવાનું..

પણ વાત કરવાની છે એક અનોખા સન્માનની.. જે હમણાં અમને મળ્યું. 

જામભા ઝાલા સેવા સન્માન.. બોટાદપંથકમાં સેવાના કાર્યો સાથે સંકળાયેલા જામભાના નામે આ સન્માન અપાય.

આદરણીય રવજીભાઈ ગાબાણી.. સચિવાલયમાં અધિકારી તરીકે ફરજ બજાવે.. 

એકદમ ઋજુ હૃદયના વ્યક્તિ.. એમના માતા પિતાના નામે એમણે અંજુ નરશી પારિતોષીક સાહિત્યક્ષેત્રમાં ઉત્તમ કરનારને આપવાનો ઉપક્રમ દસ વર્ષ પહેલાં શરૃ કર્યો. સાહિત્ય એમાંય બાલસાહિત્ય માટે આવું કામ કરનારા આજે દેશમાં ખુબ ઓછા એમાં રવજીભાઈ અને તેમનો ગાબાણી પરિવાર સતત આ માટે મથે તે વાત આનંદ આપનારી..

કાર્યક્રમ બોટાદના કુંડળધામમાં યોજાયો. સાહિત્ય અને કલા ક્ષેત્રે એમણે અનેક વ્યક્તિઓને સન્માનીત કર્યા. 

VSSM પરિવાર વતી રવજીભાઈ અને જામભા ઝાલાના પરિવારનો આભાર વ્યક્ત કરુ છું. ને દરેક સન્માન લેતી વખતે કહીએ કે સમાજ ઉત્કર્ષ માટે મથીયે એનાથીયે બણણા જોશથી મથીશુંનું વચન...

ફરીવાર આભાર...

અને હા આ સન્માન સમારોહમાં કેટલાક બહુ પ્રિય વ્યક્તિઓ પણ મળ્યા... આદરણીય અને વહાલા અરવીંદભાઈ બારોટ, રમણીકભાઈ ઝાપડિયા, મનોહરદાદા... સૌને પ્રણામ...

આદરણીય કૌશિકભાઈ વિધાનસભાના દંડક એ પણ મળ્યા એમણે પણ જ્યાં જરૃર પડે મને કહેજોનું કહ્યું... તેમનો પણ આભાર ને રવજીભાઈને પ્રણામ....
