The world is full of fair weather friends however, as the saying goes a friend in need is a friend indeed!! VSSM as always chooses to be with its nomadic families.

 As a result of the support received from our dear Piyushbhai of Jewelex Foundation, we provided ration kits to the families in distress of Mehsana and Gandhinagar’s Rajpur, Bhimasan, Vadavim Kalol, Chatral, Jethlaj and Kheralu. 

VSSM’s determined team is making all of this possible. Tohid and Rizwan are an integral part of VSSM team, they managed to distribute the kits to the affected families in the mentioned villages. Apart from these families, the wellbeing of all these team members also remains a concern.

Help reaches us in more ways than one…

NFIFWI team handed over the cheque to Mittal Patel

Shri Bharatbhai Desai who resides in Baroda and VSSM share a very special bond. Bharatbhai has been following VSSM’s work for quite some time, so when he learnt about our efforts of distributing ration amongst the needy families he set into action. 

Bharatbhai appealed the chief officer bearers of National Federation of Insurance Field Workers of India (NFIFWI) a body that represents LIC’s Class 2 officers (Development Officers) to support VSSM’s efforts. Within 2 days the federation members collected Rs. 7 lacs to prepare 1000 kits  worth Rs. 700 each.

 Today Shri Dipak Vaghela, National Vice-President; Shri Dhramendra Patel, General Secretary – Ahmedabad Unit; Shri Parthiv Shah, President -Ahmedabad Unit and other office-bearers of the federation handed over the cheque to us.

We are extremely grateful to Dipakbhai, Dharmendrabhai, Parthivbhai and well-wishers from NFIFWI.

The amount will be used to prepare and distribute ration kits to 370  families in Surendranagar, 186 families in Amreli district and 444 families in Banaskantha district.

 “I am a member of VSSM team, so please do not thank me!”  Bharatbhai has requested.

The appeal for support has reached many. Ahmedabad’s Geet Gadhvi has contributed Rs. 21,000 to the cause.

VSSM remains extremely grateful to its family of well-wishers. It is your support that makes all of these possible.

મદદ તો કેવી સરસ રીતે મળી જાય..

બરોડામાં રહેતા પ્રિય ભરતભાઈ દેસાઈ સાથે બહુ અનોખો નાતો.. એ VSSM દ્વારા થતા દરેક કાર્યને જુએ.. એમણે રાશનકીટ વંચિત પરિવારો વચ્ચે આપણે વહેંચીએ એ જાણ્યું એટલે લાગી ગયા તુરત કામમાં..

નેશનલ ફેડરેશન ઓફ ઈન્સ્યુરન્સ ફિલ્ડ વર્કર્સ ઓફ ઇન્ડિયા ( NFIFWI ) જે LIC ના કલાસ ટુ અધિકારીઓ ( ડેવલપમેન્ટ ઓફિસર ) નું પ્રતિનિધિત્વ કરે છે. તેમના મુખ્ય હોદ્દેદારો સાથે આ કાર્યમાં મદદ કરવા એમણે વિનંતી કરી અને જુઓ બે દિવસમાં આ ફેડરેશનના સભ્યોએ મળીને 700 રૃપિયાની એક કીટ એવી 1000 કીટ માટે રૃા.7,00,000 ભેગા કરી દીધા.

આજે આ રકમનો ચેક ફેડરેશનના દિપક વાઘેલા ( રાષ્ટ્રીય ઉપાધ્યક્ષ ), ધર્મેન્દ્ર પટેલ ( જન. સેક્રેટરી અમદાવાદ યુનિટ ) પાર્થિવ શાહ ( પ્રેસિડેન્ટ અમદાવાદ યુનિટ ) અને ફેડરેશનના અન્ય હોદ્દેદારો આવીને આપી ગયા..

આ રકમથી આપણે અમરેલી જિલ્લામાં -186, સુરેન્દ્રનગર જિલ્લામાં -370, બનાસકાંઠામાં- 444 રાશનકીટનું વિચરણ કરીશું.

આભાર દિપકભાઈ, ધર્મેન્દ્રભાઈ, પાર્થિવભાઈ તેમજ NFIFWI ના સૌ સ્નેહીજનોનો...

ભરતભાઈએ થેક્યુ કહેવાની ના પાડી છે. એમણે કહ્યું હું VSSM ટીમનો સભ્ય છું.

મદદની અપીલ અંગે વાંચીને અમદાવાદના ગીત ગઢવીએ પણ 21,000 અનુદાન આપવા કહ્યું છે.

 VSSM tries to spread light in the lives of the poor and needy with this little prayer in its heart.

 The COVID situation has put all of us under a lot of stress, it is unlike anything we have ever tackled  in our lifetime. Every small gesture matters, every little support helps. VSSM through the support of its well-wishing donors has been sending ration and supplies to the daily wage earning families severely impacted by the lockdown.

80 such families of Patan and Mehsana’s Ranuj, Chanasma, Nagalpur, Balisana, Patan, Kharivavdi and Boratwada have been provided ration kits under this effort. When VSSM’s Mohanbhai reached the families along with the kits he was met with sighs of relief. “We have been waiting for so long…we were eagerly waiting for you to reach us!!”

આ વંચિતો માટે VSSM આશાનું કીરણ છે..

 What is your caste or creed? What do you have? How many times have you received ration during the past few days? Have you received cooked meals? VSSM helps people in distress and need without asking any of these uncomfortable questions.

Food that too uncooked!! To be honest, for how long can one eat the same food every day. “Ben, if you give us ration we will cook for ourselves. Even a rotla with chilli is enough for us, please do not give us cooked meals!!” People are sharing such feedback and we respect their choice. 

 It important that we understand that these families are required to accept food as a donation because they cannot venture out to work and earn. None of them is a bagger and out ration kits are not making them wealthy. 

 Recently in Bagasara, we provided ration kits to76 families belonging to Devipujak, Valmiki, Nathbawa communities with support from Piyushbhai Kothari. Thank you Piyushbhai.

 નાત- જાત, તમારી પાસે શું છે? તમને કેટલીવાર રાશન મળ્યું? રાંધેલું મળે છે કે નહીં? વગેરે જેવા એકેય પ્રશ્નો પુછ્યા વગર VSSM વંચિત અને તકલીફમાં હોય એવા માણસોને મદદ કરે..

લોકો શું માંગી રહ્યા છે? ખાલી જમવાનું...

હા રાંધેલા માટે હવે ના પાડે છે. મૂળ એક જ પ્રકારનું કેટલા દિવસ સુધી ખાઈ શકાય. બેન રાશન આલશો તો રોટલો ને મરચુ ખાઈન પડ્યા રઈશું.. પણ રાંધેલું ભઈ સાબ ના આલો એવું એ લોકો કહે છે અને એને અમે સન્માન આપીયે છીએ.

ફોટોમાં દેખાય એમાંના એકેય આપણે આપેલી રાશનકીટથી બંગલાવાળા નથી થઈ જવાના...જરૃર છે એમની પાસે નથી એટલે માંગી રહ્યા છે.. ત્યારે આપણો ધર્મ આપવાનો અને આપણે એ બરાબર નિભાવવાનો...
