The Bharathari families living in Mahadeviya village for the first time got their Ration cards:

In the Mahadeviya village of the Disa Block of Banaskantha District, 12 Bharathari families use to stay for the specific period of a year. Many of them still use to do begging by playing Ravanhattha (a folk music instrument). The rest are doing labour. Despite living here since years they were not having their ration cards. Through the efforts of the VSSM they got their Voter ID cards and also got BPL (Below Poverty Line) ration cards, on 2nd August 2014.

In the photo we can see respected Shri Pradipbhai Shah, Shri Rashmin Sanghavi, both are renowned Chartered Accountants from ‘Friends of VSSM’, the group, which always stood by VSSM as a mentor, guide and a big support. We also can see Ujamshibhai Khandla , a builder, who has also been a technical Support for building the houses for these communities.

At this juncture we also thank Shri Mukeshbhai Gilva, Mamlatdar who took the stock of the situation of these families and had courage to issue BPL cards to them.

મહાદેવીયામાં રહેતા ભરથરી પરિવારોને પહેલી વાર મળ્યા રેશનકાર્ડ

બનાસકાંઠા જીલ્લાના ડીસા તાલુકાના મહાદેવિયાગામમાં વર્ષોથી ૧૨ ભરથરી પરિવારો વર્ષનો ચોક્કસ સમય આવીને રહે છે. આ પરિવારોમાંના ઘણા ખરા આજે પણ રાવણહથ્થો વગાડી યાચવાનું કરે છે તો કેટલાક છૂટક મજૂરી કરે છે. આ પરિવારો વર્ષોથી અહી રહેતાં હોવા છતાં એમની પાસે મતદારકાર્ડ કે રેશનકાર્ડ નહોતા. vssm ની મદદથી તેમને મતદારકાર્ડ મળ્યા અને ૦૨/૦૮/૧૪ ના રોજ એમને બી.એલ.પી. રેશનકાર્ડ પણ મળ્યા.

આ પરિવારોની સ્થિતિ જાણી એમને BPL કાર્ડ આપવાની હિંમત દાખવનાર મામલતદાર શ્રી મુકેશભાઈ ગીલવાનો આ તબક્કે આભાર વ્યક્ત કરીએ છીએ..
