Let’s do it…planning for major collective reforestation drive….
VSSM is planning to carry out a major forestation and reforestation drive in Banaskantha. The villages where the leadership and community agrees on making arrangements for water, identification of areas to plant trees, appointment of a tree care taker will be taken up for the plantation drive and receive partial support from the organisation.

The idea has been well accepted and communities are showing tremendous zeal. Kankrej and Ratangadh villages have already identified two beautiful spots for the same. And they are already planning ahead. Govindbhai and Dineshbhai and other youth from the villages have decided to join hands to make their region green again. This initial positive support we have received has enthused us further.
We look forward to similar response from other villages as well and appeal them to join in, VSSM is prepared to support and take this drive further.

વનીકરણનો કાર્યક્રમ ગામની ભાગીદારીથી કરવાનું આયોજન થઈ રહ્યું છે.
ગામો સામેથી પાણીની વ્યવસ્થા, વૃક્ષો ક્યાં વાવવા તે જગ્યા અને વૃક્ષોના જતન માટે એક માણસને આપવી પડતી સહાય જેમાં સંસ્થા પણ પોતાનું યોગદાન આપશે આ રીતે તૈયાર થઈ રહ્યા છે.
જે ગામને આ શરતો મંજુર હોય તે ગામોમાં વનીકરણ કરવાનું નક્કી ક્યું છે.
ગામો ઉત્સાહથી સાથે આવી રહ્યા છે. કાંકરેજના રતનગઢ ગામે બે સુંદર જગ્યા વનીકરણ માટે અમને બતાવી.
અને સહયોગ આપવાની ખાત્રી તો હોય જ.
ગામના દિનેશભાઈ તથા ગોવિંદભાઈ સાથે ગામના અન્ય યુવાનો જોડાયા છે જેમણે ગામને હરિયાળુ બનાવવાના નિર્ધારમાં ઉત્સાહ પૂર્યો છે.
બસ આમ જ અન્ય ગામો તૈયાર થતા જાય તો ઘણું કામ થઈ શકે...
